My Chase cards have the 10% version of the offer, while my wife’s have the 5% version. In both cases, the cashback is limited to $90 in spend, but we each have it on multiple cards, which will allow us to get the cashback several times.

I was targeted for 10% back on some of my cards, while my wife was targeted for 5% back on hers. Both of our offers are valid for our local Kroger Brand, Fred Meyer, so I imagine there will be similar offers at other Kroger-affiliate brands like Ralphs, King Soopers, Fry’s, Smith’s, etc.

A great feature of Chase Offers is that, unlike Amex, they can be added to multiple cards. My wife and I each have several targeted cards, so although the cashback on each card is capped at $90 in spend, we’ll be able to get multiple “bites at the apple” by splitting the spend and using different cards.

Note that buying gift cards from Kroger online won’t trigger the offer, as payment is processed by Blackhawk Network rather than by Kroger itself.

Quick Thoughts

For most people targeted for both offers, the Amex Offer will be the more rewarding, as it has a lower minimum spend and more cash back. The Citi Offer, on the other hand, is a flat $25 statement credit, and only when you spend $250 or more.

That said, this could be a both/and deal rather than either/or. If your stay costs more than $450, you could ask the Caesars property to split the payment with $250 on your Citi card and the remainder on your Amex card (or vice versa).

Do note that the Amex Offer is only valid at Caesars locations in Las Vegas, Reno, Lake Tahoe, and Atlantic City. If you’ll be staying at a US-located Caesars property outside of those cities, the Citi Offer will be the card-linked offer you’ll want to use.

The most important thing to be aware of with this Amex Offer is that it’s only valid for flights originating in the US, so booking, say, a one-way flight from the UK back to the US won’t work to trigger the statement credit.

What will presumably work is paying taxes and fees for an award flight that originates in the US, whether one-way or round-trip. Virgin’s taxes and fees can be pretty high; for example, you’re looking at paying ~$700 to fly from New York to London in business class (which Virgin Atlantic calls Upper Class). That means that for a family of three, you’d easily hit that $2,000 spending threshold on a one-way flight. If booking round-trip award flights with Virgin, you’d easily hit that $2,000 threshold with only two passengers.

This will, of course, also work on regular paid flights from the US to the UK and beyond if traveling onward with Virgin.

Quick Thoughts

IHG seems to run these targeted promos every year, though usually it’s for a maximum of 10 bonus nights instead of 5. It can be useful even if you’re not interested in earning IHG elite night credits, thanks to the Milestone Rewards feature IHG launched a few years ago.

Starting at 20 elite night credits, you can pick rewards for every 10 nights you stay, with benefits including bonus points, food & beverage credits, confirmable suite upgrade awards, and lounge access.

As mentioned, this appears to be a targeted promotion, so there’s no guarantee that you’ll be eligible for this offer. It’s worth trying to register, though, just in case.

Note that only paid nights costing $30+ before taxes and fees are eligible, so award nights and Points & Cash rates won’t earn the double elite night credits.

In case you’re not familiar with Global Getaways, it’s a feature that Alaska Airlines launched a couple of years ago under its old Mileage Plan loyalty program (now Atmos Rewards). Every quarter, six destinations worldwide become bookable for a discounted number of points compared to the normal rate. Something particularly notable is that the discount applies to award bookings on partner airlines, not to Alaska Airlines metal.

This month’s deals are pretty good, especially when factoring in the cash cost of many flights right now. For example, flying to Europe from 15,000 points (Helsinki) is a great deal, as is Paris for 20k. Mexico City for only 7,500 points each way is particularly tempting for me, as it’s one of my favorite cities in North America.

Remember, you earn Status Points towards Atmos elite status on award bookings, and these reduced Global Getaways fares are no exception.

Bookings are open for two months, between October 16th and December 16th. November is usually considered the wettest time of the year in Tsavo West National Park, where the lodge is located, so aiming for late October is probably the best bet for good weather.

