With the Georgia Supreme Court set to hold its first in person oral arguments since the pandemic, the Daily Report asked a few lawyers who’ve appeared there over the years what they think of the remote sessions they’ve had to use and how they feel about going back.

The nine justices will hear arguments Tuesday remotely by Zoom, as they have since the pandemic began in March 2020. But Wednesday they will appear on the bench together for the first time in 15 months—with the lawyers in front of them—at the Nathan Deal Judicial Center. The new $131 million home for the Georgia Supreme Court and Court of Appeals had opened only three months before the COVID-19 shutdown.
