In a move to “boost efficiency” and modernize its CLE tracking system, the Illinois Supreme Court has instituted an online system it’s calling “groundbreaking” in helping lawyers to achieve minimum CLE compliance.

The new MCLE, or Minimum Continuing Legal Education, online transcript system is now in effect, according a news release from the state high court. Under the system, Illinois’ MCLE Board will report attorney compliance with CLE requirements “once their online transcript reflects” they’ve earned it, and at that point the Board will “send an email to the attorney confirming that information.”
