Many die-hard sports fans never get to meet their favorite players or watch a game in person - a task made even harder if you live 7,000 miles away from the arena.

But when Fatima Al Ali - a 26-year-old hockey fan and player from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates - found out she was getting the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C. to see and meet the Capitals, her favorite team, she was speechless.

Former Caps player Peter Bondra was in the UAE in November when he met Al Ali, who plays for UAE's women's national team, and was so impressed with her skills, he and the team surprised her with the trip.

She attended her first NBA game Monday - Cleveland's thrilling overtime win against the Wizards - watched the Caps destroy the Carolina Hurricanes, 5-0, on Tuesday night in the owner's box and did some site seeing around the nation's capital.

But the best was her reaction to meeting Alex Ovechkin and the rest of the team.

But she's not done with the Caps yet. According to a team press release, she'll show off her stick stills at the end of Wednesday's practice and will be part of a ceremonial puck drop before the Caps take on the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday.

With skills like these, maybe she can show the Caps a thing or two.
