Human Rights Watch has named a new general counsel after dismissing its previous legal chief for repeatedly using the N-word during an academic hate speech discussion.
Lauren Camilli is now overseeing the New York-based international research advocacy agency’s legal and compliance affairs. She previously served as the top lawyer and chief ethics and compliance officer for global humanitarian aid organization Blumont Inc.
