The U.S. government has agreed to pay $125 million to settle a long-running lawsuit over PACER fees.

In a motion for preliminary approval of the settlement filed on Tuesday, the National Veterans Legal Services Program, the National Consumer Law Center and Alliance for Justice, the three lead plaintiffs in the case, said the settlement would provide up to $350 per class member who paid for court records under the Public Access to Court Electronic Records, or PACER, from April 21, 2010, through May 31, 2018.
