YOU SHOULD never have any doubt how God feels about someone. He is love. He proved this by dying for us. The King of the Jews, a Jew, died for those who were not Jews, who would never know Him otherwise. Two young men on a rooftop in Guatemala, spinning Christian Latin House music. A floating slum in Nigeria, overflowing with smiling children, and leaders dedicated to Jesus. A Jew in Jerusalem, who should be dead, his skull partially removed, except the Rav davened (prayed) and God did a miracle. And the synagogue rejoiced.

The God of the Jews died for the Jews. For the Germans. One of my favorite songs is “Adonai” sung in German. For a Korean man who converted to Judaism. He said it was hard, difficult, but he would worship the God of Israel.

We should have no doubt how God feels about people. In an era of time when Jews were considered nothing by the Romans, dispensible, Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ, Moshiach, preached love and healed all those who were sick, entire multitudes, to show the heart of the Father (John 14:9). He wanted God’s goodness to man that He created to be openly seen. What one lousy fallen angel did that seemed to have destroyed the world was undone by the obedience of the Son of God, Son of Man.

That was the purpose of the cross. Jesus obeyed unto death, entirely laying down His will, His right as human to live a full life and die at an old age, surrounded by family. He did what Adam failed to do. Adam knew it was sin to eat of the tree, we are told (1 Timothy 2:14). Not that the tree was sinful but that God had warned him he’d be tempted and he needed to say no (Genesis 2:17). He ate anyway. And for that reason, God sent His Son.

Not to wage a war and fight a battle. God didn’t have to fight His creation, neither human nor angelic. He’s God! But He knew no one was capable of living sinless to the extent Jesus did, and those people in a nation that would form under God indivisible were worth it. Those who’d become abundant in a country formed as a prison colony would grow from exiles to influence. And an Asian country, once under the thumb of Great Britain would overflow with good people.

He died for a tribe in Africa who met a Jew, visiting their country, and fell at his feet and wept. Here was someone related to Messiah. He died for a young Jew, native to Israel, who watched Christians weep where this Jesus once walked and marveled at it. God chose to fix the world one person at a time, from where they lived, within their culture, their likes and tastes. He attempts to change no one from who they are, but instead, to highlight it with the grace and mercy of God and make the world that much better. He died so we’d know war was not necessary. Just peace. He Himself is enough.

THREE TIMES recently, I’ve heard a story from God’s Word told from the speaker’s own mind. In short, they added, between the lines, thoughts and feelings that aren’t in the Bible telling of that moment in time. God gives revelation of what’s in His Word. But that’s the point, He gives it. Many people take what they read and interpret it with their own knowledge. I recall a bestselling book I read years ago, written at a location that the author had never visited. Many writers do this. I’ve done it. But I chose to limit myself to obvious information and not write about what I had never seen. This author did it so well people couldn’t believe she’d described it as she had. I don’t know if this was unusual numbers-wise, but applying it to the stories in the Word, we’re constantly searching for more Truth in them and are inclined to ad-lib.

This goes to the meaning of what we read in God’s Word as well. We can’t take random passages and turn them into prophecies. Our foundation must always be the Spirit and the nature and character of God. We must also know the Bible from Genesis to Revelation is about the Jews, over thousands of years of time. We cannot make the Gospel stories, for instance, having happened yesterday on Main Street in middle America. Or England. Or Australia. Or anywhere but Israel.

Pete and Repete get us in trouble. We take what others say and repeat it without, again, asking the Spirit. One man’s inaccuracy soon becomes ours. If that bestselling author had flubbed details of her story’s location on the globe, she would have gotten blasted for it. Yet somehow, because “all these Bible characters” are dead, it’s okay to speculate. Jesus is alive. What does He think? I ask this a lot about what I say and what I write. I listen to His Voice, and the more I’ve learned to hear Him, the more amazing things He tells me about His Word that I never knew and that, often, someone said differently. Said wrong. Why would He share such Truth with me? Because I treasure it and because it matters to me.

I’m bothered by people who don’t care. Give yourself an inch, you’ll soon take a mile. It becomes easier and easier to just say things and not pray about them first. I’m asking you to pray about them. To pray about what you hear in the pulpit, as well. To pray about what’s said in the Word. There are things which apply only historically, to that author’s location and lifetime. For instance, the Israel of Jesus’ lifetime, the generation who hung Him on the cross, is not the Israel of today. The Pharisees He spoke sharply to are not today’s Synagogue rebbes. Not at all. Jesus has shown this to me, time and time again, and how much it has altered my point-of-view. It comes down to that.

Are you stuck on how you see it? Or is what God sees what’s of value? You have to lay down your vision in order to see His. He asks complete surrender. But to see where you were and where you are now, to see Him better is worth it. Trust me.

TWO MEN with the same appearance have a very different heart. Side-by-side, they resemble. Inside-out, they don’t.

We judge by appearances all the time. We’ve fought wars over it. But hatred is hatred in any clothing, and mercy is mercy in any culture. It isn’t their tattoos we should notice, nor their skin color, it is Jesus. Do they shine like Jesus?

A Jew wears certain clothing as described in the Torah. Depending on their conservatism, there are different styles. All of it has a Hebrew name and a particular purpose, both for men and for women. Married woman wear scarves over their hair, as suggested to the church at Corinth. Paul chose a Jewish custom from the Law to show proper decorum in that culture (1 Corinthians 11). Men wear tefillah on their shirts and a kefir on their head. They grow the hair on their temples to some length.

We’ve judged them for it. But who pleases God’s heart? Us, dressed in what we call freedom from the Law, judging them for the Law? Or them, following the Law, to show their covenant?

In another picture of the Jews, we have their rules of washing and eating. Paul himself covered this well in Romans 14. But see Jesus here. He honored the Law in His fasting in the wilderness. He honored it in His eating the Passover. He told the cleansed lepers to go show themselves to the priest, as commanded in the Law (Matthew 8:4;Luke 17:14). Though He made a point, more than once, in speaking to the Jewish religious leaders, to correct them for how they had corrupted the Law, He commanded no one to stop following it. In fact, He said in His sermon on the mount that He came to fulfill the Law, not destroy it (Matthew 5:17).

So given their covenant has been fulfilled and it is eternal, is our judgment of them really God?

Look at children. They do what they know to do where they are in age and knowledge. Yet, we speak of the Jews, without qualm. We let a language barrier and physical distance and wrong church ideas speak instead of the Spirit. And this thought applies to our need for denominations. God sees the heart of every man and angel and devil and knows us well. When we criticize pastors, rabbis, worship artists – Jew or Gentile – we show how immature we are. First, God doesn’t need our defense. We are told to pray for people (1 Timothy 2:1), to show them the love of God. He then does the healing. Second, hear Paul on this too:

“Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual, but as worldly—as infants in Christ. I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for solid food. In fact, you are still not ready,” (1 Corinthians 3:1-2 BSB)

They were arguing over church leaders. He called it childish. We make sin what isn’t sin. We make glory of what isn’t ours to glory in. Does it matter how the Jew dresses if he’s faithful to G_d? Or does it matter that we criticize them and say it’s acceptable? Which is more important, that we’re Pentecostal and proud? Pentecost is a Jewish holiday. The Day of Pentecost was 120 Jews in the Jews’ capital city celebrating according to the Law, and 3,000 Jews were saved. Now see Peter’s vision of the sheet let down from heaven. The Spirit said, “Rise, Peter; kill, and eat (Acts 10:13),” but he argued against it. “Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean (Verse 14).” Peter was still following the Law. There is no place in God’s children for arrogance.

Jesus is humble. This is the first thing you’ll learn if you meet Him. Oh, and Jew.

GOD BREAKS natural law that He wrote. He wrote it so it would carry life. All natural law is for our benefit. Nothing God set into motion is meant to harm or damage. Nothing.

That said, there are Truths which we must allow to override God’s natural rules. Jesus walked on water, for instance. Not naturally possible, yet we believe it is Truth. The prophet Isaiah caused the sun to go backward in time, another one (2 Kings 20:9-11). This cannot happen outside of divine intervention.

And so are miracles. Many in Jesus’ day, more during the work of the apostles who formed the church, and those seen In the Jews today. There are ministers such as Benny Hinn, as well, who see great miracles. Miracles are not happening for those who dislike their message. This includes Jew and Gentile. I found it interesting, a Jew who spoke with Rebbe Shlomo Yehuda along this line. Some had called miracles he’d experienced “fake”. He wanted to speak publicly before synagogue attendees and assert God is working miracles. Another rabbi spoke of intense study of Torah from one student, bored of it, as being religion. God is relationship, he said.

I hear this from the Jews a lot. God is Father and He desires to walk with them. This is God of salvation to the Gentiles as well. We must focus on our similarities and stop putting each other down. So much teaching in the Gentile church is minus Jews. They have become an anti-truth culture in our thinking. This is so far from true, and what you need to see of this train of thought is there is great revelation among us and them OF THE SAME TRUTHS. I cringe to hear the same old anti-Jew theology in the pulpit. I rejoice to hear “new covenant” Truth spoken by Jews, who haven’t read Jesus or the apostles. Many times, they have quoted Jesus or the apostles word-for-word not knowing it. The Spirit is upon the earth among them. That is what Jesus did.

We are hung up on they won’t confess He died on the cross. The Truth is, they don’t have to. They have a covenant. God’s Almighty promise to them of redemption from sin, and yes, they call it this, and of heaven when they pass. Heaven is full of Jews. Hell has so much misspoken of it. It is God’s judgment, not Satan’s kingdom. Please settle this in your thinking. Then tell yourself God is love, John 3:16, and mercy enduring forever, something repeated in the psalms. Which are written to and spoken by Jews. They know them by heart. They know the Torah (THE WORD in Hebrew) is God speaking. Do we?

GOD SAW ahead and provided for Israel. He knew where they’d be today and what would happen to them to become who they are. Jesus prophesied Holocaust (Matthew 24:9; Revelation 13:17-18). He revealed Himself in John’s Revelation as King, able to open the seals (Revelation 5:9). He gave history, then in the future, now fulfilled. Israel is exactly who God said they would be. Israel today is who He wanted them to be when He wrote the Law.

The Law is God’s Word. Torah is God’s Word. It is eternal. Covenant. We, Gentiles, are not in it. It was given to Jews as their promise of salvation. Redemption. We don’t get this. The Remedy Translation tells a Truth of us in James 2:19. The apostle James says, ”But some will argue, ‘Gentiles simply trust God, while Jews work to be saved.’ Show me how a person gets well by trusting but not applying God’s treatment to their lives, and I will show that real healing only happens when we do both—trust God and follow his treatment plan.” Dr. Timothy Jennings is the writer of the Remedy. His use of medical terms for salvation is immensely helpful to me. It is the “treatment plan.” But I want you to notice our opinion of the Jews, as he stated it.

