In the wake of a New York state appellate court delivering an interim suspension of Rudy Giuliani’s law license, some legal ethics experts said the court’s move was “courageous” given the nation’s highly politicized post-U.S. presidential election environment.

They also said the court, in sanctioning Giuliani in an unusually detailed and direct opinion that addressed his post-election conduct both inside and outside of court, was defending the integrity of the legal profession in a necessary and robust way.
