Woman arrested for hit-and-run in York, police say

Police arrested a York woman Thursday after they determined she was involved in a crash and then left the scene, according to the department's online log.

About 8:11 a.m., York City Police responded to the area of East College Avenue and South George Street for a crash. Following an investigation, they discovered that driver Franchesca Marie Miranda-Pantoja had left the scene, according to the log.

Miranda-Pantoja, of the first block of North Queen Street, was later arrested and charged in connection with the hit-and-run. A check of Miranda-Pantoja's criminal history reveals numerous traffic citations. She could not be reached for comment Sunday.
