There are four different bonuses that you can earn as part of these timeshare offers:

Needless to say, the first two of those options aren’t worth it considering the 40,000 points option is available on the points side of things, or $199 back if you’d rather have cash. IHG frequently sells its points for 0.5 cents per point (although its latest sale just ended), so during those sales you could buy 40,000 points for $200. As a result, I’d personally choose the $199 back option if taking advantage of one of these offers because then you have the flexibility to buy points in the future if you want, or you can just keep the money in your pocket.

As always though, only participate in one of these offers if you know that you’ll be able to withstand the pressure during a timeshare presentation.

Quick Thoughts

We were notified by the Giftcards.com affiliate program that all five of these airline portals are earning 3X, but it looks like the United (for non-cardholders) and Delta portals are offering slightly lower rates than that right now.

Still, the Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, and Southwest portals are perhaps the most interesting options anyway. That’s because all three of those portals allow you to earn elite status qualifying points and/or a Companion Pass.

For American Airlines, you earn 1 Loyalty Point for every mile you earn, so a 3X miles earning rate means you’ll also earn 3X Loyalty Points.

Alaska Airlines awards 1 Status Point for every 3 Atmos Rewards points you earn, so the 3X rate for Giftcards.com means you’ll earn 1X Status Point per dollar.

Points earned through the Southwest shopping portal don’t count towards A-List elite status, but the points are also Companion Pass-qualifying points, so you’ll earn those at a 3X clip right now.

In addition to the boosted earning rates, Giftcards.com is giving a 10% discount on $100 digital Visa gift cards when using promo code LDV10 through September 12. The usage of some promo codes invalidates shopping portal earnings, but that particular promo code is explicitly listed as being eligible, so those purchases should track.

For what it’s worth, several other shopping portals—including Rakuten, TopCashback, and Swagbucks—are all offering 3X or 3% for Giftcards.com purchases right now, while I’m seeing an even better rate of 6X on Capital One Offers. One or more of these airline portals might be preferable for many though due to the ability to help earn towards status or a Companion Pass as well.

I’m seeing rates of up to 17.5% cashback on Capital One Shopping and up to 17X miles on Capital One Offers, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there are even better rates out there for targeted individuals.

This isn’t as good as some Capital One Shopping/Offers dals we’ve seen for Trip.com in the past. For example, back in March some people were being targeted with rates like 36.5% for hotel stays, 24% for car rentals, 12% for airport transfers, etc. Still, earning up to 17.5% cashback or up to 17X miles can still be a very good return versus other options out there.

As a reminder, Capital One Shopping is a shopping portal that’s open to everyone. The cashback you earn has to be redeemed for a range of third party gift cards, so it’s not pure cashback that can be cashed out to your checking account.

Capital One Offers on the other hand is a shopping portal that’s only available for Capital One cardholders and checking/savings account holders. If your card earns miles, you’ll generally earn the rewards in miles (you’ll see the earning rate listed with an X at the end; if it has a % sign instead, it means you’ll earn the rewards as cashback.)

Earning rates for these deals of the day are targeted, so you might well see rates higher than up to 17.5%/17X. Also keep an eye out on emails from Capital One Shopping today because those tend to contain the highest targeted rates of all.

There’s now an alternative earning option when renting with Avis: a $30 statement credit when spending $250 or more. Unfortunately, it’s unlikely that you’ll be able to stack these two deals, although there are other stacking options.

Quick Thoughts

In the past, it was possible to stack both Citi Offers and SimplyMiles offers. However, two or three years ago there were limitations placed on these two types of offers which means that in many cases it’s now only possible to earn with one or the other—not both.

That said, there have been sporadic reports of people being able to earn rewards with both types of program, so fingers crossed that these Avis offers are another set of outliers like that. Just in case it isn’t possible to earn the statement credit along with the AAdvantage miles and Loyalty Points, it’d be best to load/activate whichever of the two options appeals to you most because with some offers the other option disappears after loading/activating with the first one.

You can stack with other earning opportunities though. For example, you can get up to $120 back every calendar year when renting with Avis (or Budget) and paying with a Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World Elite Mastercard®.