”But some will argue, ‘Gentiles simply trust God, while Jews work to be saved.’” (James 2:19, Remedy)

This is what I see all the time in our services. Maybe not directly. As I have said, growing up, I knew Jesus was a Jew. I knew He Fathered the Jews, though not in those words. I knew the disciples were Jews. But I also believed Israel was not saved. The church taught this. The Gospel, as we have taught it, isn’t Jewish. We’ve modernized it and removed their methods and thought patterns. So much so, we don’t see them rescued by their King. Jesus is King of the Jews, King of Israel. Why would He fail His people? This makes no sense and is so far outside of God’s character of love and compassion. He didn’t create Israel to abandon it, but instead, knew them and sealed them as His.

What are Jesus’ words in the Gospels? He described them and us, the church, as old wine and new wine. At the same time, we’ve got to get over saying they are “old” and have passed away. These are the words of the apostle Paul, A JEW, but not what he meant. He pleaded for them to be saved, and in that hour, in his day, the temple remained, and they kept offering sacrifices in it. An unnecessary thing. They saw it as eternal. Jews today say the same. But they know G_d as redemption, as Father, having lived without the temple for thousands of years.

Of the wine, Jesus said, “Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved (Matthew 9:17).” BOTH THE NEW AND THE OLD WINE ARE PRESERVED. It isn’t that the Gentile church has replaced Israel. In fact, Paul said God had removed the dividing line between us (Ephesians 2:14). Again, his words are also the words of James. What we keep stumbling over is HOW. We’ve designed altar calls, moving many to the lobby, and the Jews, they don’t give them. So who’s right? We miss the point. It isn’t right vs. wrong. It’s how we should speak of them, and how they will speak of us.

A young woman Jew came out of surgery with a cross-shaped scar, and, at first, it upset her. Then she had a realization. What she said is eye-opening. “In ancient Hebrew, the letter tav was once written as a cross. In the Book of Ezekiel, a mark was placed upon the righteous to protect them from destruction. A mark of survival. It meant: You shall live.”

Tav is the first letter in five key Hebrew words: תּוֹרָה (Torah, teaching/instruction/word), תְּפִלָּה (tefillah, prayer), תְּשׁוּבָה (teshuvah, repentance, return), תִּקְוָה (tikvah, hope), and אֱמֶת (emet, truth).”

Do you get this? The cross was originally the first letter in the Hebrew words for the WORD, PRAYER, REPENTANCE, HOPE, and TRUTH.

Jesus is Hebrew. He speaks Hebrew. He died on the cross because He was Jew, labeled Jew. If you ever are privileged to speak to Him face-to-face, you will be staring at Jews. Salvation is of the Jews (John 4:22). Jesus did not destroy their covenant. He fulfilled it. Matthew 5:17. They are where God said they should be. We are so very wrong in our words. What we think is them working for their salvation is, instead, that they know it is theirs and they honor it. Everything they do is for covenant. We speak derogatorily of it all, from their clothing to their hair, to their eating and form of worship.

Jesus is them. He grew up as them. Heaven is full of Jews.

A MAN who believes the wrong thing will fall prey to the wrong thing that he believes. About anything. To know Truth is to be free (John 8:32). Freedom is ours through the Word. We must put it in our hearts, however, and that means taking time to study and meditate in it. I enjoy study. I do meditation of what I know, hour by hour, whenever I find a second. Meditation in the Word encourages me, especially when I’m discouraged.

It’s easy to give up. I’ve had moments where I want to give into defeat. Meditation in the Word lifts me out of them. It’s not reading, necessarily, but thinking upon. Muttering, which is the actual meaning of the Hebrew word. Sometimes, I’m preaching to myself. Amusing, since I’m not one who talks loudly. But point is, the sermon is what I need to hear. I’m into Truth and hate lies. Guessing is out, too. Just tell me what something means and I’ll listen. Point me at a symbol and wait for me to guess, and you’ll be there until Jesus returns. It’s just not how my mind works. Jesus loves me like I am, quirks at all. I want you to take that to heart for yourself. So much damage is done in our thought life by self-doubt. I have tiny ones but nothing that makes God upset with me. He just isn’t.

And this includes my slip-ups. Sin is bad. Know this first. Then know God sees where we are, what we’re dealing with, and has enough mercy for us. His mercy endures forever, a Truth I learned well from hearing the Jews talk. It is the first words they utter when they hear testimony of miracles, and those are among them in abundance. As many, in as many wonderful ways as in the church. We’ve not paid attention, out of ignorance. Set the ignorance aside and hear me in this. Covenant assures me God answers prayer. In fact, what we call prayer for sickness isn’t what the Jews do at all. The male of the family – a father, brother, or son – approaches the Rabbi for a blessing, and he speaks directly from God. They know what he says is what God will do, and he knows what he said is God speaking. It’s the most beautiful thing that comes out of meditation in the Word. The Torah IS God’s Word. Whether you read it or they do.

They read passages together at the same time on the calendar. We find this odd, but it causes them to read all of the Word they love and causes them to remember it. There’s no set schedule in the church. We’re too independent. And in that, we don’t have the unity that we need. We read the same Scriptures but interpret them in myriads of ways. Mostly, Gentile. We ignore Jesus’ meaning to His people and apply His words to a modern mindset. Meditation in the Word eliminates this if it is in the Spirit.

He has set me in the way of integrity. It is my rule in everything. I will not be misled and misstate His Word. How is that possible to do all the time? By continual worship. I have nothing else in my ears. God has many styles of songs He writes. Know this. He adores our hearts behind it. What the words should say, though, is about Him. Now and again, something sung isn’t Truth. What the singer means behind it is most important. I have found a lot of singers write about spiritual warfare. We are not in a war that Jesus never fought. He laid down His life and allowed death, the spiritual opposite. In doing so, however, He was never spiritually dead. That was the point. Those songs are uplifting at times. That’s what I’m saying here. Knowing the heart behind them only comes as I lean into my Papa, the Spirit. He helps me understand. I cannot begin to say this loud enough: Find your closeness with Him. Spend time in His Presence and refuse to walk out of it. So much of what we struggle with isn’t God’s desire.

Meditation is the key. Repeat those Truths, though you’ve heard them before. And if you have no desire to read His Word, then ask Him for it. I did, years ago, and today, it is salvation.

GOD SAVED eight righteous people from among untold millions. All the world was violent. He brought peace. We see Noah’s flood as God’s retribution. But notice, instead, God’s character. He was salvation and cleansing of sin. He knew the heart of every person and misjudged none of them. Sin did that to the earth, and God had a plan, already in motion, to rescue man from sin.

God’s character is rescue. Safety. Healing. He is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23 BSB). He is mercy which endures forever. We misjudge Him all the time, saying He does what is evil. Though James 1:13 is clear on this, God tempts no one to sin, sin comes from lust, we make God the cause of bad things on the earth. Wars, rumors of wars, all forms of lack and poverty, men’s suffering, and even persecution. We’ve embraced persecution like its God’s will for us. But the verse I read, in Proverbs 3 says, “Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man (Proverbs 3:3-4).”

We believe this, all the while embracing the other. Which is correct? Persecution or favor? Ask yourself, What is the character of God in it? His promise to the disciples was that when they would come under persecution, the Holy Spirit would give them what to say. They should not be afraid (Matthew 10:18-19). God is protection. Spiritually, mentally, and physically. We don’t have to fear anything taking our health, our money, our children, our life. I don’t worry about these things at all. I know God’s got it. But I placed that Truth in my heart. It’s HUGE in me. My family will never fall prey to anything in governments, in violence, in sicknesses, in genetics.

God never asks anyone to risk themselves for family, church, synagogue, or the gospel that His plan isn’t to bring them home well and safe. I’ve heard stories of those who say otherwise, but somewhere along the line, between the person who experienced the trauma to the person listening, ears were closed to God’s Voice. Surrender to God, humility, is a place of safety. (And know I do not speak of soldiers and wartime. God is with those in a position of defense. He never abandons anyone.) I’ve said this on repeat, but so much of what we misperceive of God is our not seeing His point-of-view. We are angry because we can’t see what He sees. We are depressed because we can’t see His view of us. And anytime we see Him as putting us in danger, we need to cry out, “No, He is safety!” You simply cannot convince me He’d do otherwise. He’s proved this in my life over and over again. See that I am here writing this to you.

We must read His Word. Linger in Psalm 91. Read it in many translations and as we do, know it is Jewish covenant that they trust in, promises which we are also rooted in through Christ. The same can be said of Psalm 23:4 and Psalm 119:165. Know as well that God’s protection for them is John 3:16 and John 14:27. God’s nature in their covenant is His nature in ours. He put an end to violence in Noah’s day. He sent Jesus to put an end to violence in ours. His promise is “on earth peace, good will toward men (Luke 2:14).” All other interpretations of Him are WRONG. He is faithful.

GOD SAVED eight righteous people from among untold millions. All the world was violent. He brought peace. We see Noah’s flood as God’s retribution. But notice, instead, God’s character. He was salvation and cleansing of sin. He knew the heart of every person and misjudged none of them. Sin did that to the earth, and God had a plan, already in motion, to rescue man from sin.

God’s character is rescue. Safety. Healing. He is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23 BSB). He is mercy which endures forever. We misjudge Him all the time, saying He does what is evil. Though James 1:13 is clear on this, God tempts no one to sin, sin comes from lust, we make God the cause of bad things on the earth. Wars, rumors of wars, all forms of lack and poverty, men’s suffering, and even persecution. We’ve embraced persecution like its God’s will for us. But the verse I read, in Proverbs 3 says, “Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man (Proverbs 3:3-4).”

We believe this, all the while embracing the other. Which is correct? Persecution or favor? Ask yourself, What is the character of God in it? His promise to the disciples was that when they would come under persecution, the Holy Spirit would give them what to say. They should not be afraid (Matthew 10:18-19). God is protection. Spiritually, mentally, and physically. We don’t have to fear anything taking our health, our money, our children, our life. I don’t worry about these things at all. I know God’s got it. But I placed that Truth in my heart. It’s HUGE in me. My family will never fall prey to anything in governments, in violence, in sicknesses, in genetics.

God never asks anyone to risk themselves for family, church, synagogue, or the gospel that His plan isn’t to bring them home well and safe. GOD’S JUSTICE is not violent nor because He’s consumed with hate. It is never out-of-balance and weighted too much so He can relieve His frustration. Now, what is His justice? What does He do to punish the unrepentant? Much talk is done in the church of hell as punishment. But of our images, even some that people have said to have seen, God’s character, His nature, is frequently left out. He is merciful. But He is just. What He desires of those who refuse to repent is for them to see their actions with regret. What He will not do is reward them nor give them anything promised to His children.

I need you to see hell is God’s and not the devil’s. The devil has been rendered useless (Hebrews 2:14), and being frank, he was the first to sin, but he was never any higher or with more authority and craftiness than any other devil who followed him. Though he is called the prince of this world, he isn’t their leader. That word means “first.” Nothing of devils is in control of damnation, as we’ll call it as well. The pit of John’s Revelation is God’s. He is in control of all things and was never, at any point, not in control. Satan never took control from Him but sinned and fell from heaven like lightning (Luke 10:18). So to speak of hell in terms of torture, such as sin would craft, is all kinds of wrong.

