Bryn Forbes can start looking for more permanent real estate options in the San Antonio area. The former Michigan State guard went undrafted in June before catching on with the Spurs shortly after, and announced Saturday afternoon that he has made the roster.

It certainly wasn't a given that Forbes would do so. He played on their Summer League team and later averaged 9.5 points while shooting 58.8% from 3-point range in six preseason games this month.

Forbes will see a familiar face on the opposing bench Tuesday as San Antonio opens the season against Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors in Oakland. He could also see his former teammate and best friend, Denzel Valentine, when San Antonio travels to Chicago Dec. 8. Forbes will earn the rookie minimum salary, around $543,000.