You can also earn shopping portal rewards by clicking through to Avis from one of those, plus you can use a corporate or discount code to save on your Avis rental.

Quick Thoughts

If you’re interested in buying Choice points with this latest sale, it’s worth checking the pricing available on your account as there are sometimes targeted discounts that are higher or lower than other people see on their accounts. Choice cardholders in particular often benefit from lower pricing due to a larger discount or bonus.

We peg the Reasonable Redemption Value of Choice Privileges points at 0.75 cents per point (recently raised from 0.67 cents per point). That’s a higher value than the price available with this latest sale, plus there are opportunities to get outsized value with Choice points, so it shouldn’t take much effort at all to come out ahead when buying points with this latest sale.

Despite these points purchases being processed by Points.com, a reader pointed out in the past that you earn 5X or 10X by buying these points with a Choice credit card (depending on which of the cards you have), as it treats it the same as spending at Choice properties.

Quick Thoughts

Getting $200 back as a statement credit represents a 44.4% return on that $450 of spend which is a fantastic deal as Marriott Amex Offers usually only give up to 20% back as a statement credit.

If you have this offer on more than one household card and your stay is due to cost $900 or more, you can ask the hotel to split the cost of your stay across two or more cards in order to earn multiple $200 statement credits.

As always with these types of hotel offers, buying a physical gift card from the front desk of a participating hotel should work to trigger the Amex Offer statement credit. However, it can be hard to a) find Marriott hotels that have gift cards and b) have at least one available employee who knows how to process gift card purchases. If you can do that though, it’s a great way to lock in savings now for a stay beyond the Amex Offer expiry date.

Based on what I found on the Wayback Machine, it looks like this partnership and promotion has been around for several years, but I only came across it the other day and thought it was highlighting, particularly for the opportunity to earn Gold status easily.

If you’re an AARP member, booking the IPAARP rate will earn you Gold status and 2,500 bonus points after your next stay. You’ll obviously want to compare that rate to other rates you’d be eligible for, but if there’s no difference in price—or if the IPAARP is even cheaper than other publicly available rates—then taking advantage of this promotion for your next paid Preferred Hotels stay is a no brainer.

Gold status conveys the same benefits that I Prefer Silver members get which includes early check-in and late check-out (neither is guaranteed), complimentary Wi-Fi, room upgrades, and more, as well as a welcome amenity and 20% bonus points earnings on stays.

Through September 13, 2026, there’s also a targeted Preferred Hotels & Resorts Amex Offer that’s giving a $100 statement credit when spending $500+ at participating properties.

Redeeming 22,500-45,000 points feels a little steep for me, although you’ll need to check your dates to see how worthwhile that kind of redemption would be.

In some cases it won’t be at all worthwhile. For example, a stay in a Chamber room at Virgin Hotels Nashville from December 8-10 would cost $277.50 per night including taxes and fees, versus a redemption of 30,000 points per night as those are weeknights. That’s less than one cent per point of value which is poor.

I haven’t checked every single date for all three of these properties though, so there might be some semblance of value out there.

What makes these listings particularly interesting is that rather than them being auction-style whereby someone could outbid you, they’re ‘Bid Now’ listings which means that you’re guaranteed to get the tickets the moment you redeem your miles for them.

The Deal

Quick Thoughts

It can be very expensive to get tickets to watch these top European sides, so having the ability to redeem miles for them makes for an interesting proposition. However, it isn’t necessarily going to be cheap miles-wise either.

Tickets for Benfica (one of the top sides in Portugal) can be had from only 6,000 miles, but tickets for Arsenal and Real Madrid run as high as 30,000 miles. That pricing is for a single ticket, so if you want to take a friend or partner, you could be looking at having to redeem up to 60,000 miles.

This could be a particularly appealing prospect for someone who has a stash of miles in their Emirates Skywards account already. That’s due to the fairly stringent expiration policy of Emirates Skywards miles: your miles will expire three years after they’re earned/transferred, with earning/redemption activity not extending their life. There are a few other nuances regarding the precise date that they’ll expire, along with the fact that you can pay to have their life extended, but as a general concept they expire after three years. If you’ve transferred in miles in the past and haven’t yet redeemed them, or had to cancel award flights, you could well be sitting on a large stash of miles. While redeeming up to 30,000 miles for a soccer ticket might not provide superb value versus the cash pricing (although it could depending on the game), it’s certainly better than watching your miles vanish into thin air due to them expiring.

