For every three nights that you stay at a (fairly extensive) list of participating hotels and resorts between 1/1/27 and 3/31/27, you’ll earn a free night award, up to a total of five. Sounds simple, right?

There are two catches, however. First, you have to register for the promo by 9/30/26, three months before the first eligible stay can take place. More significantly, the free nights that you earn from the promotion are only valid until 6/20/27, meaning you might have as little as three months to use them once they’re in your account.

Quick Thoughts

There are just over 100 properties participating in this promotion. While the lion’s share are all-inclusives (because that’s the majority of Hyatt’s footprint in Mexico and the Caribbean), there is also a smattering of normal hotels like Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Centric, and the Unbound Collection.

On the surface, getting a free night for every three nights that you stay is an excellent promotion; after all, the awards can be used for a property costing up to 25,000 points per night now that Hyatt’s using a new award chart.

The main issue is the expiry. Normally, Hyatt-issued free night awards are valid for six months from the date of issue, an irritating policy in and of itself. However, these free night certificates have a hard expiration date of June 30th, regardless of when you earn them. The terms say that it could take 2-3 weeks to receive the award (it will probably be faster), so if your stay isn’t completed until the end of March, you could have less than three months to use your promo award. ¡No me gusta!

The other weird facet of this promo is that there’s such a long gap between registration and when the promotion actually starts, somewhere between 3 and 4 months. I imagine at least some folks won’t read all the way and assume that nights that they’re spending in November and December are going to count.

All that said, if you’re already planning to be in the area (which many are between January and March) and can use the certificates before June, it could be a very good promo, especially since award nights count towards it and paid nights will still earn normal rewards as usual on your stays.

Lufthansa Miles can be surprisingly valuable; we’ve seen economy fares between Europe and the US for 88 miles, business class for as few as 10K, and its monthly promos can be excellent. That said, over the last couple of years, we’ve seen an 80K offer come around regularly, and the bonus has been as high as 100K (although not since 2023).

I have a decent stash of Lufthansa Miles from a booking.com promo a couple of years ago, and one of the big headaches of the program is that miles have a hard expiration date of ~3 years, unless you have elite status OR the credit card. Given that, I’ll eventually get this card and always have an eye on the welcome offer so that I can protect my existing miles while adding some additional heft to my “buying” power with a welcome bonus.

However, Miles & More is still a relatively niche program for many North Americans, since it doesn’t partner with any of the major transferable currencies besides Rove. That makes this credit card, or actually crediting flights to Lufthansa, your main method of topping off your miles. It goes without saying that this would be slow going at 1x unless you are a heavy spender (and if you are, you probably shouldn’t be using this card). As I noted above, Lufthansa does have some very good sweet spots, but for most folks there won’t be many ways to easily replenish the coffers after going through the miles from the initial welcome offer, outside of transferring from Rove.

If the recent promotion to earn additional points for purchases paid for with payment platform Paze was not yet enough to interest you in checking out the platform, there’s a new promotion out now whereby you can get $10 back on $10 or more, up to $100 back on every eligible card you have (which includes both credit and debit cards across most of the major banks and many credit unions and other financial institutions). Even Discover cards, which have been moved to Capitalone.com, are now showing as eligible for this promotion. 

There are now some major restrictions on the retailers and types of transactions that this promotion can be used for now. Most significantly, the Paze checkout option is no longer available for gift cards via Newegg and Clover.

I imagine that will make Paze wildly more popular because not only do you have the opportunity to potentially earn additional points per dollar on select cards, but you have the opportunity to get $100 back on a wide range of cards that you probably already have in your wallet.

Paze is a payment platform similar to PayPal. At select merchants, during checkout, you’ll see Paze as a payment method option. Only a limited number of merchants accept Paze so far, but with Paze coming from the same company behind Zelle, that will likely continue to expand.

Some sites like Newegg accept Paze and sell many third-party gift cards, which could certainly make this useful. In fact, Dan’s Deals has identified a range of merchants for whom it is possible to purchase $10 gift cards, which will surely make this promotion very useful for folks who don’t mind dealing with numerous small-denomination gift cards. I expect that some of those $10 gift cards may sell out sooner rather than later, so if you’re interested in taking advantage of this, it’s probably worth considering that list while you can. I also imagine that loading your Dunkin’ account in the Dunkin’ app should work if you’re able to check out with Paze, though I haven’t checked to see if that’s possible in my app.