We have several pictures from the Word to establish this. First, that Jesus was never there being tortured to redeem us from sin. His death was our redemption. He chose, as an act of the will, to obey the Father, which is what Adam did not do. Adam chose to disobey and to sin. He knew it was wrong to follow after Eve and obey the words of Satan. He knew they were a lie (1 Timothy 2:14). Jesus obeyed and proved man was God’s and not sin’s (Philippians 2:8). The proof of Jesus’ being with God after death is in His words to the thief. He said to him, “Today, you will be with me in Paradise.” Today, that day (Luke 23:43). We must see, too, He is Christ, the Anointed One, and the Spirit is the anointing. They have never been separated. Never.

Second, we have the story of the rich man and the poor man. Jesus told this story to the Pharisees and several needful things must be seen in it. One, that the rich man called Abraham “father”. The rich man and the poor man were Jews, one in Paradise, one in torments. Two, that it was torment (Luke 16:23,24,28), yet the rich man had no repentance. Twice he tried to send the poor man where he would be equally miserable. He asked Abraham to send him to where he himself was in torment and then, after that, to send him back to earth where he’d suffered horribly. He did not care about the poor man. Lastly, Abraham said to the rich man that Moses and the prophets were enough to avoid being there, in damnation. Do you get that? The rich man said he wanted to prevent his brothers from coming there. Abraham replied, “If they will not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead (Luke 16:31).” The Torah was enough for salvation.

Another proof is found in 1 Peter 3:19, which tells us Jesus “went and preached unto the spirits in prison.” These spirits being the ones who were disobedient in Noah’s day (Verse 20). Jesus preached, proclaimed as a herald. This was not a damaged, tortured Jesus. How very wrong that image is! These angels are mentioned again in 2 Peter 2:4. There, it says, “For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment.” Notice, God cast them down to hell, and there it is darkness. 1 John 1:5 tells us God has no darkness in Him, but He is Light. Psalm 139:12 tells us darkness does not prevent God’s vision. So, it is that those cast from His Presence, those who fell from the Light, sit in darkness where there is none of Him.

It isn’t that He becomes blind. Think of it this way. God dwells on the earth. He is in all places, yet here, there is sin. People disregard Him every minute of the day and do things He calls sinful. But He is not tainted by it. Instead, we are cleansed by Him. Such is His holiness, that it forgives and purifies.

God is also not the spirit of fear. He isn’t terror. He is love, power, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). But those absent of Him through sin don’t have His goodness, and in sin, there is fear. God is reverence. This must be applied to His judgment. Where sin is punished and someone, angel or human, is cast into darkness, there is much reverence of Him and yet, none at all, because those are there for being totally consumed by sin. And this is the bottom line. There are many percentages between 0 and 100, many people who have accepted Jesus and aren’t living FOR Him. It takes 100% to be judged. And in judgment, all is known. No one has to wonder why they are judged. This is how God has it to be.

We must set aside our lack of understanding of the appearance of hell and our wrong information. And seek, instead, His Presence. We must learn from the Holy Spirit and always, in humility, assume we need to know our loving Father more. I spend all my time with Him. This came out of a difficult place. And one thing I’m sure of is, what many have seen of hell that they use to preach salvation, including the words of Jude, are wrong.

That isn’t the kind of God He is.

THE GIFTS (MANIFESTATIONS) are “as the Spirit wills (1 Corinthians 12:11),” but HOW is His will? Patient and kind, meek and lowly, love. It isn’t that God is being random nor that He is picking and choosing some over others. It isn’t even about how much we trust Him or know Him. But when we know Him, we know all He does is for our blessing, to give us peace. Rest.

The gifts (manifestations) are only separately defined so that we don’t invent new ones. It isn’t necessary to delineate them as we see them spoken. Many times, what we see of them is a mixture anyway. God never wants man to add to His Word. This is spoken in the Torah and in John’s Revelation. John’s Revelation, in itself, exists so men will not write their own ending. God has stated it will come when the gospel has spread around the earth (Matthew 24:14) and there will be no more sorrow or death (Revelation 21:4). So all instruction given by the Spirit in regard to how He works and in what manner is for us to know it and not make it up on our own.

It cannot be fully understood separate from God’s character. He is goodness and mercy following us all our lives (Psalm23:6). Jesus Moshiach went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed of the devil (Acts 10:38). That is God’s heart. He destroyed the devil (Satan isn’t a thing anymore). Hebrews 2:14. He destroyed the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8. He is continually and constantly on our side, FOR US (Romans 8:31). He will never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). These Truths must be the foundation of all teaching on the gifts (manifestations). They will never be seen (manifested) outside of the love of God. Also of any teaching on faith. Faith is trust in God’s nature. I love Him and know how much He loves me, so my healing is a done deal, and His timing of it perfect. I refuse doubt.

I refuse images of Him as overbearing. He isn’t overbearing AT ALL. Or angry. He is generous, abundance greater that we could ever imagine (Ephesians 3:20), and peace beyond our understanding (Philippians 4:7). Our doubt comes from having the wrong point-of-view. I continually lay down my will at His feet and any emotions that are clouding my sight. He knows I have them, that I’m angry or frustrated or sad, and it isn’t a sin to feel that way, only to linger there and act on it. “Linger” isn’t a length of time either but, instead, our motive at that moment. And even then, God is great forgiveness none of us deserve.

He is constantly working for our benefit. This is why He described the gifts (manifestations) to Paul. So that we’d know He is always healing, always perfecting, always turning our situations around. It was not to cause pride in those He works through nor to elevate them above our trust in Him, but so that we’d know He loves us and has our needs in His hand.

WE ARE all Rahab. We owe our life to the Jews. When the walls of Jericho fell, hers was the only house standing and those people in it, saved because of the mercy of the God of the Jews. All of this Gospel from Genesis to John’s Revelation is Jewish. It’s promises made to Israel. It’s Savior, Jesus Christ, God of them. When Pentecost came and tongues of fire sat upon each of them, they were 120 Jews in the capital city of the Jews, celebrating a Jewish holiday. Then, filled with the Spirit, Peter preached a sermon to those gathered in the streets and 3,000 Jews were saved.

Not until Peter had a dream of a sheet let down from heaven did the Gospel include us.

We are Rahab, a harlot, worshiping men and ideals and governments, as lost as a goose in a snowstorm, except for a story she’d heard, some 40 years old, that turned out to be true. The rumor of it terrified the people of Jericho. Rahab protected the Jews anyway, from those who sought their life. And they made her a promise to save all her household. Though she was what she was, born where she was, and raised as she was.

She didn’t deserve it, but God gave it. Because of the Jews.

We need to adopt her perspective and stay there. We need to listen to the Jews and stop trying to make them give it all up. “If they’d just get saved, they’d stop all that nonsense.”

It isn’t nonsense. It’s covenant, and I pray they never stop. Nobody, NOBODY, worships like the Jews. Nobody studies God’s Word like them. Nobody obeys like they do. Nobody prays as long or as much. They are continual at it. Nobody teaches their children Truth as faithfully. The Torah is Truth given to Israel, and from it, they see not only their history, but who God is to them today. What He was trying to accomplish amongst them when He took them out of Egypt and Babylon.

They speak Jesus all the time. All the time. Verses they’ve never read and won’t read because the Torah says never to take away or add to its words. Sound familiar?

It is their covenant of salvation. That’s what we miss. We don’t see that Jesus quoted it, explaining its promises. We miss He came to fulfill it, Matthew 5:17, and not to destroy it, said in the same verse. We miss that all His promises to us are duplicates of what He’s given them. We can’t see the size of God’s mercy extended to us, forgiveness we don’t deserve, for the beam in our eye (Matthew 7:5).

Jesus died on the cross for WHOSOEVER would believe – Jew or Gentile. NOT to eliminate them and insert us. NOR to get rid of His ancestry. He WASN’T altering how they believe but saw where history would take them, from the fall of the temple to the Holocaust of World War II. And He’s loved them through all of it as they became the people they are today.

Redeemed by their God and Savior who we’ve been allowed to embrace.

All of this Gospel from Genesis to John’s Revelation is Jewish. It’s promises made to Israel. It’s Savior, Jesus Christ, God of them. When Pentecost came and tongues of fire sat upon each of them, they were 120 Jews in the capital city of the Jews, celebrating a Jewish holiday. Then, filled with the Spirit, Peter preached a sermon to those gathered in the streets and 3,000 Jews were saved.

Not until Peter had a dream of a sheet let down from heaven did the Gospel include us.

We are Rahab, a harlot, worshiping men and ideals and governments, as lost as a goose in a snowstorm, except for a story she’d heard, some 40 years old, that turned out to be true. The rumor of it terrified the people of Jericho. Rahab protected the Jews anyway, from those who sought their life. And they made her a promise to save all her household. Though she was what she was, born where she was, and raised as she was.

She didn’t deserve it, but God gave it. Because of the Jews.

We need to adopt her perspective and stay there. We need to listen to the Jews and stop trying to make them give it all up. “If they’d just get saved, they’d stop all that nonsense.”

It isn’t nonsense. It’s covenant, and I pray they never stop. Nobody, NOBODY, worships like the Jews. Nobody studies God’s Word like them. Nobody obeys like they do. Nobody prays as long or as much. They are continual at it. Nobody teaches their children Truth as faithfully. The Torah is Truth given to Israel, and from it, they see not only their history, but who God is to them today. What He was trying to accomplish amongst them when He took them out of Egypt and Babylon.

They speak Jesus all the time. All the time. Verses they’ve never read and won’t read because the Torah says never to take away or add to its words. Sound familiar?

It is their covenant of salvation. That’s what we miss. We don’t see that Jesus quoted it, explaining its promises. We miss He came to fulfill it, Matthew 5:17, and not to destroy it, said in the same verse. We miss that all His promises to us are duplicates of what He’s given them. We can’t see the size of God’s mercy extended to us, forgiveness we don’t deserve, for the beam in our eye (Matthew 7:5).

Jesus died on the cross for WHOSOEVER would believe – Jew or Gentile. NOT to eliminate them and insert us. NOR to get rid of His ancestry. He WASN’T altering how they believe but saw where history would take them, from the fall of the temple to the Holocaust of World War II. And He’s loved them through all of it as they became the people they are today.

Redeemed by their God and Savior who we’ve been allowed to embrace.

A man of African-American descent, raised in any nation, will, regardless of what he eats and what he studies, still, at the end of his life, look African-American. A child taught French, raised to speak French, who uses French his entire life, will speak French at his last breath. Yet somehow, Jesus of Nazareth, born to Joseph and Mary in a town called Bethlehem (because his dad had to go there to prove he was Jewish (Luke 2:4-5), dedicated to God in the temple on Day 8 (something the Jews are still doing with their children), and crucified for being a Jew, labeled “King of the Jews” on a sign hung over His head, somehow Jesus, after His death and Resurrection, stopped being Jewish. He’s English now. Or American. Or from Brazil.

