Pistons begin Summer League games Saturday

The Pistons have announced their Summer League roster and schedule for Orlando, Florida, next month, and one name with local ties is former Michigan State center Derrick Nix.

Pistons participating include No. 1 draft pick, forward Henry Ellenson, and No. 2 pick, guard Michael Gbinije. Last year’s top two picks, forward Stanley Johnson and guard Darrun Hilliard, also will play. Lorenzo Brown, who played for the Pistons at the end of last season, also is on the team.

The Pistons’ first game is at 3 p.m. Saturday against the Knicks. The also face Orlando Blue on July 4, Indiana on July 5, Miami on July 7 and a game on July 8 against an opponent to be determined. All games will be on NBA TV.