As noted earlier, you have to log in to your Emirates account in order to see all the games that are currently available. There are definitely further ticket packages that’ll be made available later this season for at least some of the teams; I’m hoping Arsenal vs Liverpool tickets become available for their game in early February, while Real Madrid vs Barcelona at the Bernabéu next May would also be a great one to catch live.

There are only a handful of tickets available for each game, so you’ll want to redeem for those ASAP if there are any games you’re interested as I imagine quite a few games will sell out quickly.

Quick Thoughts

These Breeze Airways promos have the potential to be good money-savers, but be aware that the promo code only offers a discount on the base fare. Taxes and fees sometimes make up a substantial amount of a paid Breeze ticket, so your actual savings won’t be quite as large as the headline rate.

Savings are savings though, and Breeze flies a number of routes not served by any other airline, so this sale can make those nonstop routes even more appealing.

Unlike other airlines like Southwest, where you enter the promo code before doing your search and the search results display the lower pricing immediately, you don’t enter the promo code on Breeze’s website until the final payment screen. You’re therefore not able to see the discount until the final stage after clicking through the various upsell options (e.g., seat assignment, checked bags, etc.). It could therefore be easy to forget to enter the promo code at that late stage.

The Deal

• Beginning on October 1, 2026, it is expected that Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders who have activated their free DashPass benefits will see the current $5 monthly DoorDash in-app credit for restaurant orders increase to a $15 monthly in-app credit valid on any order type (we are not yet sure whether there will be a minimum order size to use the discount)

Quick Thoughts

This benefit change was widely reported last week, though I didn’t initially notice a confirmed source of the information. Later, I saw that Miles Talk confirmed the change with a Chase representative, so I expect that this change is coming.

As a reminder, the Sapphire Reserve card currently has the following DoorDash benefits:

• Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders can activate free DashPass through December 31, 2027 or a minimum of 12 months from the date activated (so if you activate in 2027, you’ll end up with DashPass for 12 months ending in 2028). Note that you need to activate the free DashPass benefit in order to use the coupons referenced below.
• Sapphire Reserve cardmembers with an activated DashPass benefit now receive:
  • Two promos of up to $10 off at checkout each calendar month on non-restaurant orders on DoorDash. (now requires $20 minimum order)
  • $5 monthly DoorDash in-app credit for restaurant purchases.

The change expected on October 1st affects the current $5 restaurant order discount. On October 1, 2026, we expect that monthly in-app credit to increase to $15 and be valid on any type of order (restaurant, grocery, convenience, etc). Depending on whether there will be a minimum order size (and how much it is if there is a minimum), that could be a terrific enhancement. I don’t currently bother with the DoorDash benefits at all, but I probably would use them if there were a $15 monthly discount on a restaurant order.

This looks to be great news for Sapphire Reserve cardholders. We will keep our eyes out for more details when this change occurs in October.

Quick Thoughts

ResortPass offers a wide range of access types and price points. It can get you simple access to resort facilities (like perhaps the pool / gym / etc) for daytime use, family access, cabana rental, dining credits, and more. Packages vary immensely from one location to another. The biggest downside I see is a somewhat limited footprint (though when I wrote the post about day use rates, I was suprised to find New York City hotels with rooftop pools listed on ResortPass).

Doctor of Credit now reports a $20 discount with coupon code LDW20. I expect that this discount may only be valid through today (I’m guessing that LDW is for “Labor Day Weekend”). The nice thing here is that there doesn’t appear to be any minimum spend required. For instace, I looked at the Hyatt Centric San Juan for a random day later this month and found a rate of $30 for an adult day pass that includes a $15 food and beverage credit (that second part isn’t shown here but was shown on the page before). After the coupon (and added taxes & fees), the total price comes to $14.75.