Did you know that all … a-l-l, all … of the Jews in One For Israel’s testimony videos were surprised to learn Jesus was Jewish? Most thought He was Catholic, having been told that by their parents. (I highly recommend that organization btw.) Did you know that Catholicism and Protestantism were non-existent when Jesus lived? The Romans, in His day, worshiped a multitude of false Gods. And the word “Christian” was derogatory like “Yankee Doodle Dandy”, which was written as an insult. (But we, being Americans, thought it funny and adopted it.) The problem is, most people don’t know that, and many don’t think about Jesus’ ancestry past a serious misunderstanding of the apostle Paul’s words. Just today I read a commentary (I won’t say which one), which said God created the church to do away with Hebrew.

Climb aboard this plane with me (virtual plane) and let’s fly to Israel and plunge our Gentile-self deep into the heart of Jesus’ ancestry. First, remembering Matthew 1 tells us He was descended from the Jews, giving them all by name, let’s see what language they are speaking. (Adjusts the mic.) (Ringing noise. Sorry, about that.) Ooooo, that sounds like Hebrew. And, oh look! A school for children who are learning to read and write Hebrew. Isn’t that fascinating?

There are synagogues everywhere over here. A beautiful thing.

Returning to reality, that being this thought, the commentary is not the only one to make this ignorant assumption. Jesus is Jew. He looks and talks and acts like His people, the Jews. He is forever Jewish and HASN’T REPLACED HIS PEOPLE WITH THE GENTILE CHURCH. That has been said, and it is hugely wrong. We, Gentiles, are blessed to be grafted in (Romans 11:24), and I personally, more and more, adore the Jews for being exactly how they are.

But this is bigger even than that. The Gospel is Jewish. The stories are all meant to be seen from their perspective, and they are not taught that way. Instead, we make them western theology, modern thought, and have removed the prophetic words and all references as being spoken to the Jews. Mark 11:24 is an example. It is talking about faith, but it’s main intent when spoken was the future of Israel. The mountain was the Mount of Olives they stood on, where Jerusalem remains, and what the Romans would do to destroy it. God promised restoration, and we see it today.

Another example is the woman with the issue of blood (Matthew 9:20), reaching out for the hem of Jesus’ garment. This is such a Jewish behavior with their Rebbes, still today. From the throng, which still happens in the streets and synagogues, to the desire to touch Him, and the thing we miss – the desire is because of what they knew in the Torah about healing. Healing and miracles are all in the Jews’ covenant, and they believe it. They see it, and when testimony is given, they raise their voices in praise. Baruch Hashem.

Jesus is Jew. The God of Israel. The King of Israel. And a son of Israel. He wrote their Law. He wrote their covenant, and He fulfilled it. JESUS FULFILLED IT. Matthew 5:17. HE IS THEIR LAMB SLAIN FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD. John 1:29. Revelation 13:8. He is their “God of salvation”, a phrase said 119 times in their covenant. He is their “Redeemer”. This can be found 18 times and does not include all the other forms of the word. Jesus is also called “King”. God is KING. In Psalm 24, He is “King of Glory”. Jesus is “Prince of Peace” and “Everlasting Father” (Isaiah 9:6). He is the Lord our Shepherd. King David, a Jew, spoke this psalm, and they know it is theirs.

We cannot remove the Gospel from the Jews’ covenant. We cannot remove covenant from them. Jesus said you cannot put new wine in old bottles, lest you break the bottles. In this, see His desire. For He said, “But they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved (Matthew 9:17).” Both the old bottles and the new wine. FOR THEY ARE ETERNAL.

And He will forever, for all eternity, be Jew.

DEVILS ARE all the same. There isn’t one who specializes in fear and another who makes a man blind and mute and yet another that causes spasms. They do what’s convenient. What they think works. If it’s to pump up your ego, then they’ll do that. If it’s to depress you and talk suicide, then that’s what they’ll do. They are consumed with sin and violence and have not one good thought in their head, so to speak. [They don’t have a body form.]

Now, having said all that, I must eliminate them entirely because Jesus destroyed (dissolved) all the works of the devil, 1 John 3:8, and something that is dissolved cannot do anything. It’s only hold over someone would be from their thought life. What we think about is what causes our actions.

This takes me to Ephesians 6:12 which IS NOT a verse about the level of devils. (A) They have no wisdom. (B) I just told you their wiles (Ephesians 6:11). (C) The devil as a roaring lion is a lot of noise, and he’s been destroyed (rendered useless). Hebrews 2:14. Ephesians 6:12 is about idolatry. It is progressive levels of idol worship. Our fight is not against people, but PRINCIPALITIES. This word means “the first thing in a series, the beginning.” Against POWERS. This word means “the power of choice” and implies you feel you have the right to do it. Against RULERS OF THE DARKNESS OF THIS WORLD or “lord of the world”, and against SPIRITUAL WICKEDNESS IN HIGH PLACES. “High places” is the key word here. The phrase “high places” is found 97 times in 89 verses of the Jews’ covenant, most all of them in reference to the worship of false gods. Solomon, for instance, did not tear down the high places (1 Kings 3:3)

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Ephesians 6:12)

What we worship becomes all we are. It is why we act, what we desire. An example Minister Happy Caldwell gave of the progression in this verse is abortion. It begins as a thought, then it becomes a choice. Once chosen, it is justified in a person’s mind and worshipped as viable. It is defended. With anger, with violence, with hatred. Sin, lust of the flesh as James 1:14 titles it, works the same pattern in people as it does in unclean spirits (devils). A man is tempted, enticed, then when lust has conceived action, it causes sin, and sin causes death. This is simple another way of saying Ephesians 6:12.

“But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.” (James 1:14-15)

We can read it again in Romans 1. Romans 1:21 in the Remedy Translation says, though people knew God’s loving character, they did not honor Him by trusting His methods, but “their consciences seared, their thoughts became illogical and irrational, and their minds were darkened with lies and falsehoods.” Verse 22 continues, “They deceived themselves and claimed to be wise but were actually fools who lost the ability to discern the right from the wrong, the healthy from the unhealthy, the true from the false.” I love the Remedy because in several places, it says men believed Satan’s lies about God. Now, Satan is not talking to anyone, but he is the father of lies (John 8:44), and sin sounds the same in its assertions, that it’s okay to do the sin, no matter what sin it is.

We have to stop blaming sinful behavior on devils’ influence. With a person like the woman who followed the apostle Paul in Acts 16:16, calling out after him, Acts calls it a “spirit of divination”, there was only a devil reciting random deceptions. He, the unclean spirit, remembered things, noticed things, and so said whatever worked. But THERE WAS NO TRUTH IN ANY OF IT. Human memory is short. We forget things and so are easily deceived. Things not placed in the heart, that is. The Word of God must be part of us, and we must walk continually in the Spirit, hearing His Voice. So that we know what Jesus’ death and Resurrection accomplished and we apply the fullness of it to all of our thoughts and words.

We cannot speak of devils causing our thoughts in one sentence and Jesus triumphing over them in the next. We cannot say Satan is rendered useless but in our next words imply he is omnipresent around the world. He isn’t. And he doesn’t have a kingdom or a throne. He was never any more powerful than any other fallen devil. He was simply the first to sin and so to blame for all of it.

GOD’S HOPE does not disappoint. He doesn’t build us up to let us down. When we hope in Him, we can rely on Him to do what He said. He said, “And with His stripes we are healed,” so with His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). He said when we bring our needs to Him in prayer, He will hear and answer, so we can rest in Him, though it is beyond our understanding, and know He heard and has answered (Philippians 4:6-7).

Numerous times, He’s told me He’s answered and it is done. But at that moment, I couldn’t see it. I word it this way on purpose. It WAS done. My vision of it was short. I needed His perspective. Anytime, we’ve prayed and fall into doubt of it, our frustration taking over for a while, it’s a perspective problem. And being honest, my change in perspective from a small, human one to God’s higher one often came under pressure from an “I don’t care about this problem” attitude. Even death didn’t matter anymore. And yes, I said that on purpose.

Death has no sting (1 Corinthians 15;55). It truly doesn’t. But giving into it, short of my time on this earth is a big NO. I gave my final hour to Jesus long ago, and I have refused to pick it back up. Anytime my head has tried to go there, I’ve reminded myself and changed my thoughts. “If this looks so very bad right now, then God is about to do something FOR ME to heal me of it.” And He always has. I’m alive today because of His mercy and faithfulness.

There is a verse in James 1 that speaks of the “trial” of faith in God. The chapter then goes on to say that God never “tempts” us. These are two separate things. The word “trying” in James 1:3 means with “trustworthiness.” The word “tempted” in Verse 13 means with sin. God made us, so we can endure tough times. That day that is super rotten, your everything hurts and you’re tired, He’s WITH you and IN you as strength, peace, joy, and hope. He is trustworthy, and we are showing our trustworthiness, that He is enough for us. What He isn’t doing is causing us to sin. That He can’t do. CAN’T not that He simply WON’T. He is holy. There’s no sin in Him.

“Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.” (James 1:3)

“Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:” (James 1:13)

The chapter goes on to explain what does tempt us, and to put it short, we are tempted to do the wrong thing, to give in and give up, to act out, when we think about the problem too much. A beautiful version of the old hymn “Be Thou My Vision” says, “Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart / Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art / Thou my best thought, by day or by night / Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.” He must be our eyesight, our vision, our best thought, and everything else be as nothing. And it takes our effort to stay there.

We have to stop condemning ourselves for weakness, for that moment we waver, but at the same time, pull ourselves up and keep going. I said this to you a few days ago: God is okay with me being me. He likes who I am and works with me how I am. I don’t have to ever be out front and loud. I can work how I’ve learned to work. But He knows that I know when it’s one of those moments He’s trying to teach me something, to stretch me, that I will humble myself … eventually … and obey. I heard my mom teach it this way: We must hold onto the eternal and not get stuck on what’s temporary. God’s life, His love, His peace and joy, are eternal. This moment of pain is temporary.

God is bigger. God is hope, and His hope is enough for all of it.

GOD’S HOPE does not disappoint. He doesn’t build us up to let us down. When we hope in Him, we can rely on Him to do what He said. He said, “And with His stripes we are healed,” so with His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). He said when we bring our needs to Him in prayer, He will hear and answer, so we can rest in Him, though it is beyond our understanding, and know He heard and has answered (Philippians 4:6-7).

Numerous times, He’s told me He’s answered and it is done. But at that moment, I couldn’t see it. I word it this way on purpose. It WAS done. My vision of it was short. I needed His perspective. Anytime, we’ve prayed and fall into doubt of it, our frustration taking over for a while, it’s a perspective problem. And being honest, my change in perspective from a small, human one to God’s higher one often came under pressure from an “I don’t care about this problem” attitude. Even death didn’t matter anymore. And yes, I said that on purpose.

Death has no sting (1 Corinthians 15;55). It truly doesn’t. But giving into it, short of my time on this earth is a big NO. I gave my final hour to Jesus long ago, and I have refused to pick it back up. Anytime my head has tried to go there, I’ve reminded myself and changed my thoughts. “If this looks so very bad right now, then God is about to do something FOR ME to heal me of it.” And He always has. I’m alive today because of His mercy and faithfulness.

