Penn State football chat, 8 p.m., Jan. 23

Penn State's next big step is finishing off an impressive 2017 recruiting class.

The promising Nittany Lions return arguably the nation's top tailback in Saquon Barkley (26) and the Big Ten's top tight end in Mike Gesicki (88). But will they be better overall in 2017?

So how will the Nittany Lions do during the stretch run to National Signing Day on Feb. 1?

Let's chat about that and so much more tonight at 8.

We should know by then if the Lions will add the services of elite Maryland defensive back Tariq Castro-Fields to a recruiting class already hovering on the edge of the nation's Top 10. And maybe how they will replace linebacker Dylan Rivers who just jumped to Virginia Tech.

We'll chat about the efforts of James Franklin and his staff as the page slowly turns toward a new season ahead — the first one in forever with true national title aspirations.
