What You Need to Know

  • Riskalyze added Tricia Rothschild, a 26-year Morningstar veteran, to its board.
  • Redtail Technology has enhanced its Redtail Speak texting and chat platform for financial advisors.
  • Fintel.io added advanced analytics to examine unusual stock options data.

Riskalyze has added Tricia Rothschild, who spent 26 years at Morningstar, to its board.

Rothschild most recently served as president of Apex Fintech Solutions and, prior to that, completed her tenure at Morningstar as its chief product officer and co-head of global markets.

While at Morningstar, she launched and headed its equity research business.

Rothschild is vice chair of the CFA Institute Board of Governors, serves on the board of Financial Fitness Group and serves on the advisory board of The TIFIN Group.

Riskalyze also added Laurie Schultz to its board as chair in November. She brings more than 30 years of experience helping to guide technology firms, including Galvanize, Intuit, Sage and TELUS. She became Canada’s first CEO to lead a technology company to unicorn status as head of Galvanize, Riskalyze said.

In addition to Schultz and Rothschild, Riskalyze’s board includes Aaron Klein, its CEO; Redtail Technology CEO Brian McLaughlin; and Hg’s Sebastien Briens, Max Dewez and Richard Earnshaw.

Redtail Expands Advisor Texting Platform

Redtail Technology has upgraded Redtail Speak, its compliance-approved, real-time communication platform for financial advisors, with enhancements it said Tuesday are focused on improving collaborative processes and accessibility, both for those who use Redtail’s CRM and those who don’t.

High demand from financial advisors for compliant text messaging options led the company to expand Speak’s breadth to include the entire financial advisory community, it said.

In addition to adding access to non-Redtail users, Speak’s latest enhancements provide efficiencies that it said “recognize advisors’ need for on-demand, real-time communication solutions.”

Two of the enhancements are the ability to set up message templates to streamline creation and delivery of commonly sent messages, and the ability to schedule messages for a future date/time.

Updates users can expect to see with the enhanced version of Speak also include: a new user interface, on its own tab outside of Redtail CRM; options to customize Speak Invite Messages to clients, individually or for the whole account, at the discretion of the owner of the account; the ability to create Message Templates (for text or chat); and the ability to schedule messages for future delivery (text or chat).

There is also a new and improved mobile version of Speak.

Speak will maintain its core functions, including easy searchability and automatic archiving of all conversations, messages and documents, which are then shared with the advisor’s email surveillance provider, Redtail added.

Fintel.io Adds Advanced Analytics

Fintel.io, a provider of advanced research tools for advisors, brokers and other investors, now provides advanced analytics that it said Wednesday examines unusual stock options data.

The new feature enables users to identify directional trading signals to improve profits and predict future stock performance, the company said.

Via the company’s Unusual Options Flow, it is now possible to “track high-level options statistics and real-time trades that allow traders to follow directional signals, giving them capabilities to predict future stock performance and growth,” it said.

The company tracks more than 9,500 funds and over 63,000 securities traded globally, it said.