I did see the $10 back on $10 reflected when using Paze to check out at Newegg just now (I bought a $10 Uber gift card).

In an email from a marketing representative, City Experiences was highlighted as a participating merchant. I hadn’t heard of City Experiences before, but it appears to be a tour booking website (think Viator, but with a website that looks much less modern). Unfortunately, it seems to only be available in select cities; however, there are experiences that start at just over $10. It’s certainly possible that you’ll find something relatively inexpensive to do if you need additional ideas for using credits.

Overall, this certainly seems like quite an incentive to give the Paze payment platform a try. I tend to avoid most third-party digital wallets, particularly because they sometimes interfere with card-linked offers. However, I’ll certainly be checking Paze out now.

Quick Thoughts

Based on the data points that I’m seeing, this appears to be a widely-targeted offer. My wife and I each had it, but it only showed up on our personal Platinum cards. This is an easy one to take advantage of, even though it’s only valid online. There aren’t a ton of excluded products, and you can reach the $60 threshold in multiple transactions.

Capital One is out with a whole slew of new, very tempting merchant deals that are effectively giving 50%+ back on modest purchase amounts when you click through the offer on your credit card profile.

The deals I am seeing on my account are primarily 1,000 miles back on $20+ in purchases, 1,500 miles back on $30 in purchases, or 2,000 miles back on $40 in purchases. Current retailers include: Sam’s Club, CVS, Home Depot, Lyft, Priceline, Staples, Hotels.com, and many more. Folks with cash back cards may see dollar amounts instead of miles.

The miles that you earn can be redeemed towards travel purchases at a rate of 1 cent per point or transferred to one of Capital One’s transfer partners for even more value (we currently value Capital One miles at 1.45 cents each).

Quick Thoughts

You must have a Capital One card to be eligible for Capital One Offers, unlike the Capital One Shopping portal, which anyone can use. However, it still functions more or less like any other shopping portal, where you click a link and make your purchase.

Capital One specifically states that you can use a non-Capital One card online and receive the incentive. However, we have heard from numerous folks over the years who have had issues getting the offer fulfilled when they used another bank’s card if the offer doesn’t track. In-store, you must use the Capital One card that you added the offer to in order to trigger it.

This has the potential to be a great deal, especially given the low purchase thresholds required. Most of the terms exclude gift cards. I have no idea if, as often happens with Chase or Amex Offers, you’ll still be able to trigger the offers with an in-store gift card purchase, but I’d avoid doing it online (I’d love to hear others’ experiences in the comments).

Quick Thoughts

At first glance, this offer doesn’t look very strong, given that you can transfer to Aeroplan from all of the major transferable currencies. If you’re after 100,000 Aeroplan points, there are a multitude of ways to get there with far less than $20K spend.

On the other hand, the Aeroplan card certainly has some appeal. With $15K spend, you can keep 25K status, and the card earns 3x at grocery stores and on dining, plus 500 points with each $2K spent up to $6K per month. Given all that, it certainly isn’t an unreasonable card to use for those categories.

If you would already consider using this as a primary grocery and/or dining card, then meeting the $20K spend in the first 12 months to unlock the second piece of the bonus may be simple, and that additional bonus is essentially gravy.

Keep in mind that Air Canada elite status offers expanded award availability and better pricing on flights operated by Air Canada. Additionally, Chase Aeroplan cardholders can currently redeem Aeroplan points to “pay yourself back” for travel purchases at a value of 1.25c per point. That could certainly have a large draw, and it makes the bonus categories potentially even more appealing.

I’m a big fan of the Aeroplan program and Aeroplan points, but as noted above, there are lots of other ways to earn Aeroplan points. Amex has continued to provide opportunities for excellent welcome bonuses, so for the time being, I think I would be more likely to continue to keep an eye out for their no lifetime language offers.

Quick Thoughts

IHG seems to run these targeted promos every year, though usually it’s for a maximum of 10 bonus nights instead of 5. It can be useful even if you’re not interested in earning IHG elite night credits, thanks to the Milestone Rewards feature IHG launched a few years ago.

Starting at 20 elite night credits, you can pick rewards for every 10 nights you stay, with benefits including bonus points, food & beverage credits, confirmable suite upgrade awards, and lounge access.

