Andrew Stern, a well-known trial attorney who played a leading role in the record-breaking Salvation Army building collapse litigation, has died following what appears to be an accident in the bay off his Longport, New Jersey, home.

Stern, 60, died Saturday morning. He is survived by his three children, Eric, Jeff and Jen, and his wife, Gwen, who is a professor at Drexel University’s Kline School of Law. His law partner, Elizabeth Crawford, confirmed his death to The Legal on Saturday afternoon.
