Million Dollar Round Table is using a member matchmaking service and a one-on-one video chat feature to add a human touch to this year’s annual meeting.
MDRT is a Park Ridge, Illinois-based group that provides educational and networking opportunities for 65,000 high-volume life insurance, health insurance and financial services professionals.
The COVID-19 pandemic forced the group to make this year’s annual meeting, which starts June 7, an all-virtual event.
People Power
Typical MDRT members love doing business face-to-face, according to the company. It has tried to cope with the shift to an online format by offering several online substitutes for in-person networking opportunities.
In addition to the usual video presentations and video panel discussions, which will be translated in 15 different languages, the MDRT annual meeting will offer a “people to meet” matchmaking service.
MDRT will use the service to match each meeting participant with three other, seemingly like-minded participants. A people to meet list will show up in a networking tab in the meeting app.
Meeting participants also will be able to use the meeting app to connect with other members through live chats, a direct messaging tool, and two 15-minute, one-on-one video calls per day.