As mentioned, this appears to be a targeted promotion, so there’s no guarantee that you’ll be eligible for this offer. It’s worth trying to register, though, just in case.

Note that only paid nights costing $30+ before taxes and fees are eligible, so award nights and Points & Cash rates won’t earn the double elite night credits.

While that’s the lowest rate that Hilton sells its points for, note that our Reasonable Redemption Value for Hilton points is now only 0.35 cpp, so only buy them if you know for sure that you’ll get good value out of them.

Best Uses for Hilton Points

• 5th night free. Use points to book 5 nights for the price of 4. This benefit is valid on longer stays, so if staying 10 nights, you’ll get both the 5th and 10th nights free. Hilton status is required to take advantage of this benefit, but you can get that with the no-annual-fee Hilton credit card.
• Save money on low category hotels. Hilton hotel awards start at 5,000 points per night, but those can be very difficult to find. 10,000- and 15,000-point properties are more common.  These would cost $50 or $75 when booked with purchased points when Hilton is offering a 100% bonus, or less if using the 5th night free benefit.
• Stay at high-end properties for less. Most of Hilton’s top-tier properties top out at 150,000 points per night for a standard room, although some go as high as 250,000 points. When points are being sold with a 100% bonus, 150,000 points would cost you $750, which isn’t cheap, but it is less than the cash rate at many properties charging that many points.
• Pool points with up to 10 other members. Hilton allows members to create a pool with up to 10 people to share points back and forth. This makes the effective purchase limit much higher when combining forces with other members.

Things to Know About Hilton Points

• When you book nights with points, you will not earn points for the stay unless Hilton is running a promotion that awards bonus points per night/stay, which includes award nights.
• Most hotel taxes are not charged on award stays, so this can make the value of buying points even better. Arguably, this factor and the one above roughly cancel each other out.
• Resort and destination fees are waived on award stays. This alone can make it worthwhile to use points instead of cash for your bookings.

It’s a good rebate on $350 spend as it gets you just over 20% back. It’s also helpful that it’s valid on cumulative spend, so if you have two or more cheaper rentals, you’ll still earn the $75 statement credit provided those multiple rentals total at least $350.

Note that only Corporate-owned locations are eligible, plus it’s only valid on rentals in the US.

Quick Thoughts

50,000 bonus points is a great reward seeing as it’s rare to get an opportunity to earn points/miles when taking out a new mortgage or refinancing an existing one.

A key thing to bear in mind is that it’s not going to be worth going after this offer if Rate.com’s interest rate and/or fees mean that your repayments would cost more than the value of the points compared to what’s available to you through another lender.

What’s particularly nice about this offer is that it doesn’t appear to be an “up to” 50,000 points offer, whereby you earn 1 mile for every, say, $10 you borrow. Instead, it seems to be a 50,000 point lump sum regardless of how much you borrow. That could make it particularly enticing for someone who’s refinancing with a low remaining balance on their mortgage. Again though, make sure the rewards are worth the fees you’d be paying for doing that.

Be aware that Rate.com is one of Alaska Airline’s shopping partners where you don’t earn Status Points on a 3:1 basis. That means that although you’ll earn 50,000 redeemable Atmos Rewards points, you won’t also receive 16,667 Status Points.

In case you’re not familiar with SimplyMiles, it’s a program that awards both redeemable American Airlines AAdvantage miles and Loyalty Points towards elite status in the AAdvantage program when paying with a linked card. It’s important to be aware that you can only link Mastercard credit cards, although they don’t have to be American Airlines Mastercards—they can be any type of Mastercard.

This particular offer is valid at the Giant Food chain that has stores in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C. There’s a separate Giant grocery store chain that’s owned by the same parent company, but which has a different logo and operates in different states to those listed above (Pennsylvania is one of those other states). The eligible Giant chain has the logo in the screenshot above.

The terms state that you can use this offer up to two times, with a limit of 465 miles and 465 Loyalty Points. I’m not sure if that means you can earn up to 465 miles and 465 Loyalty Points in each transaction, or if that’s the total cap across two transactions. If you’ve taken advantage of this or a similar offer before, please let us know in the comments below how that worked.

