Jewelry, craft store moving from suburbs to city

The retailer is moving from Kingston Square shopping center in Springettsbury Township

ArtFX & Beadz is moving from Springettsbury Township to North Beaver Street in York.

Art FX & Beadz — a jewelry, arts and crafts supply store — is moving to downtown York from Springettsbury Township, filling one of the few vacant storefronts on North Beaver Street.

Developers pitch plans for Northwest Triangle, ex Danskin site

The retailer, which had been located in the Kingston Square shopping center, is moving to 15 N. Beaver St. The store is expected to open at the new location in time for May's First Friday, according to the store's Facebook page. A sign on the Beaver Street window said the store will open this week.

The store's owner could not immediately be reached Monday.

ArtFX & Beadz offers classes in jewelry-making and bead-stringing, among other craft-making topics. It sells home decor items, in addition to jewelry and beads, according to its website.

Downtown York building to be redeveloped

ArtFX & Beadz is taking the space left vacant by women's clothing boutique Elizabeth & West Fashion House's move to 44 W. Philadelphia St.. Elizabeth & West plans to open at its new location later this month. The store's website said it plans to hold a ribbon cutting Friday.
