A federal judge has approved a $250,000 settlement between Domino’s franchise owners in Maine and Connecticut and its employees for allegations of wage violations and failure to reimburse delivery drivers for vehicle maintenance costs.
The plaintiff, Connor Anderson, filed the class action lawsuit against Team Prior Inc. and Lee Prior, who owns several franchise locations in Maine and Connecticut. The defendants were accused of violating the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Connecticut Minimum Wage Act, and the Maine Minimum Wage Law by paying delivery driver at or close to minimum wage and requiring drivers to pay their own delivery expenses, including vehicle maintenance, insurance and wear and tear, according to the court’s Oct. 28 order for final approval of the settlement.