There are sometimes Citi Offers for Giant too. Citi Offers don’t stack with SimplyMiles offers—you can only use one or the other. Sometimes when you activate a SimplyMiles offer, the Citi Offer disappears and vice versa. As a result, it’s best to load/activate whichever offer you’re interested in first, which is particularly important if you use a service like CardPointers which autoloads Citi Offers.

Seeing as Giant Food is a grocery store, the best card to pay with will generally be one that offers bonus rewards on grocery spend like the Citi Strata Premier℠ card, or perhaps the IHG One Rewards Premier credit card if you were targeted for the 7X spending offer this quarter as that’s also a Mastercard.

The $75 gift card you get is a Tango Card. That’s a multi-brand gift card that can be redeemed for gift cards for most major gift card brands, as well as for Visa and Mastercard gift cards, and cashout via PayPal. That means the $75 is effectively as good as cash, thereby giving you $25 per night rebate if booking a three night stay.

Bear in mind that bookings through AARP/Expedia will be classed as an Online Travel Agency (OTA) booking. That means that you won’t earn elite night credits, won’t earn hotel points, and you won’t receive elite status benefits. This type of offer is therefore best used for stays at independent hotels, when you don’t care about earning hotel points, where elite benefits don’t matter (e.g. the stay would be at a hotel brand that offers free breakfast to all guests), etc.

This Citi Offer can save you up to 23% on a Hertz rental which is a decent return, but be sure to note that it’s only valid on a single transaction costing $325 or more; cumulative spend of $325+ across two or more rentals won’t count.

A downside with this Citi Offer is that it’s only valid for Hertz rentals in the US, not overseas. I believe most—or all—Citi cards only offer secondary coverage when renting a car, so that’s something to bear in mind versus paying with a card that offers rental car coverage as primary coverage.

The terms state that the offer can’t be combined or stacked with other offers. It should still be possible to click through to Hertz from a shopping portal in order to earn those portal rewards. This restriction is more likely referring to other card-linked offers like a similar Hertz offer through SimplyMiles.

While the award pricing here isn’t necessarily what I’d call mind-blowing, there is some decent pricing available, especially because in many cases the associated taxes/fees will be lower than when booking with many other airline programs.

For example, 20,000 points to/from Europe is close to as low as you’ll get. It’s slightly higher than the 18,750 miles you’ll pay when taking advantage of Flying Blue Promo Rewards, but the taxes/fees should be lower.

35,000 points to/from Sydney isn’t bad either. That said, when running a quick award search I found a decent amount of availability to Sydney booked through American Airlines AAdvantage that’s also at 35,000 miles, as well as lots more for 40,000 miles.

One of the benefits of booking with Atmos Rewards is that you earn Status Points on these partner flights, even though you’re booking with points.

Note that flights have to be booked by August 8 and that the discounted pricing is valid for different travel periods depending on your destination.

Quick Thoughts

A past Turo Amex Offer gave 20% back on up to $150 of spend. That was helpful if you were booking a cheap rental as there was no minimum spending threshold. This latest offer though does require a minimum $150 booking, the same as the Chase Offer and Citi Offer.

Bear in mind that Turo isn’t a conventional car rental company. That means your payment card(s) likely don’t provide cover for the rental like they might with rental companies like National, Avis, Hertz, etc. Turo will have coverage options during the booking process.

Turo’s partnerships with both United and Delta have now ended, but you can click through to Turo from Rakuten, Capital One Shopping, or Capital One Offers in order to earn additional rewards on your rental.

There’s also a Turo credit available on a couple of different American Airlines credit cards at the moment which should hopefully stack with the Citi Offer.

Getting 10% back on a ride costing up to $100 is a pretty good deal if you don’t have any other cards that offer a discount on Lyft rides.

The terms state that this offer won’t stack with other offers. That’s referring to other card-linked offers like SimplyMiles—you can choose this Citi Offer or that SimplyMiles offer (if targeted), but not both.

However, it should stack with Lyft’s partnerships with other travel loyalty programs. Those are Alaska Airlines, Hilton, Bilt, and United; you can choose to earn with one of those, but not more than one.

There’s a targeted Lyft Chase Offer that’s also giving 10% back as a statement credit. Depending on which card(s) you have these various offers on, the Chase Offer might be a little more rewarding seeing as a number of Chase cards award bonus points for Lyft rides.

Last month’s promotion turned out to be unexpectedly generous. That awarded 25,000 bonus miles and initially it seemed like qualifying for the bonus miles would be tricky due to the terms stating—as with this month’s promotion too—that the minimum requirements are five active travelers and $5,000 of program spend.