There is a verse in James 1 that speaks of the “trial” of faith in God. The chapter then goes on to say that God never “tempts” us. These are two separate things. The word “trying” in James 1:3 means with “trustworthiness.” The word “tempted” in Verse 13 means with sin. God made us, so we can endure tough times. That day that is super rotten, your everything hurts and you’re tired, He’s WITH you and IN you as strength, peace, joy, and hope. He is trustworthy, and we are showing our trustworthiness, that He is enough for us. What He isn’t doing is causing us to sin. That He can’t do. CAN’T not that He simply WON’T. He is holy. There’s no sin in Him.

“Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.” (James 1:3)

“Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:” (James 1:13)

The chapter goes on to explain what does tempt us, and to put it short, we are tempted to do the wrong thing, to give in and give up, to act out, when we think about the problem too much. A beautiful version of the old hymn “Be Thou My Vision” says, “Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart / Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art / Thou my best thought, by day or by night / Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.” He must be our eyesight, our vision, our best thought, and everything else be as nothing. And it takes our effort to stay there.

We have to stop condemning ourselves for weakness, for that moment we waver, but at the same time, pull ourselves up and keep going. I said this to you a few days ago: God is okay with me being me. He likes who I am and works with me how I am. I don’t have to ever be out front and loud. I can work how I’ve learned to work. But He knows that I know when it’s one of those moments He’s trying to teach me something, to stretch me, that I will humble myself … eventually … and obey. I heard my mom teach it this way: We must hold onto the eternal and not get stuck on what’s temporary. God’s life, His love, His peace and joy, are eternal. This moment of pain is temporary.

God is bigger. God is hope, and His hope is enough for all of it.

THIS BOOK is a book of promises to Israel. We, the Gentile church, have taken it and made them exempt from it. We justify it saying, through their blindness. They just don't see Jesus. But the blindness is ours. Because this book is a book of promises to Israel, and Jesus is King of them; and we are grafted in.

“For if you were cut out of a field olive-tree, and against the natural use were united to a good olive-tree, how much more will these, the natural branches, be united again with the olive-tree which was theirs?” (Romans 11:24 BBE)

We are the lost sheep, the prodigal son that the Shepherd, the Father longed for. That is Jesus' implication in both stories. It isn't that some of us Gentiles are the son who stayed and some of us, the prodigal. We are not the 99 and that addict, that criminal, is who is lost. That's how we, Gentiles, have seen it. Instead, Jesus was telling the Jews they were in the Father's house, they have access to all He is, but the prodigal, the Gentiles, who had gone to a far country, were coming home. He would sacrifice the fitted calf to celebrate. That calf pictured His soon death.

Jesus is the Shepherd who carried the lost sheep on His shoulders while the 99, Israel, remained in the pasture.

"Why," we have asked, "is He not worried about the 99?" And we've preached the answer, as them being bored with Him. Or unaccepting. No, the truth is the opposite: They know Him.

"Oh, no," we argue, "Paul said all that about them in his letters." That they are blind, relying on circumcision and rules of Law. He did say that, and it was true of some then, in that day. It is true of some today. But let's balance it. There are Christian churches who forbid women to speak because of a misunderstanding of what Paul said, and Christian churches who say there are no more apostles and prophets, and Jesus no longer heals the sick. They are wrong, too. But hear what a well-spoken rebbe said, "Too much religion, not enough God."

This is a relationship, walking every day with Hashem.

So returning to the parables, which is it? If Israel is the 99, the son who is still home, and God has embraced the lost Gentiles, then are we "in" but they are out? Paul himself says no. “Do not be uplifted in pride over the branches (Romans 11:18).” And “How much more will these, the natural branches, be united again with the olive-tree which was theirs (Romans 11:24)?” And they have been.

"We were chosen to be beacons of moral light for the world," says Rebbe YY Jacobson.

"We are an eternal people," speaks a Holocaust survivor.

"He didn’t want us to be slaves and Him as Master. He is King but didn’t want us as subjects. He wanted to be Father, to be with us," instructs a woman Jew.

And then there's Rom Braslovski, a young man held hostage by Hamas, a Hebrew word meaning "violence". He was told they would feed him and stop torturing him if he'd convert to Islam. He replied, " I was born Jewish and I will die Jewish. I believe in all my heart in Moshe Rabeinu. And I don’t know who is Muhammad. I don’t know what you’re talking about. I don’t know what is the Koran. I’m not converting. And I will die as a Jew … And if I will get out, if you will let me out from here, also my children, that I will bring to the world, they also will live and die as Jews.”

So did Jesus. And we owe Him our salvation. That He came for us although we condemned His people. They are His, and we are His because of them. We need to act like it.

ONE THING I’ve learned in the last 5 years: God is okay with me. Every time I think I’ve goofed up and He’s not talking now, He speaks and sounds like usual. I said this before, but we take these rabbit trails away from Him, led astray by our emotions and confused thoughts, and we find ourselves staring at a landscape we don’t recognize. Coming-to is the first step in the right direction. We have to see we’ve gotten off track. But when we retrace our path to Him, He looks the same, He sounds the same, He loves us just as much as ever. So I’ve stopped condemning myself. None of what happened to me is my fault. None of it. And where I missed the next step and went left, He’s covered all my wrong tracks. They’re just gone.

It is such a relief to live every moment of every day free of worry about errors. Free of worry about pleasing God. God isn’t picky. We make Him that way. But what God wants is our entire heart. In Romans 14, the apostle Paul talks about people who don’t eat like you, don’t worship like you, and I’ll add don’t dress like you. We look at them and say, “They should be free of that.” But what God sees isn’t them in bondage to a way of life but that they’ve dedicated their life to doing what they believe pleases Him. He isn’t throwing stones. We do that, trying to make everyone do as we’ve decided they should.

The Father made Jesus Judge (John 5:22), and His judgment was to die for us and give everyone complete salvation. He became Savior in order to forgive. And His forgiveness is with complete knowledge of everything about us. For all of it, He is mercy. And the healing of our soul is full restoration (Psalm 23:3), regardless of how mixed up we are. No matter how we’ve wandered, when we see Him again, He speaks the same, and we can let go of any condemnation because it always, always comes in from self-doubt. He says we are His and isn’t ever going to change His mind about that.

I’ve changed mine about many things in these last few years. Who He really is, being the biggest one of them. He is near to me, for one important thing. He is with me for every step of every day and helps me with even the simplest parts of life. He laughs at mistakes, for another. We need to laugh more at ourselves and let things go. What we’ve said He’s all serious about, He isn’t. Jesus lives as us. He grew up, a kid with brothers and sisters. He had aunts and uncles and cousins and annoying neighbors. He ate someone’s bad-tasting food. Sat next to that off-beat tambourine player. And has heard a few not-so-funny jokes. He died for people, knowing how they are. Our missteps aren’t written in His book but buried instead beneath His sacrifice and love so great, it would endure a humiliating death to show it.

Being patient with us is the point. Being kind is as well. Kindness is His nature. And the reason why I’m not afraid to retrace my steps back to where I last talked to Him. The reason why I say to you all the time, Church Jesus isn’t Him at all. Because when my life was very dark and God spoke, everything He said was gentle and full of hope. And nothing I faced was mine to fix but all of it was His.

SATAN AND DEVILS have no form. They don’t have a body, as we'd say. Originally created by God to do angelic work, they lost all they were when they sinned. We see this said in the Word about Satan. He said, "I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God ... I will be like the most High (Isaiah 14:13-14)." Then it says, "Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit (Verse 15)." This was his sin and judgment.

Next thing we know are Jesus' words, "I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven (Luke 10:18)." Notice, Satan fell FROM HEAVEN. This leaves no doubt who he was nor what God did. God knows all things and so was never in danger of losing His throne. The future is His.

We find Satan after this in the garden inhabiting a serpent. Angels don't inhabit things, so this is significant. Satan needed a physical body in order to communicate with Eve. But again, we must hear his question to her because it shows us that he had heard what God said.

In Genesis 2:17, God speaks to Adam. "But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die." Eve is formed after this. Then in Genesis 3:1, the serpent, who is Satan, says, "Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?" He asked what he knew God had said. Eve only saw him because he was in the serpent.

This is not about what happened in Genesis, although there is much to be learned there, much many misstate. I want you to realize the devil, Satan, and devils, unclean spirits, do not look like anything. We like to have an image to picture, but to give them substance brings error.

We must know, too, they don't remember heaven or being angels. We see Satan in Job 1 called to stand before God. Notice, he had to enter, Verse 6, and he exited, Verse 12, leaving God's Presence. God asked where he'd been, not because He needed to know. God knew. He asked to pin him down, so to speak. None of their conversation was God making a deal with Satan. God’s perspective must be ours. That Satan was up to no good and God was merciful to Job. But Satan didn't stay in heaven. And in the end, God blessed Job.

Jesus said of Satan, "He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it (John 8:44)." There is NO TRUTH in the devil. No wisdom, no understanding. No peace. That is Jesus' words. When he (and devils) fell, they fell into darkness and out of Light. Psalm 139 tells us God sees well even in the dark. (Verse 12) But Satan did not create the dark. Nor a throne, nor a kingdom, nor an army of devil warriors. He had nothing to work with.

Revelation 12:10 calls him the accuser who speaks day and night. In other words, he's all talk. His "wiles" are lies. Deceit. Or I should say correctly — WERE. Because Hebrews 2:14 tells us Jesus became human that "he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil." Satan has been "rendered useless" and his works dissolved (1 John 3:8). He is no longer "the enemy."

There's nothing to see. Nothing to fight.

Because Hebrews 2:14 tells us Jesus became human that "he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil." Satan has been "rendered useless" and his works dissolved (1 John 3:8). He is no longer "the enemy."

PRAYER IS MADE for those things which the Spirit of God would have us pray for. And we pray not from our mind, from our personal thoughts, but from the point-of-view of the Word of God. We pray His heart. For He is who is praying through us. We lay down our will, our choices, and take up His. His presence blesses it and causes it to bear fruit. Prayer was made in the Temple in Jesus’ day without the presence of God there to bless it. Not that God did not hear because He hears all things, but the Spirit was working through John the Baptizer and Jesus of Nazareth, the Messiah, outside of the temple, and those given work in the temple did not recognize it. One man entered in a show, making vocal his gifts and offerings, yet it was a widow giving all she owned who drew God’s eyes.

There is no place for pride in prayer. Not just in “bless me” and “bless us” but sometimes, often, in “bless them.” Humbleness is the only attitude of prayer. We pray with thankfulness (Philippians 4:6) and in confidence that God is faithful to answer. Whether our words are in English (or one’s native language) or in the Spirit’s language (tongues), the words come from Him and will thus be in the will of God (Romans 8:27). A selfish prayer is no prayer at all, whether it is personal, “us four and no more,” or corporate, “bless us” without any care for “them.” There is one body of Christ, one church, not many different ones doing as they see fit.

