We’ve tried looking into what cash pricing would be for an experience like this at a couple of races, but have never been able to find something directly comparable. These experiences are set up as auctions, and currently, they all have at least one bid. I’ve seen Choice Experiences go for the starting bid, or close to it, multiple times. So, if you’re a NASCAR fan, this could be something worth “gearing up” for.

Quick Thoughts

Before we get into more details, a quick PSA. While I haven’t heard of many Chase shutdowns (where all of your credit cards are canceled) over the years, those that I have seen are often folks who had credit cards AND bank accounts. The theory is that having bank accounts puts more eyes on all your accounts, and if a human notices marginal credit card behavior, it can put you at risk. I’ve never opened a Chase banking account because of this. I may be a Nervous Nellie, but I get a lot of value from my relationship with Chase, and I’d prefer to stay on the safe-ish side.

That said, for those who don’t indulge with their Chase credit cards, this is as good as it gets. In P2 mode, you can earn $1800 and even reuse the same $15K if you signed up for one account now and then transferred that money to P2’s account once the bonus credits. That’s a big hunk of change.

What Chase considers a direct deposit is a little fuzzy. Doctor of Credit maintains a kind-of-updated list of what works. It’s worth consulting that before deciding whether to move any existing direct deposits over.

These bonuses sometimes expire before the official expiration date, so if you’re thinking about taking this one for a spin, I would go ahead and get a coupon code now, as it will be good until July 15th. If you’re in 2-player mode and plan on opening the accounts sequentially, get both codes now.

If you’ve got the cash lying around and don’t do much hanky-panky with your Chase credit cards, this offer is definitely worth a look.

Quick Thoughts

This is an easy checking account bonus: the requirements are very simple: make deposits totaling $ 5,000 or $25,000 within 30 days of account opening, hold the money in the account for 60 days after account opening, sign up for online banking, and complete 5 transactions on the account. That’s it.

Since you can open an account with as little as $100, you don’t need to deposit the remainder until day 25-30. After 60 days (from account opening), you just need to maintain a positive balance until the bonus is credited (US Bank allows up to 45 days for that). So, you shouldn’t have to leave the full amount in the account for longer than 30-35 days.

There are two types of business checking accounts. You can get the $400 bonus by signing up for Business Essentials, which has no maintenance fees. The account is limited to 125 transactions per month, and each transaction incurs a $.50 fee. Why would you do more than 125 transactions in a month?

The $1200 bonus now requires a Platinum checking account. Previously, you could get the higher level with Business Essentials, but now that you must open the higher-level account, maintenance fees become a bigger issue. It’s $30/month, unless you maintain an average minimum balance of $25,000. That’s no big deal for the month that you keep the $25K in the account, but there’s still the first month (before you deposit the lion’s share of the money) and the last month while you’re waiting for the bonus to be credited.

Leaving the cash in means you’d be forgoing ~$100/month to save $30 in maintenance fees… which seems like a bad deal to me. It’s probably better to just take the money out and know you’ll pay ~$60 in fees, bringing the total bonus closer to $1000 ($1200 – ~$60 in fees and ~$125 in interest on the money you have tied up for a month).

US Bank bonuses have usually been limited to states with a US Bank branch (which is a wide net… see locations here). If you live in one of the states without a branch, you used to be able to get around this requirement by opening a US Bank brokerage account first and then opening the checking account later. Based on previous comments, it sounds like US Bank may have closed that loophole but is now allowing folks with a US Bank credit card to open checking accounts, even if they’re outside the US Bank footprint.

US Bank is fairly strict on its churning rules, so I wouldn’t mess with it if you’ve had an account or received a US Bank bonus within the past year. If you haven’t, this is easy money.

Other than needing to book on the portal and the fact that it’s valid only once, there aren’t any other restrictions listed for this Chase Offer. That means you should be able to book flights, hotel stays, cruises, activities, tours, or rental cars costing $600+ in a single transaction to trigger the statement credit for this offer.

There are now a variety of Chase Travel credits across several Ultimate Rewards-earning cards. If any of them are targeted for this offer, you should be able to stack them.

Quick Thoughts

Mile Play offers vary from person to person – if you’re even targeted – so there’s not one single offer that’s applicable to everyone. It seems like, more and more, they send out offers in waves as opposed to all at once. My offer gives 5,900 bonus miles after taking one “trip” with United by June 9th. A “trip” is defined as a flight that costs more than $225, and one-way flights count.

There are a couple of important things to keep in mind when it comes to United Mile Play offers. The first is that the spending threshold for the flight(s) you need to take relates to the fare itself. There are various taxes and fees added when booking paid flights, so in my case, the fare and carrier-imposed surcharges portion has to be at least $225, not including government-imposed taxes and fees… but your spending threshold might be higher or lower.

