U.S. District Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil of the Southern District of New York on Wednesday rejected Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s request for a temporary restraining order blocking the U.S. House Judiciary Committee’s subpoena of Mark Pomerantz, a former special assistant to the DA, in the committee’s ongoing investigation into the indictment of former President Donald Trump.

Vyskocil, a Trump appointee, noted that she does not “endorse either side’s agenda” as she ruled that Bragg has no “legal basis to quash a congressional subpoena that was issued with a valid legislative purpose.”