The Spirit delights in our sincere prayers, but many times we pray from our heads and not our hearts. We miss His heart. Not that it was wrong to pray for certain things, but what did He need of us? There are two sides to every coin. We must make sure we see both. Do we pray to say what we want in the pulpit and the hearers won’t be offended by it? Or do we pray that our words will be seasoned with salt and show the love of Christ? We choose to not give offense. We pray for the right words and for God’s presence to be seen. Do we pray for a “move of the Spirit” or do we, instead, seek Him? We seek Him and not flashy experiences. It is those with sincere hearts that He honors and reveals Himself to.

Our desire must be for Him and not for what He can do. We cannot desire the trophy without having entered the race. We cannot run the race without training for it. To ask for things – money, job positions, favor, even healing – with no desire for the Provider, for the Healer, is to write of creation and never acknowledge the Creator. He isn’t a bank vault. He is our Father. It isn’t a church service. It is the unity of believers, seeking the face of God because of our love for Him. It is sharing His love with those in attendance and through word and song, showing how great and beautiful He is. We stand in the pulpit, knowing others do the same, and we choose to pray for them as much as we pray for ourselves. In preference to ourselves.

The apostle Paul said for those who were weak, he would be weak (1 Corinthians 9:20-22), and that believers should never do what would cause another man to fall into sin. If food was openly spoken of as being offered to idols, then they should not eat of it lest the other man misunderstand their actions. Jesus spoke of people’s image of Himself saying, “And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me (Matthew 11:6).” Not to lay the guilt of being offended onto those hearing Him, but because He was meek and lowly and did not want to willfully cause offense. He knew some would be offended, He knew Judas would betray Him, He didn’t rejoice in it.

“It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.” (Romans 14:21)

“We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.” (Romans 15:1)

All things must be done in the Spirit, through the Spirit. Only then can we be sure that we are walking rightly in all things. To pray in the Spirit’s language is a must. There are things only He can pray through us. To pray in our native tongue is a must. We must choose our words and show we have heard Him, and we submit to Him. We must also be specific to the needs of groups and individuals. “Father, I want to lift up Suzanne to you. I know she’s been struggling with her finances.” This is just an example. “Father, I want to pray for Pastor Smith and his congregation at the Lord’s Church.” Another example. Call government officials by name, whether local, state, or national, and pray without doubt, pray in belief in God who is faithful. Pray from a position of hope, seeing the prayer answered, and not from fear. Where you have fear, give it to God, and pray the Word of God. Pray from a place of peace. Personal, we stand in the peace of God and to others. We seek peace for them.

THE HUMAN BODY is an intricate masterpiece. Crafted by the hand of God, no effort of man can duplicate its life processes. We can’t formulate DNA, can’t create blood, nor bone marrow. Though we can replace organs with those of other people, who willingly give them, we can’t make organs, can only repair them to a point, and can’t force them to work properly. Medical knowledge is limited in what it can do to heal.

There is no other way to create a baby than a father’s genetic material and a mother’s egg. We can seek medically to have them join and a fetus, a baby, to come into being. Gut it only happens in the way God set it in motion. No one can carry a baby to term but the woman’s body. There is no substitute for her. And no way to choose that child’s appearance or knowledge. Those are up to God.

The human body is unfathomable in its depth. Of the brain, we have limited understanding and only a few ways to cause it to heal. But the healing itself, what causes it to heal, and its connection with the mind, is beyond man. We don’t yet know how to heal mental illness or deficiencies. God can. God will and delights to do so. Men have only guesses and equations without walls.

Jesus is the Word, the sword of the Spirit, which contains all knowledge. Colossians 1 says, “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist (Verses 16-17).” As intricate as the human body is, as little as man truly knows about it, so is this book we hold and cherish. And it is Jesus. He is on every page, not just prophesied or lived or resurrected, but as the revelation contained in it. He is its life, its depth, and though we may read it 100 times, 1,000 times, or 1 million, there is still more to be found there.

A piece of 3D art was made of individual matching items, which looked at closely, were just that, something simple and known. But from a distance, filling the room, all of them hung in their particular place, formed one person’s vision of Jesus. From Genesis to Revelation, each word, each sentence, each individual paragraph, and all the chapters and verses, in the order they were written and displayed, are a continual, intricate picture of Jesus. Separately, they are DNA, molecules, skin cells, and organs, which only God could form. We, in the church, have tried to assemble Jesus from our chosen pieces, leaving out the Jewish ones, and the covenant ones, and other bits and pieces that we’ve misunderstood and misapplied. Instead of a whole man, formed Adam from the soil, instead of an infant who grew in the womb of Mary, simply because God can, we have hands without feet, and a heart minus certain veins. Instead of seeking Moshiach, God in human flesh, we hold pages which looked at from our point-of-view are just paper.

Matthew 7 tells a story within the stories. I see these patterns in the gospels a lot, and it is God’s doing. But in Matthew 7, there is a list of objects which show a picture of the plan of God. It begins with THE BEAM. THE DOOR follows. THE FATHER is mentioned next, after Him, A GATE, A TREE, A HOUSE, and A ROCK. Matthew, chapter 8, gives a different picture from the stories in it. What we see there is chaos and Jesus making order of it. There are devils, beings He created, now fallen and causing torment, the human body He created, now riddled with sickness and disease. We find the atmosphere of a storm and two men, possessed of devils, exceeding fierce, who prevent people from passing there. There is a herd of swine, running violently down a steep place into the sea. And Jesus’ words, midway, that describe them: “Let the dead bury their dead.” These chapters are two examples. There are an infinite number of others.

Because Jesus is the Word. All of it. He is an infinite supply of revelation of Truth that we can never exhaust nor fully comprehend. But what a blessing that God in heaven, our loving Abba, gave it all to us. Gave all of Him to us. And how foolish to pick-and-choose what we like and dislike of it. The Jews know covenant. We don’t. We need their trust in God. We know redemption more completely but are wrong in how we share it with them. I’ve heard them quote the letters of Paul, though they’ve never read them. How is that possible? It’s possible because Jesus is Exodus 7, Psalm 23, and Romans 8. He is Leviticus and the gospel of John. He is Isaiah and Daniel, and John’s Revelation. Within each book is a fountain of Truth about Him that forms His body, that He created. And it’s only complete when we see the whole. And we only see the whole in the Spirit, who is Christ. He teaches us all things, bringing to our remembrance everything Jesus. Elohim. Adonai. Jehovah. Hashem. Prince of Peace. Good Shepherd. Lamb of God. King of Israel. King of Kings.

“Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:” (1 Peter 2:23)

WHY DON’T we live by this? When they accused Him of sin, He said nothing. When they shouted “crucify”, asking for His death, He said nothing. When they stripped Him bare, dressed Him like a King, and mocked Him, He said nothing. Hanging on the cross, He quoted a psalm, but not for the reason most assume. He said, “I thirst,” and received vinegar and not water. He promised the thief Paradise. He placed Himself in the Father’s hands, in the moment of death. And cried out “It is finished.” Nowhere did He revile, that word means “to heap abuse on”. The previous verse, 1 Peter 2:22 says, “Neither was guile found in his mouth.” Guile is deceit. Jesus, the Messiah, Moshiach, the Christ, heard all that was said, every spiteful word. He felt the sting of hate and made no defense.

We don’t deserve Him.

We make lists. Lists of churches we think aren’t godly, lists of entertainers we think are deceitful. We call names in the pulpit of those we think have preached error. We split into denominations, new congregations, to divide ourselves from who we disagree with. We condemn the Jews. God needs no defense. When He had the right to make one, He didn’t. And He died. If we held this in our view at all times, we’d shut up about others. If we walked in surrender, making Him completely our LORD, we would see His point-of-view, we’d know how far short we still stand in knowledge and understanding. He’s the Word, the Source of all knowledge. He isn’t PREDICTING the end of earth and our final full redemption. He KNOWS it. It’s all His plan. And we are so very ignorant in our acceptance In it. He has accepted us.

We don’t accept us. We crucify. Jesus died for the Jews. He became their salvation. All who believe in Him from reading the Gospel in the Torah are saved. Jesus said this. He said, “Salvation is of the Jews (John 4:22),” and “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy but to fulfil (Matthew 5:17).” We say we support Israel. We preach they aren’t saved. We paint Jesus as Christian and remove His ancestry. HE IS JEW. He is the Author of them and a son of them. When you meet Him, He will look like the Jews. He talks like the Jews. He teaches like the Jews. All His mannerisms are the Jews. We use the language barrier as a defense. I’ve learned to listen. Every word of their worship is calling on His name.

He grafted us into them and not the other way around. He is their root. They are natural branches. We are from the wild olive tree (Romans 11:24). They are the seed of Abraham. Jesus is the Seed of Abraham. Their covenant is eternal. Because of it, so it ours. We need to act like His, grateful for being included in what isn’t ours, grateful for each person who finds Him, and let His Word make its own defense.

For all have sinned and come short of the glory, the beauty, of God (Romans 3:23), and that’s the point. That He forgives anyone who ask and removes their sin as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12). Never to return, in other words. Paul murdered Christians on behalf of his idea of godliness. Then Jesus spoke, and He became one. We need to remember this and keep ourselves where he stood for the rest of his life. In love with people and willing to give his life for them. Just like Jesus.

“Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:” (1 Peter 2:23)

WHY DON’T we live by this? When they accused Him of sin, He said nothing. When they shouted “crucify”, asking for His death, He said nothing. When they stripped Him bare, dressed Him like a King, and mocked Him, He said nothing. Hanging on the cross, He quoted a psalm, but not for the reason most assume. He said, “I thirst,” and received vinegar and not water. He promised the thief Paradise. He placed Himself in the Father’s hands, in the moment of death. And cried out “It is finished.” Nowhere did He revile, that word means “to heap abuse on”. The previous verse, 1 Peter 2:22 says, “Neither was guile found in his mouth.” Guile is deceit. Jesus, the Messiah, Moshiach, the Christ, heard all that was said, every spiteful word. He felt the sting of hate and made no defense.

We don’t deserve Him.

We make lists. Lists of churches we think aren’t godly, lists of entertainers we think are deceitful. We call names in the pulpit of those we think have preached error. We split into denominations, new congregations, to divide ourselves from who we disagree with. We condemn the Jews. God needs no defense. When He had the right to make one, He didn’t. And He died. If we held this in our view at all times, we’d shut up about others. If we walked in surrender, making Him completely our LORD, we would see His point-of-view, we’d know how far short we still stand in knowledge and understanding. He’s the Word, the Source of all knowledge. He isn’t PREDICTING the end of earth and our final full redemption. He KNOWS it. It’s all His plan. And we are so very ignorant in our acceptance In it. He has accepted us.

We don’t accept us. We crucify. Jesus died for the Jews. He became their salvation. All who believe in Him from reading the Gospel in the Torah are saved. Jesus said this. He said, “Salvation is of the Jews (John 4:22),” and “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy but to fulfil (Matthew 5:17).” We say we support Israel. We preach they aren’t saved. We paint Jesus as Christian and remove His ancestry. HE IS JEW. He is the Author of them and a son of them. When you meet Him, He will look like the Jews. He talks like the Jews. He teaches like the Jews. All His mannerisms are the Jews. We use the language barrier as a defense. I’ve learned to listen. Every word of their worship is calling on His name.

