NFL hot seat rankings: With Jeff Fisher gone, here's who could be next

Todd Bowles' Jets are in last place in the AFC East.

With the Los Angeles Rams firing Jeff Fisher, here is our ranking of other NFL coaches believed to be on the hot seat:

1. Gus Bradley, Jacksonville Jaguars: What's left to say? He's only won as many as five games in a season once in his soon-to-end four-year tenure with the Jags.

2. Todd Bowles, New York Jets:  Can an overtime victory over the one-win San Francisco 49ers help? Well, it can't hurt, but we will see. It's only Bowles' second season, but this disaster, especially an underperforming defense, reflects quite poorly on him.

3. Marvin Lewis, Cincinnati Bengals: Over the next three weeks, his team will play the Pittsburgh Steelers, Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens. That's a tough path to a winning season for the 5-7-1 Bengals.

4. John Fox, Chicago Bears:  If we were about to turn 62, which Fox will in February, we'd hope to either coach a talented team that needs a shot in the arm (ahem, Jacksonville? Cincinnati?) or hit the beaches and links.

5. Mike McCoy, San Diego Chargers: Just when you think his capable squad might start stacking some victories, they do another faceplant. And with Los Angeles relocation rumors again picking up steam, it feels like change could be in the ocean air.

6. Rex Ryan, Buffalo Bills: His team proved again Sunday that it's just not ready (or sufficiently built) to hang with the league's upper tier. It remains to be seen whether owner Terry Pegula deems that a Rex issue or a talent issue.
