Person of interest ID’d in flight attendant sex assault

The Detroit News

Authorities have identified a person of interest in an 18-year-old flight attendant’s alleged sexual assault last week at a Days Inn in Romulus.

Police are seeking tips to help them find Dwuan Parkman, who also is wanted on a probation violation, according to a release from Crime Stoppers of Michigan.

The sexual assault, reported June 20, allegedly happened during a layover in Romulus, officials at Air Georgian, the flight attendant’s employer, have said.

Security photos show a man at the front desk of the hotel in the 9500 block of Middlebelt at about 4:16 a.m. He had arrived in a separate vehicle at about the same time a taxi dropped off the victim and her co-workers, police said.

Investigators said he loitered in the lobby before disappearing from view of cameras.

Soon after, the victim reported she had been assaulted, authorities said. It was not clear how the suspect allegedly gained entry to her room.

Anyone with information about Parkman is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 773-2587, going to www.1800speakup.org or texting CSM and a tip to CRIMES (274637).
