Southern New Mexico State Fair kicks off

LAS CRUCES - The annual Southern New Mexico State Fair & Rodeo opened Wednesday and will last through Sunday at the Southern New Mexico State Fairgrounds.

Along with the usual livestock competitions, arts and crafts shows and midway, special attractions this year include the Bengal Tiger Encounter, Cycle Circus Live and the Amazing Adrian Magic Show. The Turquoise Circuit Pro Rodeo will also be held in conjunction with the fair. Musical headliners include Neal McCowen & The Goodtime Gang on Thursday, Bart Crow on Friday and Stoney LaRue on Saturday.
