A federal judge has denied Concordia Preparatory School’s partial motions to dismiss several women’s allegations that the school ignored complaints of sexual assault and harassment by male students, finding its tax-exempt status subjects it to the same requirements under Title IX that are imposed on any educational institution receiving federal funding.
Five former students of Concordia Preparatory School (CPS), formerly known as Baltimore Lutheran High School, make similar accusations of unwelcomed sexual conduct by male students. The accusations range from verbal harassment to rape, dating back to 2016, according to the opinion filed on July 21 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.
