Public approval of the U.S. Supreme Court dropped sharply a week after the leak of a draft opinion overturning the justices’ landmark abortion rights decision in Roe v. Wade, according to a new poll.

The latest Marquette Law School national survey showed the court’s approval rating dropped to 44% with 55% disapproving of the way in which justices are handling their jobs. In March, 54% of those surveyed approved of the court’s performance while 45% disapproved.
