Up until a few years ago, the plaintiffs bar was a planet somewhere in a galaxy far away from Harvard Law School. “I was on the Harvard Law Review—I never heard anyone talk about going to a plaintiff-side firm,” Keller Postman partner Zina Bash remembers.

With the founding of the Harvard Plaintiffs’ Law Association in 2019, students and leading law firms have increasingly stepped in to define a pipeline to plaintiffs work—the organization has been steadily growing ever since. “We are astounded by the interest in plaintiffs law practice at Harvard Law School this year,” HPLA’s newly designated co-president Andy Gu told The National Law Journal.