While not a true $20 off the advertised price, that’s nonetheless a solid deal to get access for the day and a $15 food & drink credit.

Note that you will find some resorts that charge even less than $20 for a day pass, but the code only applies to the fee for the day pass, not to the platform fee or taxes. So, for instance, although the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista is offering a day pass for $15 that comes to about $17 with taxes and fees, the code only takes off the $15 price of the pass. You’ll still owe $1.92 in taxes and fees. Still, a day pass for less than two bucks would be a great deal.

Obviously, this could come in handy if you’re planning a trip and need day access to a resort (either just because you are staying somewhere else or because you have an early arrival / late departure), though I could also see this being appealing if you live near a resort and just want to spend a day enjoying its facilities.

Be sure to check the terms closely as pass inclusions and access rules vary significantly from one property to another.

As always with these deals, the best option is to buy in three-card increments, as Office Depot/Max gives a $15 discount for every $300 you spend. Buying three cards means you’re spending $600, which takes off $30. Buying nine cards means you should get $90 off, but YMMV as to whether a store will let you do that.

For every three cards you buy, you’ll pay $23.85 in fees (3x$7.95), giving you a net $6.15 in profit in addition to any additional rewards. Buying nine cards at a time triples both the profit and rewards (but will likely involve an ID check to make sure that the payment that you’re using is yours).

In addition, it’s worth keeping an eye out for linked offers that might stack.

The limit is nine per customer per day in-store, although some stores may allow more. Different stores appear to have different policies regarding the variable-load cards that some Staples now sell. Some folks report that fees are waived when they purchase them…others find that they aren’t. Your mileage may vary.

The Deal

While 20,000 bonus points represent a relatively small rebate in most cases, some packages can offer decent savings compared with booking separately. This promotion could be worth a look for some.

The Deal

• Vacations by Marriott is offering Marriott Bonvoy members the opportunity to earn 20,000 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points when booking “vacations” of three nights or more in Hawaii or Mexico.

Quick Thoughts

Vacation packages don’t always offer savings, though we have sometimes seen particularly notable deals, usually directly through airline websites. Sometimes it makes sense to book a vacation package even with a throwaway hotel or car rental to get significant savings on the flight.

Whether there’s a deal for the specific destination you have in mind will obviously vary from person to person. However, if you’re looking at booking cash rates for a hotel and revenue fares for a trip to Hawai’i or Mexico, or if you can find a route or hotel that is notably inexpensive, it might be worth looking through Vacations by Marriott both for the opportunity to save some money and potentially the opportunity to stack with this promotion.

Doctor of Credit has a good compendium of practical uses, and Nextcard has a map showing Clover/Paze restaurants with delivery (many of them free?!?) and this list that tracks Newegg items that are $10 or less.

If the recent promotion to earn additional points for purchases paid for with payment platform Paze was not yet enough to interest you in checking out the platform, there’s a new promotion out now whereby you can get $10 back on $10 or more, up to $100 back on every eligible card you have (which includes both credit and debit cards across most of the major banks and many credit unions and other financial institutions). Even Discover cards, which have been moved to Capitalone.com, are now showing as eligible for this promotion. 

The promotion now has major restrictions on the retailers and types of transactions it can be used for. Most significantly, the Paze checkout option is no longer available for gift cards via Newegg and Clover.

Also, in a saga akin to an on-and-off-again celebrity couple, Paze is once again an option for checkout on macys.com. We don’t know whether the first rollout was premature, or whether this one will be similarly short-lived. Regardless, get those single-sock purchases ready to go

I imagine that will make Paze much more popular because you can potentially earn additional points per dollar on select cards, plus get $100 back on a wide range of cards you probably already have in your wallet.

Paze is a payment platform similar to PayPal. At select merchants, you’ll see Paze as a payment option at checkout. Only a limited number of merchants accept Paze so far, but with Paze coming from the same company behind Zelle, that will likely continue to expand.

