NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – Tori Jankoska made eight 3-pointers and scored 32 points — both career highs — and No. 24 Michigan State beat Delaware 81-64 on Friday night to advance to the championship game of the Radisson Thanksgiving Classic.

With the win, the Spartans improve to 5-1 this season. This is the second time in the last three seasons that Michigan State has started with a 5-1 mark, beginning the 2014-15 season with a 5-1 record. On their treacherous five-game road trip, the Spartans are currently 2-1.

Jankoska made two 3-pointers in the first 47 seconds of the game and scored 24 points in the first half on 8-of-9 shooting from distance. She finished 11 of 16 from the field and 8 of 12 from 3-point range. Her previous career high for 3s was six.

Taryn McCutcheon had nine points and eight assists for Michigan State (5-1). Jankoska added six assists as the Spartans used 23 of them for 29 made field goals.

Michigan State was ahead 50-36 at halftime and didn't allow a Delaware field goal in the third quarter until the 3:09 mark.

Erika Brown led Delaware (4-1) with 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting.
