Quick Thoughts

This is better than the standard checking account offer Wells Fargo has had out for a couple of years, which it keeps extending. You get an extra $75 for the effort, and the direct deposit requirement has again decreased to $1,000 from $3,000.

Wells Fargo has a broad definition of “direct deposits,” including ACH transfers from many banks. When I did this a couple of years ago, I just scheduled an ACH from my local credit union (BECU).

The terms require the account to remain open until the 90-day qualification period ends, so it’s important to understand the requirements to avoid the $15 monthly fee. You could schedule a monthly $500 ACH deposit into the account and then transfer most of it back out to keep the account free, or just leave $1,500 in the account. There’s no early termination fee if you close the account. Still, with Wells Fargo, it’s generally considered best practice to leave it open for at least a few months to avoid getting blacklisted from future bonuses.

While Trip.com’s rates aren’t quite as high as some we’ve seen on other travel sites recently (such as Viator), they’re still far better in many cases than you’ll get through other shopping portals.

Via Capital One Offers, I’m seeing rates of up to 16X miles depending on the type of booking. You can see the breakdown at the top of this post, although the rates available to you might be different than what I have. We only have miles-earning cards, but if you have cashback-earning cards then you’ll see the return as a cashback percentage instead.

You can find Capital One Offers by logging in to your account and scrolling down to the section labeled ‘Activate shopping offers’ or by clicking the link above. Click on ‘View all offers,’ and you should see Trip.com listed towards the top.

Slightly better rates are available via Capital One Shopping – the shopping portal available to anyone, even if you don’t have any Capital One credit cards. I received an email this morning with the following breakdown:

• Completed Hotel Stay – 16.5% Rewards
• Car Rental – 16.5% Rewards
• Airport Transfer Booking – 11% Rewards
• Tours – 5.5% Rewards
• Cruise – 4% Rewards
• Completed Flight – 3% Rewards

Past experience suggests that even higher rates might be sent out via email on a targeted basis later in the day, so be sure to check your emails if any Trip.com bookings are on the cards for you.

Note that, with Capital One Offers, the rewards you earn come as transferable miles or straight cashback, depending on whether you have miles-earning or cashback-earning cards. With Capital One Shopping, you earn cashback that can only be redeemed for select gift card brands, so that should be taken into account when deciding which of the two portal types works best for you.

Quick Thoughts

This can be a great bonus as it means the person you refer can essentially get a $50 item for free after cash back, and you get $50, 5,000 Membership Rewards points, or 5,000 Bilt points for helping them do it. When you sign up for Rakuten, your account preference is set to earn cash back by default, but you can switch your earning preference to Membership Rewards or Bilt points. Note that the rewards will only convert to 5,000 Bilt points if you have Bilt status, otherwise they’ll transfer on a 2:1 ratio which means you’ll only end up with 2,500 Bilt points.

Just make sure your referees sign up by September 30. They then have 90 days to make $50 in purchases through Rakuten, which should be fairly easy – it’s a good deal for them as well.

Quick Thoughts

An 8% statement credit isn’t a huge return, but it’s a decent enough offer considering there’s no minimum spend requirement and so it’s valid on cheap activities too.

With a limit of $10 total cashback, you’ll max this out when spending $125 across one or two transactions. If you’ll be booking a more expensive activity for two or more people and you have the offer on more than one credit card, you could book the tickets separately in order to take advantage of multiple statement credits.

Seeing as this is a card-linked spending offer, it’ll stack nicely with shopping portal rewards. Viator and TripAdvisor Experiences are often available at high portal rates, especially through Capital One Shopping where you can often get targeted for rates of 20%-35% back.

Quick Thoughts

Earning 10X points on up to $500 of spend on the new authorized user card(s) is a decent return on spend, especially considering you don’t have to actually hit that $500 spending cap in order to earn 10X on any of that spend.

This offer was sent to a Hawaiian Airlines credit cardholder, but there will likely be similar offers sent to targeted cardholders of other Barclays cobranded cards.

One consideration before taking advantage of this type of deal is that the authorized user cards will affect the 5/24 status of the authorized user.

Now, if the authorized user card pushes them over that five card threshold, they can call the Chase reconsideration line and ask for it not to be counted towards their 5/24 count. Chase phone reps aren’t always willing to ignore authorized user cards though; even if they are, it’s up to you whether it’s worth potentially adding more hassle in the future for your P2 for the sake of earning 10X points on a maximum of $500 spend.

Quick Thoughts

This is a handy offer if you’re planning on booking paid airfare with Cathay Pacific. The $150 statement credit should also get triggered when booking award flights using Asia Miles if the taxes and fees total $1,000 or more and are charged in US dollars rather than HK dollars. This Amex Offer is valid on one or more transactions, so it won’t matter if you’re booking flights for two or more people and payment for each person’s ticket is processed separately.

