Personal injury attorney Neil Flit, who once heavily advertised in metro Atlanta area under the slogan “If you’ve been hit, call Neil Flit,” has surrendered his bar license after a special master appointed by the Georgia Supreme Court determined he mishandled funds belonging to two clients.

According to the opinion released Wednesday, Flit represented a client in a 2013 settlement and deposited the funds into his trust account. The client died in January 2014, but Flit did not turn over the proceeds or provide an accounting to the client’s estate until February 2018.