The other key thing to note is that qualifying flights must be booked after you’ve registered for the promotion. Nick once booked a United flight just a couple of days before being targeted for MilePlay. However, because that flight was booked before he registered for his Mile Play offer, it wasn’t eligible as a qualifying flight to meet the offer requirements. Thankfully, that was easy to remedy; the price hadn’t changed, so he was able to cancel and rebook to earn the bonus miles from the flight.

Quick Thoughts

This can be a great bonus as it means the person you refer can essentially get a $50 item for free after cash back, and you get $50, 5,000 Membership Rewards points, or 5,000 Bilt points for helping them do it. When you sign up for Rakuten, your account preference is set to earn cash back by default, but you can switch your earning preference to Membership Rewards or Bilt points.

Just make sure your referees sign up by June 30th. They then have 90 days to make $50 in purchases through Rakuten, which should be fairly easy – it’s a good deal for them as well.

There’s another good selection of eligible cities in the US and Canada this month and award availability is pretty good overall, although availability does obviously depend on your routes and dates.

A 70% headline rate sounds impressive, but it’s really not; not for IHG anyway. Chase Ultimate Rewards ordinarily transfer to IHG on a 1:1 basis which means that with the transfer bonus it’s increased to 1:1.7. The thing is, IHG frequently sells its points for 0.5 cents per point meaning that 1 cent buys you 2 points. If you exchange 1 Ultimate Rewards point for 1.7 points, it means you’re getting less than 1 cent per point of value compared to just buying the points with cash.

Quick Thoughts

This will obviously be most useful for people booking paid flights with Air India. However, there might be slightly wider interest in this now that Air India is a transfer partner of Rove Miles. As a result, taxes and fees on an award ticket should also trigger the statement credit from the Chase Offer provided you spend at least $100.

The list of eligible hotels gets updated each month with new properties and were previously bookable for three months ahead of time. Since March 2026 though, IHG has extended the booking window, allowing you to make reservations for the new locations up to six months in advance.

Quick Thoughts

A lot of the new IHG hotels – particularly in the US – aren’t very inspiring seeing as many are for brands like Garner, Candlewood Suites, etc. However, I find it’s always worth perusing the lists because there are sometimes hotels that could be of interest.

For example, there’s the Hotel Indigo Turks & Caicos Grace Bay, Vignette Collection Fairview Hotel Nairobi in Kenya, Ruby Lissi Hotel Vienna in Austria, Vignette Collection THE ONE Shanghai Downtown in China, and HUALUXE Qidong in China.

Some of these properties are so new that IHG doesn’t have any reviews yet. However, there are reviews for some of them and those are worth checking out. For example, the Kimpton Miralina Resort and Villas in Scottsdale, AZ might sound great, but it has a 3.72/5 rating from 46 reviews. The voco Times Square – Broadway in New York meanwhile has an even worse 3.38/5 rating based on 50 reviews.

They kicked off that partnership with a 30% transfer bonus, then followed it up with another 30% bonus for the month of February.

Now, just a month since that previous 30% transfer bonus to Japan Airlines ended, Capital One has launched another one.

Quick Thoughts

Capital One miles normally transfer to Japan Airlines on a 1,000:750 basis. This transfer bonus therefore increases that ratio to almost parity at 1,000:975. While it’s a shame that the normal ratio isn’t 1,000:1,000 as the bonus would make that 1,000:1,300, it is still possible to get good value from an almost 1:1 transfer ratio.

Quick Thoughts

Chase tends to run Aeroplan transfer bonuses a couple of times per year, usually in the 20%-30% range. Historically, those transfer bonuses have occurred in June and December, so it’s mildly interesting to see it appearing a little earlier this year.

Even though this latest bonus is on the lower end of the scale at 20%, it does stack with the transfer bonus benefit that Chase Aeroplan cardholders get. As a reminder, Aeroplan cardholders get a 10% bonus when transferring at least 50K Ultimate Rewards to their Aeroplan account which is capped at 25K bonus points per year (i.e. maxing out when transferring a total of 250K points).

Quick Thoughts

It’s good to see a new batch of these targeted spending offers going out. You might receive an email about your cobranded card(s) giving one-click activation, but it’s worth trying to register using the links above even if you don’t get an email. That’s because in the past I’ve found that those sometimes work even if I haven’t received an email about it and even though the generic link said that I wasn’t targeted. That said, try using the generic chase.com/mybonus registration link too just in case.