Something important to be aware of is that flights have to originate in the US. That means one way flights departing the US or round trip flights where the first flight departs from the US are eligible but not, say, a one way flight from Hong Kong to the US.

Quick Thoughts

At first glance, this seemed like a ridiculously generous offer as the email sent by American Airlines initially made it seem like you’d get 25,000 bonus miles for simply registering in the program. Sadly, that’s not the whole story based on the full terms and conditions.

That’s because you have to fulfill the program’s standard requirements in order to trigger the bonus. That involves having a minimum of five active travelers and the business spending at least $5,000 in a calendar year.

However, reader Andrew has confirmed that if you have the Citi® / AAdvantage Business World Elite Mastercard®, those requirements are waived and the 25K bonus miles will be awarded instantly. That makes this a no-brainer deal if you have that card.

inKind has had a number of Amex Offers and other discounts over the past couple of years. I ignored it for a while, but then finally signed up and have enjoyed the couple of chances I’ve had to use it.

For those unaware, inKind is a payment app. Participating restaurants allow you to settle your restaurant tab within the app, eliminating the need to give your credit card to the server (and wait for them to return with it). I was skeptical as to how useful this would be, but I’ve used it several times now and found it easy to use and convenient to simply type the check number into the app and settle the bill without any wait time.

The drawback, of course, is that you’re limited to restaurants that accept inKind payments. They certainly aren’t everywhere, though the footprint seems to be growing. Nick used it at Chef José Andrés’s Jaleo DC and Michelin-starred Gramercy Tavern in New York City, and I’ve been able to use it at several well-regarded spots in Seattle.

If you have a Costco Executive membership, you’ll also earn 2% back on the purchase as that’s earned even on gift card purchases like these.

Quick Thoughts

This isn’t the most rewarding promotion ever, but it’s worth registering if you’re eligible for it. To be eligible, you need Titanium or higher status with Marriott or Gold or higher status with United and have already linked your United and Marriott accounts. Remember to also register for this limited time promotion after linking your two accounts.

The way it works is that every time you have both a paid flight with United and a paid stay with Marriott, you’ll earn 1,500 bonus miles and 2,000 bonus points. The flight and stay don’t have to occur during the same trip, so you could take a United flight now and have a Marriott stay in several weeks time and still earn the two bonuses. Quick Thoughts

Southwest sales like this usually require that you add a promo code, but this latest sale has eliminated the need for that. As usual though, not all flights are eligible; even on routes and dates where some flights are discounted, others might not be. You’ll know if they are discounted because the original price will be struck through and the discounted price will be displayed below in green.

Also similar to Southwest’s normal sales, this discount is applicable on award flights booked using Rapid Rewards points too.

If you have any existing Southwest flights booked, be sure to reprice those to see if this sale will lower the cost of those too.

AllTrails was a godsend on our 50 state road trip as it made it incredibly easy to find hiking trails near us wherever we happened to be that week. I never subscribed to a paid tier, simply relying on the vast wealth of information that’s available for creating a free account.

If this AllTrails Amex Offer had been around back then, I’d have probably been tempted to subscribe to test out the additional functionality. My sense of direction and trail-following skills haven’t always been stellar, so having access to alerts when I’d made a wrong turn would’ve been helpful.

The AllTrails Plus subscription tier costs $35.99 per year, so you’d get $18 back from the Amex Offer. The AllTrails Peak tier meanwhile costs $79.99 per year, so you’d get the maximum $40 back as a statement credit.

In addition to that, you can click through from a shopping portal to earn additional rewards – here are the current rates. Seeing as the 50% back is a card-linked offer rather than a promo code, there shouldn’t be any problems with the purchase tracking through a portal.

That said, you can stack the Amex Offer with a promo code and possibly shopping portal rewards too. For example, promo code SARAHWALKING30 is giving 30% off, reducing a Plus membership to $25.19 and a Peak membership to $55.99. The Amex Offer would reduce the net cost to $12.60 for the Plus membership at that pricing and $28 for a Peak membership. That’s before accounting for any shopping portal rewards provided those track.

Roxy shared in the comments below that promo code APRIL26 took off 50% when this Amex Offer first appeared in April 2026. Stacking that with the Amex Offer meant you’d be saving 75% for the first year. I’m not sure if that promo code still works or if code JULY26 works seeing as this Amex Offer has been reupped since then.

Note that this promotion is offering a 30% bonus on the points earned from Southwest credit card spend—it’s not awarding 30X points per dollar. Still, earning 30% bonus points is a pretty good reward, especially considering the points are Companion Pass eligible.

You have to spend at least $3,000 in order to get the 30% bonus points, with the bonus capped at 20,000 points. That means you’ll max out this spending offer when earning a total of 66,667 points through spend.

