Michigan defensive analyst Rick Finotti is leaving to become the head coach of Division III John Carroll in Cleveland, FootballScoop.com reported Tuesday night.

Finotti was head coach of St. Edward High in Cleveland before joining Jim Harbaugh’s staff at Michigan. He spent two years at Michigan.

Michigan’s staff has endured some changes in recent weeks. Tony Tuioti, who had been Michigan’s director of player personnel last season, was hired last month to coach defensive line at Fresno State.

Harbaugh assistant Jedd Fisch was pass-game coordinator at Michigan and is now offensive coordinator at UCLA, and running backs coach Tyrone Wheatley is now running backs coach with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