It’s worth noting that Virgin has run a 30-40% transfer bonus from Chase Ultimate Rewards between May and June the last four years in a row. We didn’t see one in May this year; it could be delayed or it just won’t happen. If it does, it could be great use of your Ultimate Rewards points.

Quick Thoughts

There are a few things to unpack here. For starters, the 100,000 redemption covers the cost for two people to visit and includes the following:

• Stay in a luxury tent
• All meals
• All drinks (including alcohol)
• Twice-daily game drives
• Transfer to and from the Finch Hattons’ private airstrip

Redemptions normally cost 190,000 points per night, and the cash rate appears to be ~$2,800 per night, so you’d be getting good value from your points, even if it is a large number of points to drop per night. Bear in mind, though, that you’re not only getting accommodation – all your food and drink is included, as are two game drives each day that you’re there.

You do have to get yourself to Finch Hattons, though. The Virgin Limited Edition website recommends flying into Wilson Airport in Nairobi, then getting a scheduled or charter flight from there. One airline that flies that route is Safarilink; one-way flights cost $265 each way, but a round trip is a little cheaper at $425. The site also mentions that it’s possible to drive from Nairobi in ~4 hours.

Another thing to be aware of is that you’d be booking through Virgin Red rather than Virgin Atlantic. If you only have a Virgin Atlantic account, you’ll need to create a Virgin Red account and link the two. You’ll then be able to use your Virgin Atlantic points for Virgin Red bookings.

An 8% statement credit isn’t a huge return, but it’s a decent enough offer considering there’s no minimum spend requirement and so it’s valid on cheap activities too.

With a limit of $10 total cashback, you’ll max this out when spending $125 across one or two transactions. If you’ll be booking a more expensive activity for two or more people and you have the offer on more than one credit card, you could book the tickets separately in order to take advantage of multiple statement credits.

Seeing as this is a card-linked spending offer, it’ll stack nicely with shopping portal rewards. Viator and TripAdvisor Experiences are often available at high portal rates, especially through Capital One Shopping where you can often get targeted for rates of 20%-35% back.

The terms state that you have to book stays at hotels.com/amex. With similar Amex Offers for Expedia, I believe that requirement has been enforced, but please let us know in the comments if that doesn’t end up being the case with this Amex Offer.

It might still be possible to earn shopping portal rewards with this offer, but I’m not certain about either of the following options. One option that might work is to click through to Hotels.com from a portal, then change the URL in the address bar to hotels.com/amex.

Another option would be to go directly to hotels.com/amex and use a shopping portal’s browser extension. However, be aware that the terms of the Amex Offer specifically exclude the use of browser extensions; whether that’s actually enforced though is another matter.

Be sure to book a prepaid rate as rates where you pay at the hotel won’t trigger the Amex Offer. There might be rates that still offer some kind of flexibility/refundability despite being a prepaid rate, but that’ll likely differ from property to property.

A different Hotels.com Amex Offer showed up for targeted cardholders a few months ago. That one awards 10X bonus Membership Rewards points on Hotels.com reservations, also on up to $1,000 of spend. If you were targeted for both of these offers on the same card, that’d be awesome as you’d then be able to get both the 10% statement credit as well as 10X Membership Rewards, on top of the card’s regular earnings.

If you book a hotel stay through AARP’s travel portal, you’ll be forgoing the opportunity to earn hotel points, receive elite status benefits, earn elite night credits, etc. by booking with the hotel chain directly. However, if the booking would be for a chain where that’s not a concern, or if it’s for an independent property, getting a $50 gift card free might be a better reward than is available through shopping portals, rewards via Expedia’s own OneKey program, etc.

