The San Diego Unified School District’s student vaccine mandate will go into effect following expiration of an injunction, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit ruled Dec. 4.

The appellants, an anonymous 16-year-old Scripps Ranch High School student and her parents, filed an emergency motion for an injunction against San Diego Unified School District’s student vaccine mandate in October 2021 because the school district’s mandate does not offer accommodations for students who are unvaccinated for religious reasons.
