Sixteen South Florida law firms have collectively asked the Miami-Dade Circuit Court to award over $100 million in attorney fees for their representation of various parties in litigation over the fatal collapse of Champlain Towers South in Surfside.
The firms cited the risks they incurred, the novel issues of Florida law and the resulting nine-figure settlement they achieved for the class members.
