Participants of a pilot program launched in partnership with Washington courts showed that domestic violent offenders were 4% less likely to reoffend the year following Domestic Violence Moral Reconation Therapy compared to those who didn’t undergo the treatment, according to the research findings published by the Washington Supreme Court Gender and Justice Commission.
The GJC released information Sept. 12 about its research in hopes to provide perspective to other courts and communities on the low-cost treatment for domestic violence offenders.
