A legal malpractice lawsuit against the law firm Lott & Fischer is being transferred to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, after the District of Massachusetts found it did not have personal jurisdiction to dismiss the complaint.

According to the Aug. 16 opinion by U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton of the District of Massachusetts, the case arose from a trademark dispute between restaurant holdings company Azumi and B.B. Kitchen. The two companies were involved in a lawsuit starting in 2007, concerning ownership of the brand name “Zuma,” which both groups used for their Japanese and Tex-Mex restaurant locations, respectively.
