Wings sign newcomer Sadowy to three-year deal

Detroit – The Red Wings signed forward Dylan Sadowy to a three-year entry level contract on Tuesday.

Sadowy, 20, was acquired in a trade last week with the Sharks, the Red Wings sending a 2017 third-round draft pick to San Jose.

Sadowy was a 2014 third-round pick of the Sharks, and has twice gone over the 40-goal mark in the Ontario Hockey League.

Last season, while with Saginaw and Barrie, Sadowy had 45 goals and 25 assists in 64 games.

In 11 playoff games with Barrie, Sadowy had two goals and three assists).

Sadowy (6-foot-1, 195 pounds) is expected to begin his pro career next season in Grand Rapids.
