On Tuesday, actor Alec Baldwin was officially charged with involuntary manslaughter connected to the shooting and death of “Rust” cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in Santa Fe County, New Mexico, in October 2021.

Mary Carmack-Altwies, First Judicial District Attorney of Santa Fe County in New Mexico, unveiled the formally filed charges Tuesday with the involuntary manslaughter charges against Baldwin and “Rust” armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed and with both being accused of acting with criminal negligence in connection with Hutchins’ death. The film’s assistant director David Halls was also charged for negligent use of a deadly weapon.