The $50 gift card is a Tango card which appears to be a multi-brand gift card that’s administered by Blackhawk Network (the company behind Giftcards.com, CashStar, and more.) Based on this landing page, it looks like they can be redeemed for nearly every gift card brand under the sun; that includes travel brands like Airbnb, Delta, Southwest, Best Western, and more. It also looks like you can redeem them for Visa or Mastercard gift cards, as well as a transfer to your PayPal account, although perhaps the version you get from this promotion has restricted redemption options. If those latter redemptions are available, that makes the reward as good as cash.

There’s a targeted AARP Chase Offer giving $8 back, but I doubt it’ll work with this as I think the statement credit for that only gets triggered by AARP memberships nowadays. I also doubt that a hotel booking will trigger the statement credit for the Expedia Amex Offer for prepaid hotel stays, but perhaps you’ll get lucky.

Quick Thoughts

This partnership will have limited usefulness as it’s only valid when staying at Wyndham properties. It could be useful in those circumstances though seeing as many Wyndham brands don’t have a restaurant on-site, so getting free delivery and 10X points certainly isn’t a bad deal if Applebee’s is something you’d have been considering anyway. Earning an additional 2,500 points for your first order is decent value too. If you were to order $50 worth of Applebee’s for the first time, you’d earn a total of 3,000 points based on the 10X + 2,500 bonus points.

Note that you have to link your Wyndham Rewards and Club Applebee’s accounts; you’ll need to register for a free Club Applebee’s account if you’re not already a member. Also note that the order has to be placed in the Wyndham app. I’m not entirely sure where that’s found in the app as I don’t have any Wyndham stays in the US, but I suspect that if you open the app during your stay it’ll either show up on the home page, or if you click into your current stay details. As a result, it doesn’t seem like there’s a workaround whereby you could order Applebee’s to be delivered free to a Wyndham property near your home and you pick it up there in order to earn the 10X points.

Quick Thoughts

The last Turo Amex Offer gave 20% back on up to $150 of spend. That was helpful if you were booking a cheap rental as there was no minimum spending threshold. This latest offer though does require a minimum $150 booking, the same as the Chase Offer and Citi Offer.

Bear in mind that Turo isn’t a conventional car rental company. That means your payment card(s) likely don’t provide cover for the rental like they might with rental companies like National, Avis, Hertz, etc. Turo will have coverage options during the booking process.

Quick Thoughts

This is a pretty good promotion, especially if you’re a Wyndham cardholder or a Wyndham Rewards insider member.

The downside is that you have to stay at least two consecutive nights in order to earn any bonus points; two separate stays of one night don’t count. However, earning 7,500 bonus points after a two night stay, 12,500 points after a three night stay, or 15,000 points after a stay of four or more nights is decently rewarding in and of itself.

If you have a Wyndham credit or debit card, you’ll then earn an additional 7,500 bonus points if you pay for your stay with that card. Simply being a cardholder isn’t enough; the stay has to be paid for with that card.

If you’re a Wyndham Rewards Insider member—Wyndham’s subscription service—you can also earn 7,500 bonus points. Note that your total earnings from this promotion are capped at 30,000 bonus points. That means that if you’re a Wyndham Rewards Insider member and you have a Wyndham credit card, you can earn a total of 30,000 points. However, if you’re a Wyndham Rewards Insider member and a debit card holder, you’ll be capped at 22,500 points. Similarly, if you’re a credit card and debit card holder but not a Wyndham Rewards Insider member, you’re also capped at 22,500 points.

This is a rare hotel promotion that might actually be mattress run-worthy if you’re eligible for the additional 7,500 bonus points. It wouldn’t be worth shooting for the three or four night bonus as the incremental benefit would be limited versus what you’d be paying for the room, nor would it be worth booking a two night stay just for the sake of it. However, if you happen to be booking a cheap one night stay at a Wyndham property anyway—perhaps a quick overnight stop on a road trip somewhere—it could be worth adding a second night even if you don’t plan to stay that second night.