Quick Thoughts

AA Vacations normally awards 1X mile and Loyalty Point per dollar for those without status and 5X for AAdvantage members with any level of status. This limited time promotion awards 5X for those without status and increases all the way up to 11X for those with Executive Platinum status.

Earning rates of 5X-11X could make it much easier to rack up both redeemable miles for award flights and Loyalty Points towards elite status. However, it’s not necessarily quite as generous as you might be imagining.

On the one hand, it is very generous. The number of miles and Loyalty Points earned are calculated based on the highest elite status level that anyone on the booking holds. That means that if one person has, say, Executive Platinum status but no one else traveling with them has status, all those other people’s earnings benefit from the 11X earning rate.

However, the downside for many people will be that the AAdvantage miles and Loyalty Points then get divvied up equally among all the people who are booked as part of the package. Let’s say a family of four spends $5,000 on a package and one of the people traveling has Executive Platinum status. That means they’d earn at an 11X rate, so 55,000 miles and 55,000 Loyalty Points. I imagine that many people would prefer to have all those miles and Loyalty Points accrue to the person who has status seeing as they’re likely the one who’s shooting for status and who has the most miles already. In this scenario though, the 55,000 miles and Loyalty Points would be shared equally among all four people on that booking, so 13,750 each.

It’ll be worth ensuring that everyone on a booking has an AAdvantage account, otherwise their share of miles and Loyalty Points will go to waste.

Quick Thoughts

These Breeze Airways promos have the potential to be good money-savers, but be aware that the promo code only offers a discount on the base fare. Taxes and fees sometimes make up a substantial amount of a paid Breeze ticket, so your actual savings won’t be quite as large as the headline rate.

Savings are savings though, and Breeze flies a number of routes not served by any other airline, so this sale can make those nonstop routes even more appealing.

Unlike other airlines like Southwest, where you enter the promo code before doing your search and the search results display the lower pricing immediately, you don’t enter the promo code on Breeze’s website until the final payment screen. You’re therefore not able to see the discount until the final stage after clicking through the various upsell options (e.g., seat assignment, checked bags, etc.). It could therefore be easy to forget to enter the promo code at that late stage.

I get the impression that World of Hyatt is finding bookings at its Under Canvas brand somewhat underwhelming given the plethora of concurrently running promotions trying to incentivize stays (including a recently expired one) and now this new Chase Offer.

As a reminder, here are the different promotions currently running when booking Under Canvas stays, several of which will stack with each other:

• World of Hyatt cardholders can earn 11x bonus points per dollar at Under Canvas properties
• Hyatt / Under Canvas promo: Get 15% points rebate on award stays
• Hyatt / Under Canvas promo: Get 1X American Airlines mile per $1

There’s also this separate World of Hyatt promotion that’s valid on all of Hyatt’s brands and will therefore stack with these other promos.

As for this Under Canvas Chase Offer, you have to spend $450 or more to trigger the 15% statement credit. With a maximum cashback limit of $70, it’ll be maxed out when spending a grand total of $466.67. If your stay will cost $900 or more and you have this offer on two or more cards, you can—in theory—ask to split the payment when checking out, charging $450 to two or more cards.

I say “in theory” because the terms suggest this might not be possible. That’s because the final line in the terms states that the Chase Offer is only valid on prepaid stays. However, the terms also state that the offer is valid both in-store and online. I’m not sure how you’d be able to make an in-store (i.e. on property) purchase with a prepaid booking, so I suspect that non-prepaid bookings will work to trigger the statement credit, but I can’t guarantee that.

Be sure to click through from Capital One Shopping or Capital One Offers to earn additional rewards on the stay(s).

Unlike the way that most hotel loyalty programs work, ALL Accor points have a fixed value of two Euro cents each. That means that if you stay 2-4 nights and earn 1,000 bonus points, those are worth €20 (~$23), while if you stay 5+ nights and earn 5,000 bonus points, those are worth €100 (~$114). Earning rewards worth more than $100 on a stay of five nights is a decent deal and is far more rewarding than most hotel stay promotions.

Note that this offer isn’t valid for stays in the Americas, only on stays in Europe, Africa, Middle East, & Asia. If you do need to book a stay in the Americas, there’s a 2X points promo that might be applicable.

Seeing as these are all-inclusive properties (and thus food and drink is included as part of your stay), it’s likely that you’re only going to be spending $1,000 or more in a single transaction when booking paid stays. That said, if you charge spa treatments, premium drinks, activities, etc. to your room, you could conceivably spend $1,000 or more, thereby triggering the statement credit from this Chase Offer.

This offer can be used twice for a total of $200 in statement credits. If your stay comes to $2,000, you could ask the hotel to split the charge, putting $1,000 on the card you use when checking in, then give them the same card again to pay for the rest.