He grafted us into them and not the other way around. He is their root. They are natural branches. We are from the wild olive tree (Romans 11:24). They are the seed of Abraham. Jesus is the Seed of Abraham. Their covenant is eternal. Because of it, so it ours. We need to act like His, grateful for being included in what isn’t ours, grateful for each person who finds Him, and let His Word make its own defense.

For all have sinned and come short of the glory, the beauty, of God (Romans 3:23), and that’s the point. That He forgives anyone who ask and removes their sin as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12). Never to return, in other words. Paul murdered Christians on behalf of his idea of godliness. Then Jesus spoke, and He became one. We need to remember this and keep ourselves where he stood for the rest of his life. In love with people and willing to give his life for them. Just like Jesus.

I ASKED the Holy Spirit, who I call “Papa,” a question. Papa, does everything symbolic have to be difficult to understand? Because it seems to me, this is me speaking to you again, that we take every dream, every vision, and make them into a mystery. Okay, get me started on John’s Revelation. Horns and Scrolls and Trumpet blasts (not in that order) with numerical interpretations and words I could not say as a child. Bar. Of. Soap. And here’s another thing He said to me about those: No one has the interpretation entirely correct. (Me again.) No one.

So, back to my question. Is the interpretation simple or complex? Because the more complicated people make it, the more I’m not listening.

The answer is Yes. There is always a simple meaning (ME: Yay!) and a deeper one. They will never conflict but will build one upon the other. No two minds think entirely alike. Which is why we are told to renew our minds to think like God. Jesus is the mind-standard. And the Holy Spirit knows our every thought and the intent behind them. There’s no pulling the wool over His eyes. I, personally, love that. I (a) don’t have to explain myself to Him, and (b) know He can fix whatever’s bugging me. He also speaks to me like how I understand things. I had a high school teacher (who shall remain nameless) that had taught college classes. Well, though he was now teaching high school, he still had college student expectations, and many of us couldn’t keep up. The Spirit of God, Papa, will never to that. We can know however much we desire to know. He wants us to want more but loves us if we don’t.

Okay, get me started on John’s Revelation. The fact no one has interpreted it correctly makes me not try too hard. There’s also the fact as a writer, I lean toward “less is more.” When writing fiction, I rarely ever wrote a novel-length book. I’d rather remove details than add them in order to avoid confusing the reader. Writing devotionals, like this one, is slightly different because I’m writing in the Spirit. But still, there are times I restructure sentences to make them clearer. But returning to the symbols in John’s vision, they are there for a purpose, and the only way to know it is to talk to God. We cannot guess or figure-it-out with our mind. These are Jesus’ words about why He spoke in parables. It was so that some would hear and not comprehend.

That really makes no sense to us, except He was talking about in the spirit, hearing with your inner man, and receiving revelation. Revelation is that “a ha!” moment. Suddenly, you see something you’ve never seen before. Many of God’s children never push for it. They hear what is spoken in the pulpit and read the Word at “face value,” not realizing there’s so much more to what seems to be cut-and-dried. I like simple, but when reading God’s truths, I always tell people to throw out the familiar. Put aside what you’ve always heard said and read it as if it were the first time. Then listen to your heart. It is by listening that I began to call Him “Papa.” He is the Breath or Ruach of the Father. I needed stability right then, and so He spoke so I could hear Him.

There is no backspace. A college professor can successfully return to teaching high school, but he should remind himself that these students are not as far along as those he’s had. However, he also cannot stop knowing what caused him to teach college classes. What God reveals to us, that we cling to and meditate on, we will not forget, and we will hunger for more. But to embrace more, sometimes, we have to step outside of our personal box. Mine is reading John’s Revelation with the intent to hear what God is saying and not simply to “get it out of the way.” My mind says: I’ll be in heaven then, so why does it matter? The answer: Well, because God put it in there, and nothing He writes or speaks through ministers of the gospel is of little value.

We are to be “careful little eyes what you see,” and not watch things which bring confusion or teach error. I’m not talking movies and secular entertainment but preaching and reading material and exhortation. We must be led of the Spirit to know when to watch (when, as in what time or place, and when, as in either yes or no) and when it will distract us from what we need more. Some people love-love-love prophecy and so never listen to the gospel being preached. This includes the prophets themselves. Every man or woman of God needs spiritual training and words that encourage and teach. We all need each other. That’s why there are so many different styles of preaching and different ministry gifts. We are a “body” made up of many parts. We should walk in unity and seek peace with each other. We should also hear the Spirit when, despite the message having good content, it simply isn’t what He asks for us today.

Which sends me back to John’s vision again anytime He asks me to turn there. And to not beating myself up if I don’t get it the first time or the second. Because, the important thing is it tells us how things end, and I love that part. Whatever happens in the chapters before the last one, there will one day be no more sorrow.

“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe,” (Ephesians 1:17-19)

“Because of this, ever since we heard about you, we have not stopped talking to God about you and asking him to enlighten your minds with truth and with a greater knowledge of his character, methods, principles and will, thus increasing your wisdom and understanding of eternal realities.” (Colossians 1:9, Remedy)

DEVILS DELIBERATELY choose violence. They are consumed with it. People, without Jesus, do the same. Sin is the cause in both. We see this spoken in Romans 1. What I want you to understand is sin is the problem.

We, the church, have made the cause of everything we fight to be devils. We sing they are "in our ear". We teach the devil speaks to us, destroying individuals, controlling governments. This is wrong. Only God is omnipresent, in all places at once. The earth is His (Psalm 24:1). He holds the keys of hell and of death (Revelation 1:18). In giving the devil stature, we have increased the error, making battles of things that aren't one. We need to hand God our sword and pick up His, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:17).

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” (2 Timothy 3:16)

We like to argue. That's the issue. Though God says, "love one another", "pray for all men", and “pray for your enemies” (Matthew 5:44), our first reaction is to make a defense. We have our comeback. JESUS IS OUR COMEBACK! And to fight something He destroyed is futile. Hebrews 2:14 says, "Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he [Jesus] also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil." Jesus' death rendered the devil useless. That is the meaning of "destroyed". What is useless cannot harm us. Is not active. And this goes to any other verses that seem to say otherwise. They don't. Not the devil as an angel of light. Not the devil seeking whom he may devour. Not Satan being released for a season in John’s Revelation. That, alone, is out of God’s character. He did not die and rise again to save the entire world, only to watch it crash and burn. We've gotten our thoughts tangled. God’s Word is clear. He is love. He destroyed Satan.

He destroyed unclean spirits. Yes, they are out there. No, they are not powerful. 1 John 3:8 says, “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” “The works”, here, being sin and death, sickness and disease, and all fallen spirits. The word “destroyed” means “dissolved." Devils cannot do what they did before Jesus died, including what we see written in the gospels. Jesus was manifested, a word which comes from a root word meaning "to shed light" (G5316), in order to dissolve all they were. We must see this and watch our words.

It feels good to fight back, but anger leads to sin (Ephesians 4:26). Anger leads to violence. And violence makes us like them. Jesus is the Prince of peace, the God of peace who came to earth to bring “peace, good will toward men (Luke 2:14).” Our loving Father, who sent Him to become like us, asks us to stand firm on the work of the cross and Resurrection. Salvation, makes us new creatures (2 Corinthians 5:17), “called out of darkness into his marvellous light (1 Peter 2:9).” We no longer give into our human nature and the desire to argue. In the face of violence in our ears, we choose peace. Silence. We hear what the Spirit would say instead and change our point-of-view.

Because He is our defense. Jesus is our healing. Not because of anything we do but because what He grows in us is love, joy, peace, patience, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

“Refrain from anger and abandon wrath; do not fret—it can only bring harm.” (Psalm 37:8, BSB)

IF A MAN living in remote Slobobia gets saved by watching a video on a cell phone but then never goes to church, he will one day walk the streets of heaven and wave as he walks by. Jesus is his entrance. If a woman in Detroit was saved as a girl and now watches Sunday services from her computer chair, she will also walk the streets of heaven and wave. Jesus is her entrance.

Try as hard as I might, I can't find the verse that says watching church at home takes away your salvation and makes Jesus upset.

In fact, the Spirit once told me there are many who serve Him who will never darken a church door. This should make you sit up and ask why.

The better question is, when we ask Jesus to live in our heart, that being the question, and we believe He died on the cross and rose again, the Word says then He comes to live in us with the Holy Spirit and never leaves. It's not contingent on church affiliation, denomination, or attendance. It's not reliant upon whether we heard about Jesus in person, on mobile phone, or an iPad. Technology is actually not part of salvation.

So okay, to include the most misunderstood verse about church attendance, Hebrews 10:25 does say, "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is." But in that day, if you didn’t go to church, you didn't hear the sermon. There were no computers or cell phones. Or books teaching the gospel. Or the Bible in a leather cover with a red silk bookmark. Plus, idol worship was huge, including in the Roman world.

What does Matthew 24:14 say, keeping in mind these are the words of Jesus: "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." In that day, you had to sail there to preach the good news or had to write letters like Paul did. Plus, there was no Good Ol' USA, or any other North American country. They did not know who all lived around the world. All that to say, it is technology which we use for God which enables the story of Jesus to reach all the world so that the end will come.

Insert here, Minister Lance Wallnau and his word from God about the 7 mountains. In case you are unfamiliar, these are the key ways humans communicate, and what was revealed to Minister Wallnau is that the church as the body of Christ, looking and sounding like Christ and not the world, is supposed to be first in these areas, which include entertainment, politics, and finance.

All of that to say, Jesus saves in person, by cell phone, or the computer and, I will add also, that the Holy Spirit writes books. Many books full of the Anointed Word. They do not replace the Bible but are of immense help when King James is not speaking good English. Which is frequently. They also aid in understanding Hebrew and Greek, as well as modern thoughts and prophecy not directly in the Bible. Widening this idea, the Holy Spirit writes many genres of music. People have a wide variety of tastes. It is not a sin to sing softly in French or to dance to Jesus with a folk tune, or freestyle with a kid who did not die in the ghetto. It is not a sin to dislike what other people enjoy, but it is a sin to criticize them either publicly or under your breath when you are offended. People are why Jesus gave His life. They are NOT our example of behavior or the brunt of our jokes.