For example, let’s say the hotel costs $75 per night and you’d be staying there for that one night anyway. Booking that second night for $75 would earn you the following:

• 500 additional base points*
• 7,500 bonus points from this promotion for it being a two night stay
• 7,500 bonus points for being a cardholder or Wyndham Rewards Insider member
• Total = 15,500 points

* You earn 10x base points on stays which Wyndham rounds up to 1,000 points per stay if you’d earn less than that. On a $75 one night stay, you’d therefore have your points earnings boosted to 1,000 points. On a $75 per night stay for two nights, you’d earn 1,500 points, so the difference in this particular scenario would be an additional 500 points rather than an additional 750 points.

If you’re both a Wyndham Rewards Insider member and a credit card holder, you’ll also earn an additional 7,500 points for a total of 23,000 points.

Earning 15,500 points in return for spending an additional $75 is like buying Wyndham points for 0.48 cents per point which is a decent opportunity. If you were to earn 23,000 points, that would be like buying points for 0.33 cents per point. Adding a second night would also have the added benefit of acting like a de facto late checkout if you need it.

Quick Thoughts

Our Reasonable Redemption Value for Best Western Rewards points is 0.61 cents per point. That means 2,500 points are worth ~$15 which is a pretty good return per night, especially because you’ll earn an additional 1,000 bonus points per night provided you also register for this promotion before booking.

The downside is that there’s a limited stay period for earning these bonus points. Best Western is running this promotion to incentivize stays with them over the country’s 250th birthday, so it’s only valid for stays from July 1-7.

In addition to the rewards from these promotions, you can earn additional rewards when clicking through from a shopping portal. You can find the current rates here and here. It’s also worth browsing the Best Western website before booking with the Capital One Shopping browser extension installed. Capital One Shopping sometimes sends out targeted promotions via email of 20%-30% for Best Western which is far better than current rates through other shopping portals.

If you have any American Express cards, also keep an eye out for a targeted Best Western Amex Offer which is giving $50 back when spending $250.

The eligible new properties were previously bookable for three months ahead of time. Since March 2026 though, IHG has extended the booking window, allowing you to make reservations for the new locations up to six months in advance.

Quick Thoughts

A lot of the new IHG hotels—particularly in the US—aren’t very inspiring seeing as many are for brands like Garner, Candlewood Suites, Holiday Inn Express, etc. However, I find it’s always worth perusing the new lists because there are sometimes hotels that could be of interest.

For example, in Mexico there’s a new all-inclusive Iberostar property in Cancun.

In the US there are a couple of new Kimpton properties—the Kimpton Ashbel New York Park Avenue and the Kimpton Hotel Monaco Philadelphia. China gets the InterContinental Huzhou Taihu South, Germany gets a couple of new Ruby hotels (a brand IHG recently bought), while Dublin, Ireland also has a new Ruby.

There are lots of other new hotels, so it’s worth checking the list to see if any can save you points on upcoming stays.

Quick Thoughts

A $25 Uber gift card isn’t a huge incentive, but it’s a nice little bonus if you were planning on buying a Delta gift card anyway.

It can be made even better if you were targeted for an Amex Offer that’s only available for Delta cardholders. That Delta gift card Amex Offer is awarding five additional SkyMiles per dollar spent on Delta gift cards, on up to $2,000 of gift cards. That means buying a $300 Delta gift card while paying with a card with that Amex Offer would earn you 1,800 SkyMiles (1X base plus 5X bonus), as well as a $25 Uber gift card.

That might make it more worthwhile if you know you’ll be booking paid Delta flights, but bear in mind that paying with a gift card might mean you’d be forgoing travel protections had you paid for the flight with a credit card. Also be aware that you can’t use Delta gift cards to pay for taxes/fees on award flights.

Quick Thoughts

If you have one of these cards in mind, these bonuses can be a terrific deal, although it might be possible to do better via referrals.

