While law schools now have the option of allowing students to apply using their scores from the Graduate Record Exam in lieu of the Law School Admission Test, it appears law schools may still give preferential treatment to students who apply using the LSAT, according to a new survey.

Exam prep company Kaplan recently completed a flash survey of law schools regarding the Council of the American Bar Association’s Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar’s November vote to allow law schools to accept applicants’ scores from the GRE in lieu of the LSATs.
