The Fighting Irish will host the Spartans at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 17. The game will be televised by NBC.

It will be MSU's second game of the season -- the Spartans have a bye after opening against Furman on Sept. 2.

On Wednesday, the Big Ten announced that MSU's homecoming game against Northwestern on Oct. 15 will start at 3:30.

The Spartans previously were picked for night games on the Big Ten Network at Indiana and at Maryland.
