As vaccination levels increase and COVID-19 rates decrease in New York, firm leaders are growing more confident about getting workers and attorneys back into the office amid warmer weather. For its part, Davis Polk & Wardwell, which posted stunning gains in revenue and profits in 2020, is welcoming New York lawyers and staff to work in the office by setting up two days in May for a “Spring Back to the Office” program.

Managing partner Neil Barr announced the voluntary program at a firmwide town hall Thursday and sent out details in a memo obtained by ALM. To further encourage lawyers and other workers to attend, the firm will reimburse up to $40 for lunch or dinner expenses around the New York office on those days, according to the memo to the New York workforce.
