Michigan’s Board of Attorney Discipline declined to extend an attorney’s 60-day suspension, despite affirming a hearing panel’s misconduct findings in full, including that the lawyer violated ethics canons by writing in a brief that the judiciary was acting “as the bitch for the opposing party.”

Attorney David Charron was suspended in Michigan for 60 days, beginning in March 2022, for misconduct during his representation of Judd Schnoor in the dissolution of an insurance business, Morris Schnoor, & Gremel, in Kent County Circuit Court. Schnoor was a 50% owner of the business with Glenn Morris, according to the board’s opinion.
