Former President Donald Trump’s Election Day lawyers did not want to follow Rudy Giuliani down the election fraud rabbit hole, according to new testimony shared Monday by the Jan. 6 commission.

“I had conversations with all our counsel who were signed up to assist on Election Day as they disengaged with the campaign. … The general consensus was law firms were not comfortable making the arguments that Rudy Giuliani was making publicly,” Trump campaign lawyer Matt Morgan said in prerecorded testimony aired during the committee’s second public hearing.
