A class of pizza delivery drivers in Virginia recently reached a $705,000 settlement agreement with the owners of Papa John’s Pizza stores accused of violating the Fair Labor Standards Act and the Virginia Minimum Wage Law.

Plaintiff Michael Derek Compton filed an amended complaint in January 2021 accusing the defendants, North Central Virginia Restaurants Inc. doing business as Papa John’s Pizza, of failing to pay the federal minimum wage, overtime wages and the state minimum wage.