However, a reader pointed out that those requirements are waived for any Citi American Airlines business cardholders. That meant many people were able to register using last month’s promo code and got the 25,000 bonus miles awarded instantly.

That was awesome, but it didn’t last long. American Airlines ended up clawing back all the 25,000 bonus miles awards that they’d issued instantly, providing 5,000 miles as compensation for affected members which was scant consolation. I’m therefore a little surprised to see American Airlines offering a similar promotion to last month, albeit with a less generous reward, especially as it’s double the amount that they gave as a consolation prize to everyone who experienced a clawback just a few weeks ago.

I suspect that Citi American Airlines business cardholders won’t benefit from waived requirements this month, but perhaps they’ll get lucky. If so, that’ll be an easy 10,000 bonus miles, but I wouldn’t count my chickens given last month’s experience.

With a limit of $10 total cashback, you’ll max this out when spending $125 across one or two transactions. If you’ll be booking a more expensive activity for two or more people and you have the offer on more than one credit card, you could book the tickets separately in order to take advantage of multiple statement credits.

Seeing as this is a card-linked spending offer, it’ll stack nicely with shopping portal rewards. Viator and TripAdvisor Experiences are often available at high portal rates, especially through Capital One Shopping where you can often get targeted for rates of 20%-35% back.

Quick Thoughts

Southwest tends to run these limited time Companion Pass promotions a couple of times per year. The value you can get from them relies on your ability to make use of them during the couple of months that the Companion Pass is valid for.

With this latest offer, you’ll get one that’s valid from January 5 through March 3, 2027. That gives you pretty much two full months to take advantage of it, although it is during a fairly quiet time of the year for people to travel. If you have lots of flexibility with your travel dates though, that can help you maximize the value received.

If you think you’d be able to utilize the Companion Pass for at least a couple of trips during that time, it might even be worth doing a mileage Companion Pass run whereby you book a cheap round trip or a couple of cheap one way flights in order to save more money/points than that on your companion’s tickets early next year.

Unlike some Companion Pass promotions in previous years, recent promotions (including this latest one) allow you to book qualifying flights with Rapid Rewards points and/or Cash + Points—it doesn’t just have to be cash tickets.

As always, the dates of this promotion are very important. Before you do anything else, you have to register for the offer. Then you have to book by Thursday August 6 and fly by November 18.

The eligible new properties were previously bookable for three months ahead of time. Since March 2026 though, IHG has extended the booking window, allowing you to make reservations for the new locations up to six months in advance.

With it being the start of a new month, there’s a new list of new IHG hotels that can be booked with points for a reduced amount.

Quick Thoughts

A lot of the new IHG hotels—particularly in the US—aren’t very inspiring seeing as many are for brands like Garner, Candlewood Suites, Holiday Inn Express, etc. However, I find it’s always worth perusing the new lists because there are sometimes hotels that could be of interest.

That’s particularly true for the list of properties bookable through January 31, 2027. In the US, it’s nearly all brands like Candlewood Suites, Holiday Inn Express, and Garner, although there are a couple of new properties in Orlando for other brands: EVEN and voco.

Things are a bit more interesting further afield. In China, there’s the new Kimpton Nine Tres Shanghai, EVEN Hotel Kunming Dianchi Lake, voco Fuzhou Jinhui, and Vignette Collection Yanshan Qiandao Lake Resort.

Europe gets a bunch of interesting new properties too. There are several Ruby Hotels which is a brand that IHG bought somewhat recently. You can get a 15% discount on award stays at those properties or, if you’re booking a paid stay, earn bonus points at them.

Paris, France gets a new Hotel Indigo, while Dublin, Ireland gets a Garner in the Temple Bar area. While Garner isn’t the most glamorous of brands, it’s always nice to have additional points-bookable options in Dublin.

Elsewhere in Europe, there’s the Vignette Collection The Venice Times Hotel in Italy, the Kimpton Quinta da Marinha in Portugal, and Iberostar Waves Cala Domingos in Spain. Turkey has several interesting-looking new hotels including an InterContinental, Vignette Collection, voco, and Crowne Plaza.

There are lots of other new hotels, so it’s worth checking the list to see if any can save you points on upcoming stays.