In the past, Bank of America didn’t provide rewards for existing cardholders referring other people to new cards. That recently changed on a targeted basis, so you might be able to earn $100 cashback by referring your partner (or vice versa). On the Chase side, if you have a household member who’s able to refer you, you should check for a referral offer because it might make more sense to go through your household member’s referral link. Either way, stacking additional cash back or Bilt points on top of one of these welcome offers can be a really nice enhancement.

Keep in mind that these offers can and do change frequently. We don’t know how long these offers will last, nor if they’ll increase or decrease in the coming days.

Award pricing was all over the place depending on the origin and destination airports. In at least one case though, I find wide open award availability for at least four people from the US to Europe from June to August 2026 and again from January to March 2027, something that’s notoriously hard to find usually with Flying Blue.

I’d found that availability out of New York, but the pricing depended on where you’re flying to in Europe. For example, if you just want a nonstop business class award to Paris (Air France’s hub) in February, you’re looking at having to redeem at least 170,500 miles.

If you were to fly through Paris or Amsterdam on the way to Dublin, the pricing drops to a still-high 101,000 miles one way in February.

If you instead wished to fly to London in February, it’s possible to get that for 67,000 miles. Unfortunately that’s on one solitary day at the start of the month, with everything else that month being 138,000+ miles. As you can see in the screenshot below though, every month from January to May has at least one day bookable for 67,000 miles which isn’t much higher than the standard business class award pricing of 60,000 miles.

It’s on flights to Newcastle where the availability and pricing really shines though. I’d searched this as it’s the closest “major” airport to where we live and I couldn’t believe how many days in February had at least one flight bookable for only 60,000 miles—that’s only 48,000 Membership Rewards with the current Amex transfer bonus. January and March had similar availability too.

I figured there might only be availability for one person, but that’s not the case. Here’s the availability for two people (note that the award calendar displays the total cost for two people, so 120,000 miles is the total cost for two people).

But what if you have a family of four you need to book for? Good news—there’s availability for four people for 60% of that month. The taxes and fees would total more than $1,000 which would mean you could take advantage of this Amex Offer that’s awarding 20,000 bonus Membership Rewards if you’re targeted.

All the 60K award availability that I found routed through Paris rather than Amsterdam. Seeing as you’d be flying on Air France metal rather than KLM, it would sadly mean you wouldn’t get a Delft house, but that’s a minor disappointment in the grand scheme of things.

I wasn’t able to find other cities with wide open 60K pricing, but I only checked just over half a dozen cities. Air France and KLM have such a massive route network that I wouldn’t be surprised if there were other opportunities out there.

The screenshots in this post use February as an example as that’s where I was tending to find slightly more reasonable pricing to other cities, but there’s excellent availability from June through August this year too from New York to Newcastle.

In case you’re not familiar with Newcastle, it’s a city in the northeast of England. It’s only a 2.5 hour drive to Edinburgh in Scotland, or a 1.5 hour train ride that can cost less than $35. You can also take a train down to London in about 3-3.5 hours (it’s a ~5-6 hour drive), or a car or train to Liverpool in 3.5 hours. If you’d like to check out the beautiful Lake District, that’s a 1.5-2 hour drive from Newcastle. This award availability could therefore be a good option if you want to explore the UK and don’t mind traveling a bit from the airport you arrive at.

Flying Blue launched a new set of Promo Rewards yesterday which gives an opportunity to book economy awards between many US cities and Europe for 18,750 miles one way. With this 25% transfer bonus, you’d only need to transfer 15,000 Membership Rewards points per person.

If you can find business class awards at standard pricing between the US and Europe, the 60,000 miles you’ll need per person would only require 48,000 Membership Rewards points to be transferred. While 60K business class awards can be pretty hard to come by with Flying Blue, there is a surprising amount of availability out of New York from January to March 2027 right now to some cities.

Bear in mind that Flying Blue awards come with somewhat high taxes and fees. You might be able to mitigate some of that impact if you’re targeted for this Amex Offer that awards 20,000 bonus Membership Rewards points when spending $1,000. Note that the Amex Offer is only valid for flights departing the US, so it’s not helpful for one way awards departing Europe.

