The U.S. Supreme Court will review next term whether a new boundary for a South Carolina congressional district is an unconstitutional racial gerrymander.
The court agreed to consider the case in its orders list Monday morning. The state’s Republican lawmakers are appealing a ruling from a three-judge panel blocking district one from being used in the upcoming 2024 election.
