Law firms in Atlanta and the Southeast have made a string of partner hires in environmental litigation practices this year, amid some signs of growing enforcement activity and other claims against corporations over environmental concerns.

Big Law’s environment practice moves in Atlanta this year include Thompson Hine’s addition of Atlanta partner Tanya Nesbitt, who joined from Seattle firm Marten Law in September; Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani adding Eric Hawkins in November from Hawkins Parnell & Young; and Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith recruiting Chris Collier in May, also from Hawkins Parnell.
