A federal appeals court panel sided with an anti-abortion group Wednesday in halting a Kentucky county’s law that creates a buffer zone prohibiting standing outside health care facilities.

Chief Judge Jeffrey Sutton and Judges John Nalbandian and Richard Griffin, of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, said that the Louisville-Jefferson County law likely violates the First Amendment rights of an anti-abortion organization, Sisters for Life, that wants to distribute leaflets to women visiting Louisville’s EMW Women’s Surgical Center.