The Deal

• Get 25% bonus United miles when converting hotel points to your MileagePlus account.

• To qualify for this offer, members must register for the promotion between June 1, 2026 and 11:59pm EST on June 30, 2026.
• A member must earn award miles as a result of one or more points to miles conversion transactions from any combination of MileagePlus hotel partner programs that offer a points to miles transfer program that are conducted during the Promotional Period (“Qualifying Activity”) in order to qualify for MileagePlus Hotel Points-to-Miles bonus miles (“Bonus Miles”). Qualifying Activity must be completed by 11:59pm EST on June 30, 2026.
• At the conclusion of the promotion, all miles earned by each member from Qualifying Activity will be multiplied by 25% to determine the eligible bonus up to a maximum of 25,000 bonus miles. Bonus miles will be credited into the member’s account on or before January 31, 2027. The maximum bonus miles that can be earned by a member under this promotion is 25,000.

Quick Thoughts

United runs a promotion like this every year, although the transfer bonus percentage differs from year to year. Last year it was 25%, but for several years before that it was 30%. Somewhat interestingly, United normally runs this kind of promotion in September or October, so this latest iteration has shown up a few months earlier than usual.

This promotion isn’t going to be worth it for transfers from the vast majority of hotel programs, although there are a couple of potential exceptions. One is if you have orphaned points in a hotel program where they’ll expire before you’re likely to redeem them and you don’t consider it worth ensuring there’s some kind of other activity on your account to keep those points alive.

The other exception is Marriott. Every three Marriott Bonvoy points you transfer convert to one airline mile in a wide variety of programs, one of which is United. For every 60,000 Marriott points you transfer to airlines, you get 5,000 bonus miles (i.e. 60,000 points becomes 25,000 miles). Marriott has a partnership with United that enhances that bonus to 10,000 miles, so every 60,000 Marriott Bonvoy points transferred becomes 30,000 MileagePlus miles.

This 25% bonus makes that transfer ratio even better, although it’s only calculated on the base transfer rather than the additional 10,000 bonus miles you get for every 60,000 points transferred. That means that with this latest promotion, transferring 60,000 Marriott points will get you 35,000 United MileagePlus miles. That’s certainly not a no-brainer transaction, but it might make sense if you have an abundance of Marriott points and have a high value United redemption in mind.

There’s another potential future scenario where this transfer bonus could be of interest and that’s when transferring Wyndham Rewards points. Last year, Wyndham ran a concurrent promotion with United’s 25% bonus that awarded a 100% bonus on transferred points. That gave an effective transfer ratio of two Wyndham points for every one United mile. There’s no such Wyndham 100% bonus right now, but perhaps we’ll see one before the month is up.

Before transferring any kind of hotel points though, be aware that you could be waiting for the bonus miles for a looooooooong time. The terms state that “Bonus miles will be credited into the member’s account on or before January 31, 2027.” That’ll be the 25% bonus miles, rather than the standard amount of miles you’ll initially get from the transfer. Still, that’s a ridiculously long delay if that’s how long it actually takes for the bonus miles to be awarded. I find it hard to believe that’ll be how long it takes, so hopefully the bonus miles show up sooner than that; please let us know in the comments if you take advantage of this transfer bonus and the bonus miles appear immediately.

For what it’s worth, when United ran this same promotion last year, the offer ran from October 1-31, 2025 and the terms stated that the bonus miles would be awarded by January 31, 2026. I suspect they simply updated the year in the terms from 2026 to 2027, without taking into account that the deal is running four months earlier than in 2025. If there was a similar delay to last year, that would mean the bonus miles would be credited by September 30, 2026—a similar three month wait after the offer ends. That’s pure speculation on my part though; perhaps United can only be bothered to reconcile bonuses from these transfers once per year and they’re fixated on a January 31 date.