“And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.” (Matthew 24:10)

“And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:” (1 Thessalonians 3:12)

And Jesus healed them all (Matthew 12:15). Regardless of age, spiritual understanding, upbringing, or why they were sick. He healed a Roman centurion's servant, a Syro-Phoenician woman's daughter (Mark 7:26), lepers who were unclean under the Law. He forgave a Samaritan woman who'd had five husbands and was living with number six, unwed. He protected a woman caught in adultery. “From then on, Jesus began explaining to his disciples that he must face the church leaders in Jerusalem, suffer many abuses at the hands of the church elders, pastors, priests, church administrators and lawyers, and that they would kill him, but on the third day after his death he would arise to life.” (Matthew 16:21, Remedy)

If God was picky about salvation — who, how, why —then half of heaven would be empty. Rules to obey for forgiveness were Old Covenant Law. The only rule now is "I'm sorry, God," and "Jesus save me." That's it. God will go anywhere to save anyone and loves us however we attend church, wherever we live. Our hearts should embrace people just like He does and be just as excited, otherwise we miss the meaning of John 3:16.

IF A MAN living in remote Slobobia gets saved by watching a video on a cell phone but then never goes to church, he will one day walk the streets of heaven and wave as he walks by. Jesus is his entrance. If a woman in Detroit was saved as a girl and now watches Sunday services from her computer chair, she will also walk the streets of heaven and wave. Jesus is her entrance.

Try as hard as I might, I can't find the verse that says watching church at home takes away your salvation and makes Jesus upset.

In fact, the Spirit once told me there are many who serve Him who will never darken a church door. This should make you sit up and ask why.

The better question is, when we ask Jesus to live in our heart, that being the question, and we believe He died on the cross and rose again, the Word says then He comes to live in us with the Holy Spirit and never leaves. It's not contingent on church affiliation, denomination, or attendance. It's not reliant upon whether we heard about Jesus in person, on mobile phone, or an iPad. Technology is actually not part of salvation.

So okay, to include the most misunderstood verse about church attendance, Hebrews 10:25 does say, "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is." But in that day, if you didn’t go to church, you didn't hear the sermon. There were no computers or cell phones. Or books teaching the gospel. Or the Bible in a leather cover with a red silk bookmark. Plus, idol worship was huge, including in the Roman world.

What does Matthew 24:14 say, keeping in mind these are the words of Jesus: "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." In that day, you had to sail there to preach the good news or had to write letters like Paul did. Plus, there was no Good Ol' USA, or any other North American country. They did not know who all lived around the world. All that to say, it is technology which we use for God which enables the story of Jesus to reach all the world so that the end will come.

Insert here, Minister Lance Wallnau and his word from God about the 7 mountains. In case you are unfamiliar, these are the key ways humans communicate, and what was revealed to Minister Wallnau is that the church as the body of Christ, looking and sounding like Christ and not the world, is supposed to be first in these areas, which include entertainment, politics, and finance.

All of that to say, Jesus saves in person, by cell phone, or the computer and, I will add also, that the Holy Spirit writes books. Many books full of the Anointed Word. They do not replace the Bible but are of immense help when King James is not speaking good English. Which is frequently. They also aid in understanding Hebrew and Greek, as well as modern thoughts and prophecy not directly in the Bible. Widening this idea, the Holy Spirit writes many genres of music. People have a wide variety of tastes. It is not a sin to sing softly in French or to dance to Jesus with a folk tune, or freestyle with a kid who did not die in the ghetto. It is not a sin to dislike what other people enjoy, but it is a sin to criticize them either publicly or under your breath when you are offended. People are why Jesus gave His life. They are NOT our example of behavior or the brunt of our jokes.

“And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.” (Matthew 24:10)

“And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:” (1 Thessalonians 3:12)

WHAT GOD TELLS US is never meant for our judgment. Our judgment, not His. His judgment is just. Ours isn't. This thought goes to prophecy and to prayer. Prophecy is given for exhortation, edification, and comfort (1 Corinthians 14:3). Prayer is done from God’s love. And sometimes, He wants to direct us specifically. But if we take what He says in the secret place and make it criticism in public, He will stop speaking. What He says that needs change should bring grieving. This is the mourning of Matthew 5:4. It is a character trait of the Father that we must adopt. The end of the chapter says to be perfect or mature like Him.

We see His grief in Lamentations. There, the prophet Jeremiah, a Jew, cries out over destruction to Israel. I have done this for others and understood it as His mourning. Why would He trust us with His heart like that? We are pleased to know His goodness. We rejoice in His joy, His happiness. There is no difference between joy and happiness, despite what's been said otherwise. But point is, the good things we’re happy to know. The sorrowful, those that need correcting, we treat poorly.

The Father trusts us at times, and we need to value it. We don't. We criticize instead. This is NOT our right. God continually spoke to Israel of His love (Deuteronomy 6:5) and mercy. I have seen this in them, how generous and kind they are to the hurting, to their children, and their elders. Jesus IS them. He is the SO LOVE of the Father, shown upon the earth (John 3:16). We are to be like Him. His Spirit in us makes us willing. If you ever have a glimpse of the “breadth, and length, and depth, and height” of God’s love (Ephesians 3:18), loving others will be so easy. It is why we mourn the errors. It is why we preach in kindness. There is no place in us for hate. We must love people, in the good and the bad, which often means keeping silent. Less talk is better love when it comes to the secret place.

Men’s need for attention was Jesus’ criticism of prayer. There were leaders who made a scene so people would see them pray and/or fast (Matthew 2:7). We need to treasure God's trust and not use it for our personal advantage. That attitude should not be part of us, for that matter. We are not “in the ministry” for mammon (Matthew 6:24), for authority, or for control. All authority we are given is as service, to wash feet, spiritually speaking. To lust for control is the behavior of devils. Instead, it is as Jesus said: Do not enter the room and take the prominent seat, lest another, more mature than you enter and you are asked to move. In humbleness sit in the back and be bid to move forward (Luke 14:11). Our behavior shows our intent, and it is our intent that causes God to speak treasures of His heart to us. Because He knows we will treat it righteously.

I want to please Him. This is first in all I do. I want to truly know Him and never speak errors, and see clearly where He has placed me. For one thing that I have learned in staying submitted to Him: He is so very kind. And that most in the church have one foot to the left and the other far right, and they stand awkwardly placed between mismatched doctrines. In one breath, the devil is destroyed (Hebrews 2:14). In the next, they’re in a war with him. Which is it?

God would have us stop our personal interpretations and hear His Voice. But how we treat what He says will always determine what we hear and if He uses us.

PEOPLE DON’T see the size of God, how truly “full” fullness of knowledge is. He has all wisdom. He is the Source of it. He is the Source of power and lacks neither understanding, nor depth, nor any minute information. He knows all men, even their thoughts and intents (Hebrews 13:5). His plan to rescue the world is not out of His hand and has never been out of His hand. The Father spoke to me months ago, I forget how many, and said He had a beautiful plan for even the end of hell. I can’t fathom it, but His comfort is with me still. He is so GREAT, so BEAUTIFUL. We must get our eyes off of the problem and keep them on Him. He has it all in His grasp, and all of mankind in His palm. What looks impossible to us has always been in His care.

Our image of Him as uncaring, as unable, is so very wrong. He is peace, and He is bringing peace because that is who He is. He has chosen to work slowly, with longsuffering and patience. He’s chosen to be subtle, to be gentle and self-controlled. He could have sent 12 legions of angels to save Jesus from the cross (John 18:11). Jesus could have ridden in as a conqueror. That simply isn’t how God is. We’re an axe and a hammer. He’s a breeze. A sheepfold. We want another Red Sea experience. He’s the turning of the tide from the rainfall. We talk numbers, how many have “gotten saved” in this revival or through that speaker’s efforts, and can’t see the whole, complete expanse of it.

While we’re splitting us up between Gentiles and Jews, many condemning the Jews. Between Protestant and Catholic. Between denominations. Cultures. Genders. He’s peace-ing us all back together, all those tiny infinitesimal things we can’t see, we can’t control, already known by Him and well in His care. I said this once: “He made us. We didn’t make Him.” It would pay us to keep this in front of us and, put plainly, to shut up. Accept He is BIG and we are small. The rescue of the earth from violence, chamas, in Noah’s day sets an example (Genesis 6:11). He waited until none could be saved but eight souls, unwilling to destroy any sign of righteousness. That was His mercy, not His judgment. It was peace in the midst of violence. Sin brought violence. Holiness brought cleansing.

This is still His heart, and just as then, today, war won’t win. War between heaven and earth won’t happen, for that matter. Lean into Him and worship, rather than wonder. Soak Him in. Bury your opinions, your constant view of yourself, and become surrendered. Let Him be God.

THE IDEA WAS NOT to offer salvation but watch the world crash and burn. God didn’t send His Only-begotten Son to die a cruel death for whosoever, John 3:16, yet most wouldn’t see Him, and so He’d have to come again one day and remove the few who did. Because despite all that, the world would crash and burn. The Word in the beginning, with God and as God (John 1:1), did not create this beautiful earth, perfected, knowing that sin would ruin it, His Son would die and be raised to life, yet in the long run, after a war to end all wars, the earth would crash and burn.

And God did not destroy Satan, Hebrews 2:14, and the works of Satan, 1 John 3:8, and abolish death, 2 Timothy 1:10, through the death of His Son, who was so disfigured He didn’t even look human, Isaiah 52:14, yet plan to release Satan for a little season, when all was said and done, and cause the earth to crash and burn. Rolling back time, the very idea Satan thought he could exalt his throne above God’s (Isaiah 14:13), God wouldn’t figure it out and be overtaken, is ridiculous. God – Father, Son, and Spirit – knows all things. And Satan fell like lightning (Luke 10:18).

“Therefore, my dear children, always reject lies about God and any false concept about the character of God.” (1 John 5:21, Remedy)

The idea was to spread His Presence on the earth, His Spirit living within man, until He was everywhere, in all things, omnipresent. The plan was to bring the kingdom of God to earth, for heaven to be seen here, for His wisdom and power to destroy all the work of sin, pulling down strong holds in the mind (2 Corinthians 10;4), healing the sick, and even raising people from the dead, and then with a united church, with a joyful blessed kingdom of Israel, for Jesus to return as the diamond in the crown. It is not going to be what we see death doing around us, what our mood and our reasoning and our doubts have decided is the future, what wrong doctrine has read into Scripture minus God’s heart of mercy and peace. It won’t be scary to the believer. He won’t show up as a thief in the night, and we’re walking along when one of us disappears and we’re left behind. It won’t involve bondage and slavery and a number printed on our arm, either obey or die – THAT’S BEEN DONE. 6 million Jews died for it.

It will be what God said at the beginning. “It shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel (Genesis 3:15).” The one crushed is the serpent. The One bruised is the King. Of Israel. Of Kings. The One crowned victorious, seated at the right hand of the Father (Colossians 3:1), who opened the seals because He alone is worthy (Revelation 5:5), the Anointed One, Moshiach, will exhale, and there will be no more death, and sorrow and mourning will fade away (Revelation 21:4).

“For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” (John 3:17)

It will be what God said at the beginning. “It shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel (Genesis 3:15).” The one crushed is the serpent. The One bruised is the King. Of Israel. Of Kings. The One crowned victorious, seated at the right hand of the Father (Colossians 3:1), who opened the seals because He alone is worthy (Revelation 5:5), the Anointed One, Moshiach, will exhale, and there will be no more death, and sorrow and mourning will fade away (Revelation 21:4).