Also be sure to make a note of which offer you’re registered for on each eligible card. After you’ve registered, if you try to enter your card details on a registration page it’ll tell you you’re already registered for a spending promotion, but it won’t detail which one it is, which is annoying.

My wife received an email from Barclays about this offer, with the terms stating that it’s for select Wyndham cardmembers. I have a Wyndham card too and didn’t receive an email about it, so I seemingly wasn’t targeted.

That said, it does seem like anyone might be able to take advantage of this promotion by creating a new account at the landing page above. I tried logging in using my existing Resort Vacation Certificates account which I’d set up a number of years ago when my wife and I received one of these certificates as part of an offer for attending a timeshare presentation. The pricing on my existing account was showing up at the standard pricing of $699.

However, when setting up a brand new account, the $349 certificate pricing appeared:

Getting a seven night vacation for $349 could be a decent deal seeing as that works out to only ~$50 per night. However, do note the line in the terms that states the certificate is only valid for redemptions during shoulder and off season periods, so don’t go into this expecting to book a prime location in the middle of summer.

The good thing is that after creating an account, you should be able to run property searches to see if there are any locations that you’re interested in that are bookable with the certificate. That way you can identify potential vacation spots before actually purchasing a $349 certificate.

Be sure to check the details for the resorts as there might be an additional resort fee that’ll be charged, as well as other potential fees for things like housekeeping.

The terms state that you have to book your stay within a year. It’s not clear if that means you have to complete your stay within a year, or if you only have to make a reservation using the certificate within a year. If it’s the latter, that would give you up to two years to redeem the certificate, but I wouldn’t count on that being the policy. I also wouldn’t buy one of these unless I’d found availability and was ready to book pretty much straight away.

Something that’s worth noting is that even though the places you’ll be booking are probably timeshare properties, you don’t have to attend a timeshare presentation as part of this specific $349 certificate offer.

Virgin Atlantic appears on a number of shopping portals, with most awarding ~1% cashback, although there are one or two offering 3% cashback. You’d need to spend $3,333 on flights at 3% cashback before you’d beat a flat $100 cashback from Capital One Shopping if you’re targeted for this offer. Having said that, Capital One Shopping cashback can only be redeemed for select gift cards, so it’s not true cashback that you can redeem to your checking account.

Something worth bearing in mind is that this almost certainly won’t work when spending $330+ on taxes and fees for award flights. That’s because this is a shopping portal offer rather than a card-linked spending offer like an Amex Offer and I’ve never had any luck having award taxes and fees tracking for Virgin. That said, if you were targeted for this deal and you were going to book award flights using Virgin Atlantic Flying Club points anyway, it’s worth clicking through nonetheless just in case it does track; I just wouldn’t make a decision based on the assumption that award tax/fee spend will trigger the $100 cashback.

Quick Thoughts

Getting $250 back on a $1,250 purchase is a decent return, especially seeing as it’s valid on more than one purchase. That’s handy because if you’re booking for more than one person, each person’s flight sometimes gets charged for separately.

Earning 1,000 bonus miles on a single card-linked purchase is a decent reward, especially seeing as it’s on top of your standard earnings.

The downside is that there’s a limited number of participating retailers eligible for this offer. The good thing is that at least some of them are eligible for online purchases rather than it only being for in-store purchases. For example, if you book pet-sitting/pet-walking services with Rover, that’ll get you 665 points in addition to the 1,000 bonus points.

Last week, American Express quietly removed the Saks Fifth Avenue credit from the list of benefits for new Platinum cardholders. The Amex Platinum card currently includes a $50 “Shop Saks” credit for Saks Fifth Avenue purchases between January and June and again between July and December. This benefit was removed for those applying from 3/26/26 onward, but those who had the card prior to that date can still enroll in and use the benefit. Update: Corrected as per the statement above.

This move is hardly surprising as Saks has been teetering on the edge for quite some time, entering bankruptcy protection a couple of months ago. Around the holidays, it became almost impossible to find items in stock and available to be ordered, and even some of those items that were in stock never shipped. It is anybody’s guess as to how long Saks can continue to operate, so I expected this benefit to be cut at some point.

It is good to see that existing cardholders are still able to enroll in and make use of the benefit, since it has been advertised as a benefit when new cardholders have opened the card. However, I wouldn’t advise waiting until the end of June to use your credits from this half of the year. While you’ll still be eligible for the benefit, there’s no telling how long Saks will last, and there’s no guarantee that an online order will ship (a few of my holiday orders never shipped). If you haven’t enrolled and still have the benefit available, make sure to enroll before making a purchase, as enrollment is required.

For now, I believe that gift cards are still being honored, but I wouldn’t recommend holding them. Use them when you have an opportunity.
