The Maryland Supreme Court recently affirmed a circuit court’s ruling, ultimately concluding that local agencies did not err in finding Amazon’s proposed use of a property fell within the definition of a “warehouse,” and that the company was lawfully permitted to develop the space, despite backlash from residents.
In a Feb. 24 opinion, the Maryland Supreme Court affirmed the ruling by the Prince George County Circuit Court, which affirmed the planning board’s determination that Amazon’s proposed use of 28.9-acre property fell within the definition of “warehouse” under the county code.
