So, the highlight trend is going nowhere but it does seem to be less about strobe and more about going back to a subtle, shimmery glow.
I’ve been trying out the forthcoming Bareminerals Invisible Bronze and Invisible Glow powders. I’m not particularly a powder fan but there’s a beautiful diffusion on these that means you can blend to a very natural looking finish.
The slightly marbled ‘Glow’ is a gold and peachy fusion with light tan tones at the back. It’s quite sparkly which is a different thing to glow, but if you can fast forward to summer days, it’s everything pretty if you don’t mind tiny twinkles in your formula. Unusually, I think this is great for paler tones that struggle to find glow powders but equally I can see some awesome highlights emerging for deeper tones, too.

The Bronze is a warm, not too deep shade – again, a light hand would make this suitable for pale tones. It also has tiny twinkles in it but other than that, it’s impressively natural-looking.
These don’t launch til March by which time I think the new Laura Mercier and Too Faced ultra sheeny glow powders will have hit counters so we’re spoilt for choice on how high-beam-super-gleam we go this summer. The bareMinerals powders are £25 each – I use Complexion Rescue nearly every day anyway and that’s the ideal kind of natural base to use these with.

I second the first question, what shade was the actual Invisible Bronzer? Medium or Tan? I am interested in getting Tan and this if this is indeed the colour. your swatch helps so much!
