In November 2020, Peter Kougasian lay inside a nursing care facility as he had for many months, his body immobilized due to neurodegenerative disease, his mouth unable to form or speak words, his breathing done by a ventilator because of respiratory failure.
His mind remained keen, though. “Still working at 150%,” recalls his wife, Beth.