Some sites like Newegg accept Paze and sell many third-party gift cards, which could certainly make this useful. In fact, Dan’s Deals has identified a range of merchants where you can buy $10 gift cards, which will likely make this promotion useful for folks who don’t mind dealing with numerous small-denomination gift cards. I expect that some of those $10 gift cards may sell out sooner rather than later, so if you’re interested in taking advantage of this, it’s probably worth considering that list while you can. I also imagine loading your Dunkin’ account in the Dunkin’ app should work if you can check out with Paze, though I haven’t checked whether that’s possible in my app.

I did see the $10 back on $10 reflected when using Paze to check out at Newegg just now (I bought a $10 Uber gift card).

In an email from a marketing representative, City Experiences was highlighted as a participating merchant. I hadn’t heard of City Experiences before, but it appears to be a tour booking website (think Viator, but with a website that looks much less modern). Unfortunately, it seems to be available only in select cities; however, some experiences start at just over $10. You can likely find something relatively inexpensive to do if you need more ideas for using credits.

Overall, this seems like a strong incentive to try the Paze payment platform. I tend to avoid most third-party digital wallets, particularly because they sometimes interfere with card-linked offers. However, I’ll definitely check out Paze now.

Quick Thoughts

When buying third-party gift cards, you can earn 4x fuel points, saving you up to 14% on gas. To illustrate how that 14% figure is calculated, let’s say you spend $250 on gift cards during the promotion. That would earn you 1,000 fuel points, which you can redeem for $1 off per gallon on up to 35 gallons. If you can refuel to that 35-gallon limit (perhaps with a large gas tank or by refueling 2+ household vehicles at once), you’d save $35. Saving $35 on the original $250 in gift card spend amounts to a 14% discount.

If your gas tank is smaller, though, your savings won’t be as high. For example, our car holds at most 12 gallons, so we can barely save 5% on gas through these promotions, given how much we spend on gift cards. You can often get better gift card discounts through sites like Raise, so weigh your options before buying at full price from Kroger or its affiliates, such as Dillons, King Soopers, Ralphs, Fry’s, or Smith’s.

You can earn 4x fuel points on gift cards purchased online or in-store, though there are a couple of important differences between the two. If you’re buying in-store, you’ll need to load the digital coupons to your account first, whereas you’ll automatically earn 4x fuel points when buying gift cards online from Kroger.

Another thing to keep in mind is that buying gift cards in-store lets you take advantage of the many cards offering bonus spend at grocery stores right now. Kroger’s online gift card site processes payments through Blackhawk Network (the owner of GiftCards.com), so those online orders don’t count as grocery purchases.

Quick Thoughts

For those unfamiliar, Bask Bank offers a savings account that earns American Airlines AAdvantage miles instead of interest. The current earning rate is 1.75 miles earned per dollar saved per year. In other words, if you save $10,000 in a Bask Bank account for one year, you’d earn 17,500 American Airlines miles (and that can repeat year after year). You do receive a 1099, but since Bask has only valued the miles at 0.42c per mile, this could be a better deal than earning interest in cash (provided that you value the miles more highly).

The current bonus offer is 20,000 miles for customers who open a new Mileage Savings account, deposit $50K by November 30th, 2026, and maintain the funds in the account for 90 out of 120 consecutive days:

The bonus miles here should post within 10 business days after all conditions are met — so in other words, expect to receive the bonus around 10 business days after you’ve reached the 90-day mark since depositing your funds.

Assuming Bask keeps the 0.42c-per-mile valuation, that seems like a pretty good deal if you’re planning to hold $50,000 in cash during that time anyway (and it may make sense at amounts greater or less than $50K; I just used that number as an example).

I can certainly understand that some will prefer high-yield accounts and/or investing in the market, etc. However, for American Airlines fans who will keep cash on hand anyway, this could be appealing.

Quick Thoughts

This is an excellent offer if you have it on any of your cards, as it’s usually difficult to save or earn significant amounts when paying for Airbnb stays. You can sometimes buy their gift cards at a 10% discount, but the best of these Amex Offers can save you up to 15%.

The offer expires on October 20th, but you can easily use it to book a stay after that date to lock in the savings or bonus. Last I knew, Airbnb gift card purchases didn’t trigger Amex Offers. If someone discovers that they do, leave a comment and I’ll update this post.
