Morrison & Foerster and Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson have jumped into the bonus fray, matching the standard set by Cravath, Swaine & Moore and tacking on additional rewards for high-performers that could exceed the “special bonus” standard set by Davis Polk & Wardwell.

At Morrison & Foerster—the first Bay Area firm to announce bonuses—those who substantially exceeded the firm’s billable hours requirements will receive an additional “Client Service Award” of up to 55% of their bonus, the firm said in a memo obtained by Law.com.
